한국무용 기본춤 연구 동향 -태극구조기본춤을 중심으로-

Purpose: This study aims to draw more in-depth and specific implications for research on basic dance by focusing on the role and necessity of basic dance education, which is the most important in the Korean dance field. Methods: From 1974 to 2023, when basic Korean dance research began, data were collected from the Academic Search Site (RISS), and 43 thesis and 43 academic journal papers were selected for research to examine research trends related to basic dance. Next, based on the research conducted on the subject of Taegeuk Structure Basic Dance, standard trends by year, issuer, and subject were analyzed. Result: From the beginning of the study to the present, research related to Taegeuk Structure Basic Dance is judged to have been carried out steadily without being concentrated at a specific time, and the most discussed subject area is movement analysis (42.1%). The value of the Taegeuk Structure Basic Dance is proven in that it is a unique basic dance created based on the theory and basis embodied based on the traditional dance. Conclusion: It is hoped that this study will serve as the basis for various discussions that contribute to the revitalization of research and strengthen the reality of basic dance by encouraging various existing basic dance-related studies. Furthermore, it is hoped that it will serve as an opportunity to the development of dance education and dance studies. 연구목적: 한국춤 현장에서 가장 중요시 행해지고 있는 기본춤 교육의 역할과 필요성에 주목, 기본춤 관련 연구의 보다 심층적이고 세분화된 시사점을 도출하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구방법: 한국무용 기본춤 관련 연구가 시작된 1974년부터 현재까지의 자료를 학술검색 사이트(RISS)에서 수집, 학위논문 43편과 학술지 논문 43편의 총 86편을 대상으로 선정, 기본춤 관련 연구 동향을 살펴보았다. 그 다음으로 태극구조기본춤을 주제로 수행된 연구의 연도별, 발행기관별, 주제별 기준 동향을 분석하였다. 연구결과: 기본춤 관련 연구의 모범 사례로써 태극구조기본춤의 연구 사례를 분석, 그 동향을 살핌으로 기본춤 관련 연구의 다각적인 방법론 탐색에 도움이 되고자 하였다. 그 결과, 태극구조기본춤 관련 연구개시 1998년부터 현재까지 꾸준한 연구가 수행되었음이 확인되며, 가장 많이 논의된 주제 분야는 움직임 분석(42.1%)연구이다. 태극구조기본춤이 전통춤을 기반으로 구체화된 이론과 근거하에 창안된 유일무이한 기본춤이라는 점에서 그 가치가 입증된다. 결론: 본연구가 현존하는 다양한 기본춤 관련 연구를 독려하여 연구 활성화에 기여하고 기본춤의 실체를 다져가는 다양한 논의의 토대가 되길 기대한다. 나아가 춤의 본(本)으로써 기본춤의 가치를 재조명하는 계기가 되어 무용 교육 현장과 무용학 발전에 이바지하길 바란다.

일반적으로 기본춤은 한 무용가의 예술특성을 집약적으로 보여준다. 자신의 예술세계를 구현한 무용가들이 춤의 입문을 위해 기본춤을 정립하게 된다. <태극구조 기본춤>은 바로 임학선의 예술창작을 이해할 수 있고 그녀의 춤을 올바르게 연행하는 춤 텍스트이다. 본 연구는 호흡표기를 기록도구로 활용하여 <태극구조 기본춤>의 무절에 따른 리듬호흡을 분석하고 그 양상을 제시하고자 한다. 구체적인 연구대상은 <태극구조 기본춤> 중 2단계 ‘끌어올리고 내리기’를 선정하였다. <태극구조 기본춤>의 제2단계의 호흡 양상에서는 맺음기법이 주로 들숨의 첫 부분과 들숨의 마지막 부분에서 발생함으로 인해 동작의 질을 명료하게 하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이는 들숨에서 멈춤으로 가는 시작에서 근육의 긴장을 함께 발동하여 맺음의 기법을 만들어 동작의 형태를 명확하게 보여주고, 날숨에서 근육의 이완을 증대함으로써 동작의 반동을 유발하여 연동되듯 이어지는 운동성을 살리는 것으로 이해할 수 있다. 즉 단순반복의 호흡양상을 통한 엑스터시, 연동적 호흡주기를 통한 역동성, 선명한 맺음기법이 드러난 리듬호흡양상을 통한 자태의 명확성은 임학선의 춤 기법 특성을 잘 담아내고 있다. 이번 연구가 교육적 담론을 구축하는데 도움이 되길 기대한다. In general, the basic dance intensively shows the artistic characteristics of a dancer. Dancers who have embodied their art world will establish a basic dance for the introductory dance. < Basic Dance of Taegeuk Structure > is a dance text that can understand Lim Hak-sun's artistic creation and performs her dance correctly. This study intends to analyze the rhythmic breathing according to the martial arts of < Basic Dance of Taegeuk Structure > by using the breathing indicator as a recording tool and to present its pattern. The specific research subject was selected as 'Pull up and down' of the 2nd stage of < Basic Dance of Taegeuk Structure >. In the second phase of < Basic Dance of Taegeuk Structure >, it can be seen that the concluding technique mainly occurs in the first part and the last part of the inhalation, thus making the quality of movement clear. This is to show the form of movement by making the technique of consolidation by initiating muscle tension at the start from inhalation to stop, and by increasing the relaxation of muscles from exhalation, it causes rebound of movement and preserves the mobility that is linked to the movement. I can understand. In other words, ecstasy through a simple repetitive breathing pattern, dynamics through a peristaltic breathing cycle, and clarity of appearance through a rhythmic breathing pattern that reveals a clear conjugation technique are well characterized by Lim Hak-sun's dance technique. We hope this study will help build an educational discourse.

호흡생리학적 분석을 통한 한국무용 호흡표기법의 타당성에 관한 연구

본 연구는 한국춤의 논리적 이해를 돕는 춤이론과 훈련법에 대한 방법론적 연구를 위한 것으로, 대상자는 본 연구의 대상 춤인 태극구조 기본춤의 고안자로부터 직접 사사(師事)를 받은 무용수로서 태극구조 기본춤의 호흡을 가장 잘 이해하고 수행할 수 있는 무용수를 대상으로 하였으며, 호흡분석에 따른 호흡표기의 타당성을 검정하기 위하여 호흡패턴을 측정할 수 있는 써미스트(Thermister)가 장착된 마스크와 휴대용 가스분석기(Meta max3B, 독일)를 등에 착용하고 태극구조 기본춤의 12단계 중 2단계에 해당하는 무용동작들을 3회반복하게 하여 이때의 호흡을 측정하여 호흡패턴을 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 일치백분율은 평균값이 84.5%, 최소값은 75.6% 최대값은 95.1%로 나타났으며, Kappa치는 평균값이 .798, 최소값이 .687 최대값이 .933으로 나타나 전체적으로 매우 높은 일치도를 나타내었다. 또한 호흡유형을 들숨, 날숨, 멈춤으로 분류한 세 유형 중에서는, 날숨의 유형에서 그 일치율이 91.7%로 가장 높게 나타났으며 들숨의 유형이 83.3%, 멈춤이 71.4%의 평균값을 보여 전체적으로 매우 높은 일치도를 보였다. 이러한 결과는 한국춤의 전반적인 호흡구조를 이해할 수 있도록 해주는 호흡표기의 활용이 매우 타당성 있는 방법임을 시사해 주는 결과라 하겠다. The present study is a methodological study on a dancing theory and a training method assisting logical understanding of Korean dance. The selected subject was a dancer who directly studied under the originator of the Taegeuk-form ground dance, the object dance of the present study, capable of understanding breathing for the Taegeuk-form ground dance and performing accordingly. The breathing pattern was analyzed by asking the subject to perform dance moves three times pertaining to the second level out of twelve levels of the Taegeuk-form ground dance. The breathing pattern was analyzed from a dancer wearing a mask with thermister and portable gas analyzer (Meta max3B, Germany) to validate the dance notation based on the breathing analysis. According to the present study, coincidence percentages showed the mean value of 84.5%, the minimum value of 75.6%, and the maximum value of 95.1%, while Kappa values show the mean value of .798, the minimum value of .687, and the maximum value of .933, thus proving a very high coincidence level in overall. As for three breathing types classified as inhaling, exhaling, and pausing, exhaling showed the highest coincidence rate of 91.7%, followed by 83.3% for inhaling, and the mean value of 71.4% for pausing, thus proving a very high coincidence level in overall. The outcome clearly implied that utilization of breathing notation helping understand the overall breathing structure for Korean dance could be a very valid way.
