A clinical Study on Alcoholic Mental Disorders The author has made a chart review of 52 alcoholic patients who had been admitted to the Neuro psychiatric ward of Chonnam University Hospital during the period of November 1979 to October 1984. The results are Summarized as follow; 1) The admission rate of alcoholic patients was 8.4% of all admisson. 2) Most of the alcoholics (67.2%) fell into the 30 to 40 year old age group. and all were males. 3) The eldest sibling were overrepresented and most of the alcoholics (80.8%) 4) Twenty patients (38.5%) graduated below primary school and 32 patients (61.5%) worked as labourer. 5) Most of the alcohols (90.5%) had no religion and 24 patients (46.2%), reside in urban areas. 6) The common premorbid personalities found in the alcoholics were passive aggressive (30.8%), obsessive-compulsive(13.5%) and paranoid personality (13.5%) Economic and intrafamilial stress proved to be the common precipitating factors. 7) Thirty three patients (63.5%) were admitted by way of the opd and 12 patients were admitted by way of the ER. and forty-five patients(86.5) were admitted by involuntary measures. 8) Thirty seven patients (71.1%) were discharged within 2 weeks and 32 patients (61.5%) were first admission. 9) Thirty five patients (67.3%) were Supported no insurance.

This study was carried out for the purpose of comparing the recognition of the patients and nurses on the stress levels of hospitalized patients. The subject of this study was 150 nurses and 200 medical-surgical patients of the three general hospitals in K city from oct. 1st till 31th 1983. The results were as follows : 1. A general background related to the patients and nurses. In the case of patients, 20~29 age group was 44.5%, male and female was each 50%, in the third class admission room they were 60% and they were 67.0% in emergency admission. In the case of nurses, 20~29 age group was 81.4% and under 4 years was 67.3% in nursing career. 2. Their was no significant difference in the stress levels of the the patient's age, sex, the degree of admission room and admission plan. 3. The average of the stress scale of nurses group on the general items causing stress was showed high 0.65. 4. In each group(nurses and patients) the stress levels was appeard highest in educational point and lowest in hospital environment. 5. The ranking of the stress levels in items was very similar in each group, among the items, "The case of the patient's disappointment about uneffective treatment" was recognized the most high level stress by patients and nurses that average was each 3.82 and 4.30. The next highest item was "Not knowing for sure what illness you have" that average was each 3.82 in the patients and 4.30 in the nurses.

The purpose of this study is to analyze characteristics of America and Netherlands Flower arrangements comparatively, and understand general features of those arrangements for helping evaluate and create new form. The result of this summarized as follows. The standard points showed that American Flower arrangements is considered to be an objective thing when nature is analysed and used in geometrical forms, emphasizing reasonable and aesthetic standards, rather than its own individual influence. In addition, it was shown that American Flower arrangements comes to be an modern America and Netherlands type which was influenced by decorative, geometrical Flower arrangements. There were difference between American and Netherlands Flower arrangements. American Flower arrangements developed not only basic form but also various formal composition. In contrast, Netherlands Flower arrangements showed a lot of alteration in few kinds of basic form instead of creating new form, and is applied a variety of field according to place and occasion. From the modern viewpoint, however, American and Netherland Flower arrangements have their common features which tried to express aesthetic and functional arts based on artistic design principles and elements suitable for the purpose of flower design.
