팬데믹 시대 무장애 전시 콘텐츠 및 서비스에 관한 사례 연구 -「아시아의 표해록」전을 중심으로

본 연구의 목적은 코로나 시대 강화된 디지털과 온라인 기반 전시에서 무장애(배리어 프리) 서비스의 가능성을 탐색하는 것이다. 연구 대상은 「아시아의 표해록(漂海錄)」(2019; 2020) 전시에서 시도되었던 무장애 전시 콘텐츠와 서비스이다. 연구방법은 크게 무장애 전시 공간 및 콘텐츠 제작과, 무장애 서비스 둘로 나누어 고찰하였다. 연구내용은 첫째, 점자 체험존을 도입하여 시각장애인의 전시 감상을 도왔다. 둘째, 평면 2D 회화인 「범사도(泛槎圖)」를 디지털 동영상으로 제작, 공감각적인 콘텐츠를 제공하였다. 셋째, 점자 리플렛과 도록 제작, 수어 전시해설 동영상 및 VR 영상 배포, 장애인 관람 서비스, 촉각형 배 모형과 책갈피 문화상품 개발, 오디오북 제작 등과 같은 무장애 서비스를 제공하였다. 연구 결과 「표해록」전이 디지털 기술을 적극 활용하면서도 장애인과 상호작용함으로써 향후 배리어 프리 전시의 발전 방향을 시사하는 한 사례로 제시하였다. 제언은 첫째, 디지털 매체와 문화의 융합을 적극적으로 반영한 새로운 배리어 프리 전시의 개발 필요성이다. 둘째, 무장애 상호작용성(barrier-free interactivity)에 기반한 배리어 프리 서비스의 확장과 재정의가 필요하다. The purpose of this study is to explore the possibility of barrier-free services in enhanced digital and online-based exhibitions in the pandemic era. The subject of this study is the barrier-free exhibition content and services that were attempted in the exhibition Asian Drifting Records (2019; 2020). The research method was largely divided into two; barrier-free exhibition zone and content production, and barrier-free services. The contents of the study are as follows; first, the introduction of the Braille experience zone helped the visually impaired to appreciate the exhibition. Second, a flat 2D painting, Beomsado (The Drifting Boat), was produced as a digital video to help the synesthetic appreciation. Third, barrier-free services such as production of Braille leaflets and catalogs, an distribution exhibition videos in sign language and VR video, viewing services for the disabled, tactile ship models and bookmarks, and audio books were provided. As a result of the study, Asian Drifting Records was presented as an example suggesting the future direction of barrier-free exhibitions by actively utilizing digital technology and interacting with the disabled. Overall, two conclusion are suggested; first, the need to develop a new barrier-free exhibition that actively reflects the convergence of digital media and culture. Second, it is necessary to expand and redefine barrier-free services based on barrier-free interactivity.

A Study on the Digital Convergence Content in the LiteraryExhibition -Centering on the Exhibition Asian Drifting RecordsJaeyeon Ahn Abstract: The purpose of this study is to present a case of convergence exhibition using digital technology in literature exhibition. In particular, it is an urgent task to study literature exhibitions using digital media or cultural technology when it is predicted that exhibitions using online platform-based and cutting-edge technologies are the main trend in the post-corona era. The exhibition, Asian Drifting Records, was selected as the subject of this study. The ancient literary genre, “drifting record” is difficult for audiences to understand and has limited access due to the nature of the material, so digital media and cultural technology are actively employed from the planning stage. As a research method, cases such as the digital Drifting Boat (Beomsado) and e-book production, kiosk and video looping services, online exhibition and VR video production are introduced. As a suggestion, first, as shown above, the exhibition of literature should actively utilize cultural technology and digital media. Second, it is necessary to increase the audience’s synesthetic experience through the fusion of culture, art, science, and technology in the literary exhibition. Drifting Records(漂海錄) are the unofficial written documents as a concrete and realistic narrative made through informal contact with people of various classes including intellectuals, soldiers, merchants, or fishermen etc. From the 15th to 19th centuries, major drifting records of Asia were produced in China, Japan, Korea, or Vietnam written in the Chinese characters. However, research on the development of exhibition content using them is very insufficient. Moreover, it is difficult to find research on how to educate these themes in museums and exhibition program, and how to organize and utilize exhibitions as marine cultural content. This study scrutinizes major drifting records of the 15th and 19th centuries from all over Asia, while organizing exhibition content that shows the reality of various exchanges and history that Asian countries have continued. On the other hand, I visually present one aspect of the pre-modern Asian maritime civilization network through the exhibition content that includes excitement of the ocean experience and customs of the exotic other Asian countries. Lastly, I try to examine the possibilities of marine cultural content from various angles by investigating and utilizing novels, documentaries, dramas, movies, and plays based on the drifting records.
