        와이어 하네스 단선 단락 선별을 위한 디지털 고장 검출 시스템 개발

        Wire harness is a component for efficient control when electronic parts are required such as construction machinery and electric vehicles. With emerging issues such as autonomous driving and automation in construction, a wire harness composed of multiple cables has become an essential part because more electronic parts are required. However, when a wire harness failure occurs, systems can be stopped, accidents can occur, and economic damage can be significant. Therefore, in this paper, we developed a digital fault screening system that could easily and quickly diagnose faults in the wire harness. The principle of the developed system was to sequentially send pulse signals to the wire harness and use returned signals to perform fault detection. As a result of diagnosing faults using the developed failure detection system, a detection accuracy of 99.9 % was confirmed through the experiments.

        수치화 열역학 물성도를 이용한 초임계 추출공정의 분리수율 및 에너지수요 분석

        디지타이저를 이용하여 도표로 발표된 물성 데이터들을 정밀하고 신속하게 수치데이터로 환산할 수 있는 알고리듬을 제안하였다. 수치자료화한 데이터를 이용하여 필요한 내삽이나 공정해석에 응용할 수 있는 가시적인 최적화방법에 대하여 검토하였다. Pitzer의 압축인자 도표를 수치화한 후 내삽한 데이터와 이를 원래의 수치데이터 값들과 비교한 결과 도표자료 내삽의 신뢰도를 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 CO₂에 의해 식용대두유를 추출하는 초임계 용매 추출공정에 응용한 결과 용해도 및 용매의 물성도표만으로 분리수율을 증가시키면서 조업에너지 소요량을 최소화할 수 있는 열역학적 최적화 방안을 제안하였다. We presented an algorithm that can constructs digitized databases from various graphical representations such as thermodynamic property charts by utilizing a desk-top digitizer properly. It is found that any types of usual model-oriented process calculation such as interpolations and process optimization can be equivalently accomplished with these digitized property charts. As the first illustration, the compressibility factors for any reduced temperature and pressure can be evaluated quickly and accurately by digitized Pitzer's Z-chart with linear and cubic spline interpolation methods. As the second illustration, optimum operation paths which give maximum separation yield with the least of energy demand can be sought with the digitized property chart for the supercritical extraction process of soybean oil with carbon dioxide.

        The Interactional Patterns of Socializing into Reading Strategy Development in an ESL Reading Class

        The primary purpose of this study was to examine the different patterns of interaction ESL Korean students engaged in while learning reading strategies through the classroom interaction in the context of a TOEFL reading class. From a perspective of L2 socialization, this study explored how interactional patterns could constrain or promote the opportunities to develop reading strategies. This paper examined the sequences of peer interactions to observe to what extent the students’ utterances were organized in the way to facilitate their learning of reading strategies. Using the strategy-related utterances and interviews with students, the researcher identified two different sequences of interactions that helped to understand the learner differences in reading strategy use. The results showed that the Korean students were better able to negotiate difficulties and expertise under the complete sequence of interaction described as asking questions, helping behaviors by others, and returning the initial task. On the contrary, under the incomplete sequence of interaction, the opportunities to develop students’ own strategies often went awry in the middle of the classroom practices. The present study argues for the important role of the socially organized activity in reading strategy development in L2 reading classes.

        The Use of Electronic Channel in the Multicultural English Class: Broadening Communication Circles

        The present study explored how ESL Korean students who had the different expectations about classroom practices negotiated U.S. and Korean cultures of learning through the use of electronic channel in the college writing classroom. From the tradition of ethnography of communication, this study looked at the ways in which Korean students engaged in electronic interaction to mediate different norms for appropriate interactions. Electronic interactions broadened communication circles beyond the classroom for Korean students by providing their own space of learning to negotiate different cultures of learning in U.S. classes. Specifically, the Korean students who valued “preparation for class” more than “participation” appeared to interact on the margins during the classroom practices. However, there were no significant differences in electronic interactions between Korean students and their American peers, demonstrating the importance of incorporating a written communication channel into a regular part of instructional practices. This paper argues for the electronic interaction in multicultural English classes as a mediating channel to broaden communication circles.

        Patterns of Integrating Reading and Writing Skills in ESL College Composition Classes

        This study examined patterns of engaging in "reading in connection to writing" (hereafter reading-writing practices) in the context of two ESL college composition classrooms. The purpose of this study was to explore whether the L2 proficiency level could be a key construct in explaining similarities and differences in reading-writing practices which students engaged in during the composing process. Multiple sources of data collected over the semester included interview protocols, written products, and observational notes. The results showed that the three proficiency groups under examination differed widely in the ways reading was connected to writing and in the types of intermediate texts produced during the composing process. The students in the high proficiency group produced more intermediate texts through an engagement in reading-writing practices connected to each other. On the contrary, the students in lower proficiency groups engaged in a limited range of reading-writing practices without support of intermediate texts. This study provides insight into the different ways ESL college students coordinate reading and writing while composing essays.

        The Use of Textural Borrowing Strategies by EFL College Writers in Summary Task

In English college writing classes, practitioners often emphasize the importance of paraphrasing as a strategy for avoiding inappropriate copying (plagiarism) especially for L2 writers. Few studies, however, have examined the ways in which college students when incorporating source texts into their writing use paraphrasing in the EFL context. The present study analyzed EFL (N=174) students' use of textural borrowing strategies across the different proficient groups by classifying Paraphrase Types in their summary writing into four categories: Copy, Near Copy, Minimal Revision, and Substantial Revision. The results showed that Korean students' linguistic competence influenced their use of textual borrowing strategies, and that the differences observed among the proficiency groups indicated the consistent pattern occurring on the Copy-Paraphrase continuum. It is suggested that, for EFL college students, copying from source texts is a developmental stage through which they acquire more sophisticated ways of incorporating sources into their summary writing.         상보적 수업에 대한 웹기반 적용의 효과

        Recently, learning how to learn is a matter of concern among many pedagogists and become the important subject matter of school education. That's why there are many learners who fail to get good results compared with their potential abilities and efforts, as well as the necessity to educate independent and self-determined learner by teaching learning strategies that can help leaners to get new information and skills by themselves in an information-oriented society was emphasized. Therefore, this study is to utilize the learning strategy in order to improve the learners study skills, and grope for the method of self-directed learning about the social studies centered on the learners. And, it is to utilize the reciprocal teaching with the learning strategy for improving the learners study skills. Also, it is to make the learners induced to participate in the teaching for social studies actively, grafting the characteristics of web on the reciprocal teaching. According to this intent, this study was developed as three steps. As for the first step, it investigated the reciprocal teaching, a teaching-learning theory to apply to the program, and the theoretical background about web utility in the social studies. On the second step, it embodied the reciprocal teaching-learning system about the we-based social studies that will be available in the self-directed learning centered on the learners. Lastly, it analysed the change of recognition about the learners social study skills and the learning the social studies after applying the materialized website to the actual lesson.
