        강중비금속소재물의 자동측정에 관한 고찰

        In determining non-metallic inclusion rating in steel, the efficiency and reliability of conventional manual method and computer aided automatic method using image analyzer have been investigated. To see the effect of shape change of the inclusions on the cleanliness value based on existing test standards, the test coupons examined were taken from continuously casted slab, hot rolled plate and from cold rolled sheet where some inclusions were extremely elongated. Results show that the cleanliness values determined by two methods agree fairly well for both samples with globular oxide inclusions and with properly elongated inclusions. For samples with extremely elongated inclusions, however, the cleanliness value processed by image analyzer tends to be smaller than that of manual count. It appears that the automatic method gives faster and more reliable cleanliness value since the image analyzer determines the value in area fraction instead of in point fraction.

        인접건축물의 지진응답 제어를 위한 MR 감쇠기의 복합제어 모델

        현재 건축 및 토목 구조물의 진동제어에 있어서 준능동제어에 대한 연구가 많이 수행되고 있으며 준능동제어 시스템은 수동제어와 능동제어의 장점을 가지고 있다. 최근 적은 전기 에너지로 제어가 가능한 MR 감쇠기가 개발되어 준능동제어 분야에 적용되고 있으며 이러한 MR 감쇠기를 스마트 감쇠기라 불리고 있다. 본 논문에서는 실시간으로 제어가 가능한 MR 감쇠기를 인접한 두 건축물 사이에 설치하여 제어성능을 알아보고자 한다. 또한, groundhook과 skyhook 제어 알고리즘을 결합한 복합제어 모델을 인접한 건축물의 진동제어에 적용하여 복합제어 모델의 제어성능을 알아보고자 한다. 복합제어 모델을 적용하여 인접한 두 건축물의 진동제어 성능을 분석한 결과, 복합제어 모델이 인접한 두 건축물의 진동제어에 매우 효과적인 것을 알 수 있었다. Many researchers have attempted to apply semi-active control systems in the civil engineering structures. Recently, magneto-rheological(MR) fluid dampers have been developed. This MR damper is one of semi-active dampers as a new class of smart dampers. This paper discusses the application of MR damper for seismic response control of adjacent buildings subjected to earthquake. Here, a controllable damping force of MR damper that is installed between adjacent buildings is applied to seismic response control. A hybrid model combines skyhook and groundhook control algorithm so that the benefits of each can be combined together. In this paper, hybrid control model are applied to the multi degree of freedom system representative of buildings in order to reduce seismic response of adjacent buildings. And the performance of hybrid control model is compared with that of others. It was demonstrated that hybrid control model or adjacent buildings with MR damper was effective for seismic response control of two adjacent buildings reciprocally.

        소아에서의 슬개골 골절은 성인을 포함한 전체 슬개골 골절의 약 2% 미만에서 발생하고, 모든 소아 골절의 약 1% 정도로 매우 드물게 발생한다. 성장중인 슬개골은 성인에서의 슬개골 골절과는 달리 골연골 골절 또는 견열 골절의 형태로 흔히 발생하며, 그 형태는 주로 소매형 골절로 나타난다. 소아 슬개골의 견열 골절 또는 소매형 골절은 슬개골의 상단부 혹은 하단부에서 발생하나, 대부분 슬개골 하단부가 주를 이루며, 상단부에 생긴 경우는 드물다. 저자들은 16세 소아에서 슬개골 상단부의 소매형 골절 1례를 경험하여 이를 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Patellar fractures in children represent less than 2% of all patellar fractures including adults, and occur about 1% of all pediatric fractures. Because of property of the growing patella, osteochondral or avulsion fractures are more common in children and the most common type of patella fracture in children is sleeve fracture. Avulsion or sleeve fractures of the patella in children can occur at the superior or inferior pole of the patella. Most reported cases of sleeve fracture are involving the inferior patellar pole, but involving the superior patellar pole is very rare. We experienced a case of sleeve fracture occurred at the superior pole of the patella in a sixteen-year-old boy and report this case with literature review.

        인접건축물의 진동제어를 위한 MR감쇠기의 적용

        In recently, sky-bridge are often applied to high-rised adjacent buildings for pedestrian bridge. the seisnic response control of adjacent buildings have been studied and magneto-rheological(MR) fluid dampers have been applied to seismic response control. In this study, vibration control effect of the MR damper connected adjacent buildings has been investigated. Adjacent building structures with different natural frequencies were used as example structures. Two typed of control methods, displacement based or velocity based, are applied to determinate control force of MR damper. In this numerical analysis, it has been shown that displacement-based control algorithm is more effective than velocity-based control algorithm for seismic response control of adjacent buildings. And, when displacement-based control method is applied to control of adjacent buildings, the control of building occurred large displacement is more efficient in reducing the seismic response.

      • 동위원소를 이용한 연안역 현장실험

        A field tracer experiment using a radioisotope was conducted to analyze the transportand dispersion characteristics of pollutants in the coastal area near a Wolsung. A rod float includingGPS was released to track the paths of radioisotope. NaI detector was installed to measure thereleased radioisotope from the boat, and measurements were performed with the real time. Themeasured tracer data by a field experiment can be used as the basic data for understanding thetransport characteristics of pollutants and verifying numerical models near the offshore.

        A laboratory experiment using a radioisotope was performed to analyze the characteristicsof transport and diffusion of a pollutant released from industrial plants. A wave hydraulicmodel based on the similarity theory was constructed and used to reappear the tidal wave in thelaboratory. Two-dimensional numerical models were used to reproduce the results of a wave hydraulicmodel. The measured and calculated concentrations were compared with the same conditions. As a result of the comparative study, the time of maximum concentration showed slight differencebetween them, but the values of maximum concentration were relatively well agreed.

        Contextually Relevant Theodicies for Pastoral Care

        This article is an attempt to construct contextually relevant theodicies for pastoral caretakers who have complex realities of suffering and evil. In a postmodern era, traditional theodicy cannot be contextually relevant or meaningful enough for complex human predicaments. Traditionally, theodicy has been constructed as a way of defending God. It has focused primarily on God's goodness and almighty power rather than the reality of human suffering and evil. God’s compassion has not been applied enough into constructing traditional theodicy. This article, based on the personal relationship between God and human beings, tries to focus mainly on exploring the reality of human predicaments, seeking constructing contextually relevant theodicies for practicing pastoral care. In the process of constructing a new theodicy, eventually the sufferer needs to have an experience of empathizing with God and God with the sufferer as well. For this experience, a deep and open questioning about our predicaments is required. Approaching the end of our journey of questioning we should experience the mutually communion of heart with heart in our personal relationship with God. Lastly, this article presents three steps to construct a contextually relevant theodicy for practicing pastoral care: 1) deeply questioning in human predicaments–completing the unfinished question, 2) empathizing with God–encountering God personally, and 3) constructing a new theodicy. Through our wholehearted and desperate questioning about suffering and resisting evil, we can start a journey of constructing a new theodicy. Pastoral caregivers need to elaborate and appropriate the process of constructing new theodicies in order to practice a contextually relevant pastoral care.
