        베트남의 한국 언어ㆍ문화 교육 현황에 관한 연구

        본 연구에서는 베트남 대학들에서 진행하고 있는 한국언어문화 교육에 대한 전반적인 현황과 문제점에 대해 다루고 베트남의 한국언어문화 증진을 위한 방안에 대해서도 검토하였다. 1993년 9월에 최초로 하노이국립대학교에 한국학과가 개설된 이후그 수가 꾸준히 늘어 2005년에는 9개, 2014 년 현재는 14개 대학교에한국언어문화 관련 강좌가 개설되어 있다. 또한 현재 10개의 대학교에서 한국언어문 화 관련 학과와 별도로 11개의 한국어센터 및 한국학센터를 보유하고 있다. 베트남 대학들의 한국언어문화학 교과과정을 보면, 대체적으로 1,2학년에 듣기, 말하기, 읽기, 쓰기와 문법 과 목, 3,4학년에는 문화, 경제, 경치, 역사, 사회, 문학 등 한국학 관련 주요과목 및 통 번역과목이 배정되어 있다. 베트남 대학들의 가장 시급하고 당면한 과제로는 전문 교수진의 부족을 들 수 있다. 현재 베트남 대학들의 한국 언어문화학에 종사하는총 교수진은 133명으로, 박사학위를 취득한 교수진의 비중은 차치하더라도 학생 대비 교수의 숫자가 적은 부분은 시급히 해결해야 할점이라고 본다. 이상의 문제점을 개선하기 위해서는 베트남 정부와 대학에서 연구자들이 교육기관에서 일을 할 수 있게 우대 정책 등 적극적인 지원이 필요하다. 그렇게 될 때 베트남에서의 한국언어문화학 교육은 장래에 큰 발전이 보장 될 수 있으리라 판단된다. A Study in the KoreanLanguage and Culture Education in Vietnam. Journal of the InternationalNetwork for Korean Language and Culture 11-2, 79-106. This paper presents status regarding current education of Koreanlanguage and culture at universities in Vietnam. In addition,solutions to strengthen the Korean language and culture educationin Vietnam are also presented. The department of Koreanstudies at the VNU(Vietnam National University) Hanoi University,which is the first department of Korean studies in Vietnam, wasestablished in September 1993. In 2005, there were totally 9universities that were established and related to Korean languageand Korean studies. Until now, 14 universities all over thecountry, which have the faculty members of Korean languageand culture, have been established. Moreover, due to the highdemand of studying Korean, many universities have beencooperated with Korean government to establish the Sejongcenter. Recently in the universities in Vietnam, there has been avisible trend towards opening the center for Korean languageand Korean studies. Currently, 11 centers in 10 universities inthe country have been established Korean centers. Korean languageand Korean studies education in Vietnam is in great diversity. Besides increasing volume of the demand the quality of theKorean language and culture education is clearly improved. Thisis due to the fact that many Korean companies are investing in Vietnam and the demand of studying Korean is increasingbecause of the Korean Wave. Moreover, support of Korean governmentand companies accelerate development of Korean centers inVietnam rapidly. The program in Korean language and culture center is mainlyfocusing on the areas of listening, speaking, reading, writing,grammar, culture, economics, history, politics, society, translationcourse and more. The imperative problem in the Korean language and cultureeducation in universities in Vietnam is lack of professional staff. Now, the number of teachers in the faculty of Korean languageof universities in Vietnam are 133, including 14 doctors (10.5%),84 masters (63.2%), and 35 bachelors (26.3%). In order to solve these problems, the Vietnamese governmentand universities should support the Korean researchers. It isevident that the Korean language and culture education in Vietnamwill more prosper in the future once these conditions aremet.

        베트남 달랏대학교와 다낭대학교의 한국어교육의 현황과 과제 -지역 문화와 연계성을 중심으로

        The purpose of this report is to summarize the characteristics of the central Vietnam province and to examine the Korean language education of this region. The result of contemplating the Da Lat city and Da Nang city in the aspect of geography, culture and language, the characteristics of the Vietnam is related to the Korean language education. This study carried out an in-depth interview premising that the Da Lat and Da Nang has unique characteristics which are different from other regions. And based on that interview, this study examined the current situation and the problems of the Korean language major in the newly established universities in central Vietnam. The task to develop Korean language education in Vietnam is as the following in the aspect of practicality and policy. What Vietnam`s Da Lat and Da Nang should specialize, different from other regions, is the Korean language education based on the preservation and expansion of Vietnam`s traditional language culture. It could be both advantage and weakness that Vietnam is practical and easily absorbs the other culture. Central Vietnam should learn the lesson from the north and the south region of Vietnam. This is an Important Issue to Korean Studies Education in Vietnam`s Da Lat University and Da Nang University. Da Lat University and Da Nang University is preserving the Vietnam`s spirit and it has such historical foundation. Da Lat University and Da Nang University`s Korean language education should be headed to the consideration of both job purpose Korean language education and the language education that combines Vietnam`s traditional language culture and that of Korea.

        한국-베트남 대학교육협력모델에 대한 연구 : 국내대학교와 베트남자매대학교와의 3+1, 2+2 공동교육제도를 중심으로

        Universities that offer Vietnam-related resources operate various joint education programs withpartner universities in Vietnam in order to expand local training opportunities for students. 3+1 and2+2 joint education programs are the typical examples. These programs are programs in whichqualifying students study one year or two at one of the partner universities in Vietnam on avoluntary basis. These programs allow the students to realize their language proficiency level andaccord learning motivation by being aware of the necessity of studying Vietnamese language. Theyalso provide them with the opportunity for improving language skill by being exposed to Vietnamesespeaking environment. As of the year 2013, 25 students only from "A" university are studying atVietnam participating in the 3+1 and 2+2 programs. Especially recently, due to perception changesover time about Vietnam and an increase in peronnel exchange, growing number of students study inVietnam. These programs have their own strengths that students earn a good command of language as localstudy period is prolonged because Vietnam has a different educational contents and system. However,as the education period in Korea is shorten, these programs have been criticized for beinginappropriate to nurture human resource with high work performance that many domesticcorporations require. This study raises the following questions “what is the problem of joint educationprograms and what is the improvement plan?”The three methods of research chosen for this study are model analysis, comparative analysis, andsurvey and interview. All the universities that operate joint education programs cannot be covered, therefor, the "A" university has been selected as an analysis model for its abundant database andeasy access to it. This study will draw a conclusion about whether these programs can bring expectedeffects to domestic universities by analyzing operation situation and the joint education programagreements between this university and its partner universities in Vietnam. Lastly, the respondents tothe survey were students who have participated or are participating in 3+1 or 2+2 joint educationprograms. Interviews with professors in partner universities in Vietnam were conducted in order tomake improvement plans by listening to principals who operates the programs practically. 현재 베트남관련학과가 있는 일부 대학들은 학생들에게 현지연수 기회를 최대한 확대하기위해 베트남자매대학들과 다양한 공동교육프로그램을 운영하고 있다. 그 대표적인 것이 3+1과 2+2 공동교육프로그램이다. 이것은 국내대학 4년 과정 중, 일정한 자격을 구비한 학생에한하여 본인의 의사에 따라, 1년 또는 2년 동안 베트남자매대학에서 공부하는 제도이다. 이 프로그램은 적어도 자신의 베트남어 수준을 깨닫고 베트남어 학습에 대한 필요성을 인식하게하여 학습동기를 부여하는 한편 베트남어를 구사하는 환경에 노출되어 언어 구사 능력을 향상시키는 기회를 제공하는 것임에는 틀림이 없다. 2013년 현재, 청운대학교에서만 25명의 학생들이 3+1과 2+2 제도에 따라 현지에서 공부하고 있다. 특히 최근, 베트남에 대한 인식 변화와 더불어 인적교류가 늘어나면서 베트남으로 공부하러 가는 학생 수도 더 늘어나는 추세에있다. 그러나 3+1, 2+2제도는, 교육의 내용과 체계가 한국과는 다른 베트남현지에서의 교육기간이 길어지고 한국에서의 교육기간이 그 만큼 짧아지면서 언어구사능력이 향상된다는 의미는있지만, 다른 한편으로 국내 기업이 필요로 하는 통합적인 업무수행능력을 갖춘 인재양성에는부적합하다는 비판이 제기되고 있다. 본 연구는 다음과 같은 문제를 제기한다. “공동교육프로그램의 문제점은 무엇이며 그 개선방안은 무엇인가?”본 연구를 수행하기 위한 연구방법은 크게 세 가지로 모델분석, 비교·분석방법과 설문 및인터뷰이다. 공동교육프로그램을 운영하는 모든 대학교의 경우를 연구할 수 없기 때문에 자료가 풍부하고 수집이 용이한 청운대학교를 분석 모델로 선정하였다. 그리고 이 대학교와 베트남자매대학교 간의 공동교육프로그램에 대한 협정서와 운영 현실을 비교하여 분석함으로써 국내대학들이 공동교육프로그램을 통해 기대한 교육효과를 가져올 수 있는가에 대한 답을 찾을 것이다. 또한 3+1과 2+2를 비교, 분석하여 “3+1, 2+2 두 가지 중 어느 제도가 목적에 보다적합한가?”에 대한 답을 찾을 것이다. 마지막으로, 3+1, 2+2 공동교육프로그램에 참여했던 경험이 있고 또 참여 하고 있는 학생들을 대상으로 설문조사를 수행했으며 베트남자매대학의교수들에 대한 인터뷰도 병행하였다. 이것은 공동교육프로그램을 실질적으로 수행하고 있는주체의 의견을 청취함으로써 문제점을 발견하고 개선방안을 마련하기 위한 것이다.

        Factors Affecting Responsibility Accounting at Public Universities: Evidence from Vietnam

        The study explores factors that affect the performance of responsibility accounting at public universities in Vietnam. The study conducted a survey of 130, out of 154 public universities in Vietnam and uses regression analysis methods. The results identify eight groups of factors affecting the performance of responsibility accounting at these establishments of higher education: Division of the organization into responsibility centers, Estimation and Reality, Cost and income allocation, University autonomy, Management decentralization, Estimation, Reward, and Report. Costs and income allocation for responsibility centers, university autonomy, and the division of universities into responsibility centers are shown to significantly affect the performance of public universities in Vietnam. The results show that the performance of responsibility accounting at public universities in Vietnam is influenced by decentralization of management, division of the organization into responsibility centers, reward, cost and income allocation, estimation, evaluation of the results achieved between the estimation compared with reality, release of reports and university autonomy. Among the factors, cost and income allocation, university autonomy, division of the organization into responsibility centers, reward and evaluation of results achieved between estimation and reality have strong impacts. The study findings also indicate that the school council does not affect responsibility accounting at these universities.

        Factors Affecting Brand Values of Private Universities: A Case Study of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH)

        The current higher education in Vietnam demonstrates the intense competition among local universities. Undoubtedly, the issue of enhancing the brand value to attract students is now placed at the top to Vietnamese universities. The research aims to identify the objective and subjective factors affecting the brand value of private universities in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam as mediated by students’ perceptions. This paper employs the mixed research methods and data were then analyzed by measuring Cronbach's Alpha coefficient for reliability, analyzing EFA, and using PATH model to test the experiment on the research model affecting HUTECH’s brand value. Probability sampling used is Stratified sampling and 500 students of 8 faculties of HUTECH surveyed by convenience sampling. Additionally, this paper also proposes some managerial implications on enhancing the brand value of private universities in Ho Chi Minh City. The results indicate that the new factor, namely geographic location is the most influential factor to enhance the brand value of private universities in general and HUTECH in particular. Brand still plays a determinant role in students' trust when choosing a university. Finally, some implications proposed to enhance the brand value of private universities in Ho Chi Minh City in the context of fierce competition in attracting students.

        Factors Affecting Students' Decision to Select Private Universities in Vietnam

        The study seeks to identify factors affecting the choice of a university by first-year Business Administration students in Vietnam. Probability sampling is using Stratified sampling of 500 students from five private universities in Ho Chi Minh City surveyed by convenience sampling. This paper employs mixed research methods - measuring Cronbach's Alpha, EFA, Regression and using PATH model - to test the hypotheses of the research model. The results of the study identify five factors: Prestige, Geographical location, Facilities, Attractiveness of the field and Media. All these factors have a positive influence on the standing of the university brand. It means that the higher the Prestige, Geographical location, Facilities, Attractiveness of the field and Media, the higher the university brand. The results indicate that Geographical location is the most influential factor to enhance the private university's brand. Bringing Geographical location is, thus, advisable to enhance a university standing. The brand plays a determining role in students' trust when selecting a university. Media is still the top concern of new students when they choose to study at a university. Media still remains an important consideration for new students when choosing a university. So, this factor should be utilized by universities to enhance their attractiveness.

        베트남 남부지역의 한국어교육 현황: 호치민국가인문사회과학대학교, 외국어정보대학교, 홍방대학교를 중심으로

        This paper sought for overseas Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City 4 Korean courses, Korean education courses as part of the plan, a target for mainly looked at three universities. The three universities are now responsible for education in Vietnam, the most influential Korean National Humanities and Social Sciences University of Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages Information Technology, Ho Chi Minh City HongBang University. Graduates of the university since contribute to the establishment of other universities about a department of the Korean, now the newly created a major of Korean languages, they has been teaching Vietnamese students in Korean languages and Korean Culture, Korea Politics, Korea Economic Daily, Korea and Literature, Korea geography. How to research the current study, I was investigating ways each full-time instructors at the University where he is being a teaching, and had served instructor-depth interviews with a career two years ago. Through this, we can could be compared and assessment methods and data, learning objectives, syllabus, textbooks, teaching styles. The appearance of Korean language education in Vietnam was revealed in the process and issues and improvements were also derived. Therefore, this paper is process of Korean language education in Vietnam that can be determined by the status of the concrete, at the same time, we are able to gauge the Korean educational process of Vietnam university in Southeast Asia.

        Application of Cost-Volume-Profit Analysis in Decision-Making by Public Universities in Vietnam

        This paper aims to examine the application of cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis by public universities in Vietnam. In the context where Vietnam is gradually transferring financial autonomy to public universities, the conduct of a CVP analysis in relation to these public universities is particularly urgent. Research samples were collected in 2018 and 2019 by surveying Vietnamese public universities. After collection, the data is synthesized by excel file, conformity check, data cleansing and data analysis on SPSS software by tools such as Frequency statistics, price statistics, and means. The results show that: (1) universities used the CVP analysis in decision-making, (2) information related to the CVP analysis used for decision-making by administrators remained simplistic and lacked cost-control details, and (3) the application of the CVP analysis by university administrators for decision-making was neither comprehensive nor coordinated. The findings also show that, given the current conditions in Vietnam, increasing the governance in public universities is essential, as is contributing to reducing costs, increasing universities'income, providing the best service to students, and improving the quality of training. The study calls for the flexible application of the CVP analysis, which will provide information to help managers at Vietnamese public universities make the best decisions.

        베트남 대학기관평가인증 제도 및 평가준거의 변화와 시사점

        This study aims to introduce the evolution of Vietnam's institutional evaluation and accreditation system and the current evaluation criteria. Accordingly, this study examines the overall development of Vietnam's institutional evaluation and accreditation system and summarizes the evaluation criteria. Vietnam began to pay attention to the quality of higher education in the 2000s. In 2003, the Vietnam Education Quality Review and Evaluation Agency was established by the Ministry of Education. In 2004, the Interim Regulations on Accreditation and Evaluation of Higher Education Institutions were issued, and for the first time, Vietnam started its own accreditation and evaluation of higher education institutions. In 2005, the Education Law was amended to provide a legal basis for accreditation, and in 2007, official regulations were issued to replace the 2004 interim regulations, providing a solid legal foundation. In 2013, the Center for University Assessment and Accreditation was established under Hanoi National University. In 2017, the Center completely changed the evaluation indicators used until now, replacing them with new ones based on the evaluation indicators of the ASEAN University Network (AUN). Based on these findings, we outline recommendations for higher education in Vietnam and implications for higher education in Korea.

        The Influence of University Sustainability Practices on Student Loyalty: An Empirical Study from Vietnam

        The purpose of this paper is to examine whether service quality, student satisfaction, and university image mediate the relationship between university sustainability practices and student loyalty of the students in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. To analyze the data, this study used a structural equation model to explore the relationships existing between constructs. A structured questionnaire comprising of 22 questions was used with 5 constructs. A total of 465 students from Ho Chi Minh City universities filled in the newly developed questionnaires using five points Likert scales. Consistent with the existing result, the study reveals a valuable insight on university sustainability practices toward student loyalty of the university. According to the findings, university sustainability practices have a positive direct impact on service quality, student satisfaction, university image, and student loyalty. And also service quality has a positive strong impact on student loyalty. Furthermore, service quality, student satisfaction, and university image play the mediating role in the relationship between university sustainability practices and student loyalty. Thus, the loyalty of students seems to reflect quite well from university sustainability practices, service quality, and university image. The findings indicate that universities should be more concerned about university sustainability practices, service quality, and university image in attracting student loyalty.
