BUNDLING COMPETITION BETWEEN MULTI-PRODUCT AND SINGLE-PRODUCT FIRMS

This paper analyzes a simple model where a multi-product firm competes with single-product firms possibly with bundling strategy. Mixed bundling is theoretically known as an effective business tool even in the symmetric competition as well as for the monopoly. Contrary to the literature, this paper shows that mixed bundling is dominated by component pricing or pure bundling. The result holds regardless of the product complementarity by the multi-product firm. In addition, it is shown that linear component pricing will be utilized for low complementarity while pure bundling strategy will be chosen for high complementarity.

중소기업 지속가능경영 활동에 대한 영향 요인에 관한 연구

Sustainable management is based on the concept of going-concern and social development as the center of discussion. With the recent surge in volatility and uncertainty of business environment, no company can easily think that its fate can continue. Although various researches have been carried out so far, not enough research has been conducted on sustainable management of small/medium-sized enterprises. Therefore, in this paper, we wanted to investigate the influencing factors that drive the execution of sustainable management in small/medium-sized enterprises. Most of all, among the various factors that can distinguish organizational characteristics, the internal drivers that could influence the execution of sustainable management-related activities in small/medium-sized enterprises were identified in this paper. Analysis of 60 small/medium-sized enterprises uncovered that characteristics of top management, R&D, and organizational culture could affect job creation and energy saving of small/mediumsized enterprises. 지속 가능 경영은 기업 영속성과 사회적 발전 개념을 논의의 중심으로 한 것이다. 최근 들어경영환경의 변동성과 불확실성이 급증하면서 그 어떤 기업도 자신의 운명이 계속될 수 있으리라고 쉽사리 생각할 수는 없는 상황이 계속되고 있다. 지금까지 다양한 연구들이 수행되어 왔음에도 불구하고 중소기업의 지속 가능 경영에 대해서는 아직까지 충분한 연구가 이루어지지 않고있는 실정이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 중소기업의 지속 가능 경영에 영향을 미치는 요인이 무엇인지에 관하여 살펴보고자 하였다. 무엇보다도, 본 논문에서는 조직 특성을 대별할 수 있는 여러요인들 가운데 중소기업의 지속 가능 경영 관련 활동의 실행에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 내부 동인이 무엇인지 파악해 보았다. 60개 중소기업에 대한 분석 결과, 최고 경영자, 연구개발, 그리고 조직문화 관련 특성이 중소기업의 고용 창출과 에너지 소비 절감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

In Yongwon channel, its natural flow of seawater is blocked by the construction of Busan Newport including the container berth. The channel was transformed into a narrow and long one, where it is possible that ships are only allowed to pass through the north-side channel of Gyeonmado located at the point of river mouth to Songjeongcheon. In addition, Yongwon channel is approximately 100 m wide on average and 3,600 m long, which has the highest slenderness ratio (length/width=36). So it is considered that the changes in the terrain characteristics of Yongwon channel is likely to alter the circulation of sea water, thereby changing its water quality. In this study, the seasonal change and the spatial variation of the water quality in Yongwon channel was analyzed for the effect of land pollution using the measurement data. The mass balance calculation method is used to analyze the water pollution resulting from sediment pollutants. This result shows that the improvement of the water quality in Yongwon channel can be obtained from the sewer pipe modification and the environmental dredging.

중국 정부의 급속한 국제물류체계 개발과 함께 국제물류지역의 중요성이 증가되고 있다. 국제물류 관점에서 국제물류지역에서는 화물혼재, 포장, 조립, 보안, 생산관리 등과 같은 부가가치활동이 수행된다. 본 논문에서는 시장 요인, 정치적 요인, 비용 요인, 물류인프라 요인, 그리고 법적 요인과 같은 국제물류지역에 대한 투자환경의 중요도를 평가하고 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다. 측정도구의 신뢰성과 타당성을 확인하고 다중회귀분석을 수행하여 국제물류지역에 대한 기업의 투자 결정요인을 확인하고자 하였다. 분석결과에 따르면, 시장 요인, 비용 요인, 물류인프라 요인, 그리고 법적 요인이 투자 의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 정치적 요인은 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하였다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 바탕으로 국제물류지역 투자 결정요인에 대한 이론적 기여도와 실무적 시사점을 간략하게 논의하였다. With the rapid development of international logistics, the role of international logistics zones has become increasingly important. From a logistics perspective, it provides several value-added activities in an integrated logistics system, e.g. consolidation, packaging, labeling, assembly, economic processing, contingency protection, and smoothness of operation. This study evaluated the importance of investment environment factors, namely, market, political, cost, infrastructure, and law factors, for firms’ intention to invest in international logistics zones. A multiple regression analysis was employed to analyze respondents’ investment intention to the international logistics zone in the Bohai bay region. Results indicated that market, cost, infrastructure, and law factors have a positive effect on firms’ intention to invest in international logistics zones. The influence of political factor on firms’ investment intention was not supported in this study. Theoretical and practical implications of the findings for firms’ foreign direct investment in international logistics zones are discussed.

Numerical Computation of Ultra-High-Degree Legendre Function

The computations of an ultra-high degree associated Legendre functions and its first derivative up to degree and order of 10800 are reported. Not only the magnitude of orders for the ultra-high degree calculation is presented but the numerical stability and accuracy of the computed values are described in detail. The accuracy on the order of 10-25 and 10-15 was obtained for the values of Legendre function and the first derivatives of Legendre functions, respectively. The computable highest degree and order of Legendre function in terms of latitudes and the linear relationship between the magnitude of the function with respect to degrees and orders is found. It is expected that the computed Legendre functions contribute in many geodetic and geophysical applications for simulations as well as theoretical verifications.

Times Series Analysis of GPS Receiver Clock Errors to Improve the Absolute Positioning Accuracy

Since the GPS absolute positioning with pseudorange measurements can significantly be affected by the observation error, the time series analysis of the GPS receiver clock errors was performed in this study. From the estimated receiver clock errors, the time series model is generated, and constrained back in the absolute positioning process. One of the CORS (Continuously Operating Reference Stations) network is used to analyze the behavior of the receiver clock. The dominant part of the model is the linear trend during 24 hours, and the seasonal component is also estimated. After constraining the modeled receiver clock errors, the estimated position error compared to the published coordinates is improved from ±11.4 m to ±9.5 m in 3D RMS.
