4차 산업 혁명 시대 인쇄 산업 육성을 위한 교육과정 개편 필요성

한국은 인쇄문화의 종주국이다. 유네스코 기록유산인 현존하는 세계 최고의 금속활자 본인 ‘직지심체요절’과 ‘고려대장경판’(팔만대장경) 등으로 대표되는 오래된 인쇄문화를 가지고 있기 때문이다. 역사가 증명하듯이 인쇄 산업은 보통의 일반적인 개별 산업과 달리 한 나라의 정치와 경제, 사회, 문화 등 전체적인 분야에 걸쳐 광범위하게 영향을 미쳤다. 이러한 가치는 오늘날에 이르러서도 마찬가지다. 새로운 산업 생태계를 만드는 데 인쇄 산업은 큰 역할을 할 수 있으며, 시대의 변화에 따라 4세대인 디지털인쇄 시대 를 넘어 5세대인 인쇄전자 분야로 응용 분야가 확대되어지고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 신문, 잡지, 서적 등의 출판물을 제작하는 것이 인쇄라는 편견 때문에 인쇄 산업의 무 궁무진한 가치가 제대로 알려지지 못하고, 인쇄 기술 발전에 발목이 잡혀 있는 것이 현 실이다. 본 연구의 주요 목적은 시대의 변화와 발전 과정 속에서 기존 인쇄 산업의 변화를 살펴본 후, 4차 산업 혁명 시대라는 새로운 패러다임에 인쇄 기술이 영향을 미치는 분 야와 응용 가능 분야를 알아보고 인쇄 기술의 잠재적인 고부가가치를 발굴하여 인쇄전 자 분야의 주요 산업으로 이어질 수 있도록 육성하기 위한 인식 전환의 필요성과 중요 성을 제안하고자 하였다. Korea is called the cradle of printing culture. This is because it has a long-lasting printing culture represented by the world’s best metal movable type, ‘Baegun Hwasang Chorok Buljo Jisimche Yojeol’(Jikjisimcheyojeol) and ‘The Tripitaka Koreana’(The Tripitaka Koreana). As history proves, the printing industry, unlike any other individual industry, has had a wide impact on the politics, economy, society, and culture of a country as a whole. These values are still the same today. The printing industry can play a big role in creating a new industrial ecosystem, and the field of application is expanding beyond the 4th generation digital printing era to the 5th generation printed electronics field. Nevertheless, the inexhaustible value of the printing industry is not known properly because of the prejudice that printing is the production of publications such as newspapers, magazines, and books, and the reality is that the development of printing technology is hindered. The main purpose of this study is to examine the changes of the existing printing industry in the process of change and development of the times, to examine the fields and applicable fields that print technology affects the new paradigm of the 4th Industrial Revolution era, and to suggest the necessity and importance of the recognition transition to foster the potential high value-added of printing technology to lead to major industries in the printing and electronics sector.

디지털 헬스케어 제품 활성화를 위한 인쇄전자 기술의 탐색 : 가상현실(VR)기기를 중심으로

전 세계적으로 유행한 코로나 바이러스로 인해 포스트 코로나 시대에는 비대면에 관 한 부분이 빠르게 발전될 것으로 보여지며 실버산업의 헬스케어 분야에는 디지털 기술 의 적용이 매우 중요한 요소가 될 것이다. 이러한 흐름에 맞게 한국 실버산업에 디지털 헬스케어 IT 제품군, 특히 가상현실(VR) 기술이 도입되었을 때 실버산업 종사자와 실 버산업 소비자가 가지는 인식에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 또한 디지털 헬스케어의 혁신 을 통해 한계비용을 낮추고 기술과 서비스의 품질을 높여서 경제성을 확보할 수 있는 인쇄전자의 기술이 적용 되었을 때 치료 효과를 예측하고자 하였다. 이를 분석하기 위해 세 가지의 연구 문제를 설정하였다. 첫째, 가상현실(VR) 기술을 활용한 디지털 헬스케어에 대해서 어떻게 생각하는가? 둘째, 가상현실(VR) 기술을 활 용한 디지털 헬스케어에 대해서 국내 실버산업 종사자의 수용 태도는 어떠한가? 셋째, 가상현실(VR) 기술에 인쇄전자를 적용한 디지털 헬스케어 활동이 실버산업 종사자와 실버산업 소비자에게 어떤 영향을 미칠 수 있는가? 이에 답하기 위해 실버산업 종사자 와 실버산업 소비자를 대상으로 심층 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 분석 결과, 가상현실(VR) 기술을 도입한 디지털 헬스케어에 대한 의견은 긍정적인 결과로 나타났다. 하지만 디지털 헬스케어의 비용에 대한 인식은 아직 한국의 실버산업 에 있어서 디지털 헬스케어가 자리 잡는 데는 상당한 시간이 걸릴 것으로 보여진다. 따 라서 디지털 헬스케어의 성공적인 안착을 위해서는 인쇄전자를 통해 경제성을 확보하 는 것이 무엇보다 필요하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 앞으로 디지털 기술의 발전과 시장수요의 변화에 맞춰 헬스케어의 효율성을 높이고 새로운 부가가치를 창출하기 위 한 인쇄 전자와의 융합이 필요할 것으로 생각된다. Due to the COVID-19, which has been prevalent around the world, non-face-to-face areas are expected to develop rapidly in the post-COVID-19 era, and the application of digital technology will be a very important factor in the healthcare field of the silver industry. In line with this trend, we tried to find out the perception of digital healthcare IT products, especially virtual reality(VR) technology, of the silver industry workers and consumers in the silver industry. In addition, it was intended to predict the therapeutic effect when printing electronics' technology, which can secure economic feasibility by lowering marginal costs and improving the quality of technologies and services through digital healthcare innovation, was applied. Three research questions were set up to analyze this. First, what do you think of digital healthcare using virtual reality(VR) technology? Second, what is the acceptance attitude of domestic silver industry workers to digital healthcare using virtual reality(VR) technology? Third, how can digital healthcare activities applying printing electronics to virtual reality(VR) technology affect workers in the silver industry and consumers in the silver industry? In order to answer this, in-depth interviews were conducted with workers in the silver industry and consumers in the silver industry. As a result of the analysis, opinions on digital healthcare that introduced virtual reality(VR) technology showed positive results. However, recognition of the cost of digital healthcare is still expected to take a considerable amount of time for digital healthcare to take root in Korea's silver industry. Therefore, it was found that securing economic feasibility through printing electronics is more important than anything else for the successful settlement of digital healthcare. In addition, it is believed that convergence with printing electronics will be needed to increase healthcare efficiency and create new added value in line with the development of digital technology and changes in market demand in the future.

융복합 문화로서 재조대장경과 판각지 남해의 문화콘텐츠 개발

재조대장경의 조성과 관련하여 아직까지도 연구자들 사이에 논의가 진행 중이다. 그럼에도 남해에서 판각되었다는 사실에는 의견이 모아지고 있다. 대장경은 문화적으로는 유형문화와 무형문화가 결합하고 있으며, 내용적으로는 의천의 『신편제종교장총록』, 송·거란·일본 등에서 한역대장경 장소 수집과 교감을 통한 완성도 높은 교정이 이루어졌다. 재조대장경은 당대 인쇄문화와 기술의 융합, 지역간의 연계, 국가와 민간, 출가와 재가 등 회통과 융복합 문화의 정점에 있었다. 13세기 동아시아 문화를 아우르는 글로컬라이제이션의 전범이었다. 또한 현대 일본의 『대정신수대장경』과 대만의 『불광대장경』 등의 저본으로 삼을 만큼 문화를 주도해 왔다. 21세기 문화로서 대장경은 문화재 가치의 보존과 활용을 통해 재탄생되어야 한다. 이런 측면에서는 본고에서는 대장경의 본래적 가치와 종합적 외현인 문화콘텐츠로서 불교문화테마파크와 대장경축전문화콘텐츠, 문화콘텐츠산업으로서 인쇄문화콘텐츠산업의 방향을 제시하였다. 불교테마파크로는 불교랜드, 불교문화 라키비움과 마음산업을 선도할 수행센터인 참선센터 등 건립을, 대장경축전문화콘텐츠로서는 격년으로 개최되는 대장경천년세계문화축전과 연계한 대규모의 축전과 소규모 지역공동체 축전을 제시하였다. 특히 창조적 파괴를 통한 활용인 인쇄문화콘텐츠산업으로는 4차 산업혁명에 중추적 역할을 담당할 인쇄전자산업(Printed Electronics Industry)의 도입과 활용을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 서부경남의 지역 클러스트 형성과 학교와의 연계, 대장경인쇄문화연구소(가) 설립 등을 제시하였다. This paper examines the Jaejo-tripitaka, which was manufactured during the Goryeo Dynasty as a cultural asset of convergence. It also examines the development of cultural content printing as it was pursued in Namhae, where the tripitaka was carved into woodblocks. The Jaejo-tripitaka was fine-tuned and became more sophisticated by collecting and collating research and commentaries from Uicheon’s Sinpyeon-jejong-gyojang-chongrok, as well as from Chinese tripitakas from Song, the Khitan, and Japan. Furthermore, the Jaejotripitaka showcased the culmination of intercommunication and culture of convergence, which was characterized by the integration of the printing culture and technology of the time, as well as interregional coordination, the link between the state and its people, and the relationship between the faithful and secular. The Jaejo-tripitaka led cultural promotion not only as a classic of the globalizing East Asian culture of the 13th century, but also as an original script for modern Japan’s Daejeongshinsudaejanggyung and Taiwan’s Bulkwang-tripitaka. To lead the culture of the 21st century, tripitakas should be embraced in efforts to preserve and utilize cultural values and to promote disruptive creation. Buddhist Theme Parks and tripitaka cultural festivals could serve as places to commemorate and display the intrinsic values of the tripitaka. Furthermore, a new direction for the cultural content printing industry is offered to enable tripitakas to be used to facilitate disruptive creation. Specifically, a Buddhist Theme Park could take the form of a Buddhist Land, Buddhist Larchiveum, or Seon Meditation Center for the mind industry. As for cultural festivals, large-scale festivals linked to the biennial Millennial Anniversary of the Tripitaka Koreana, as well as small-sized community-level festivals, could be considered. Finally, for the cultural content printing industry, the electronic printing industry could be introduced and adopted as it will play a key role in the fourth industrial revolution. In this regard, the establishment of regional clusters in west Gyeongnam, cooperation with schools, and a tripitaka cultural research and printing institute (provisional) are proposed.

The Effect of Alliance Activity on Patent Litigation

특허 소송은 혁신 혹은 지적 재산권의 보호 수단으로서 알려져 있다. 그러나 특허 시장이 증대됨에 따라 경쟁사의 진입을 방해하기 위한 전략적 수단으로 특허 소송의 활용 범위가 증대되었다. 특허 소송에 연루될 가능성은 기업이 가지고 있는 특허의 양질이 증대할수록 높아진다고 밝혀져 왔다. 그러므로 혁신을 추구하는 기업의 입장에서는 특허 소송에 연루될 가능성을 최대한 낮출 수 있는 방안이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구는 인쇄 전자 산업 내 기업의 과거 제휴 활동이 특허품질과 특허 소송의 관계에 미칠 수 있는 영향력에 대해 분석하였다. 특허 품질과 특허 소송의 관계에 대한 기존 연구결과를 재 입증함과 더불어 피고인 관점의 특허 소송에 대한 연구를 진행하여 기업의 제휴 활동이 특허 소송을 낮춘다는 결과를 도출하였다. 예컨대, 평균치의 특허를 지닌 기업에 대해 과거 제휴 활동의 유무가 연간 특허 소송률을 약 33% 낮추는 것을 실증적으로 입증하였다. 본 연구가 특허 소송과 전략적 제휴에 관한 기존 문헌에 기여하는 바는 다음과 같다. 기업의 과거 전략적 제휴가 평판으로서의 역할을 하여 특허 소송을 감소시킴을 확인함으로써 기존 전략적 제휴 관련 문헌에 기여한다. 또한, 특허 품질이 특허 소송에 미치는 영향력에 대한 새로운 조절 변수를 밝혀냄으로써 기존 특허 소송 관련 문헌에 기여한다. 더불어, 본 연구는 특허 소송을 피고인 관점에서 분석한 최초의 연구라는 점에서 매우 의미가 있다. Patent litigation has been considered as a tool to protect and facilitate innovation. Ironically, yet, the misguided uses of patent litigation as a strategic tool for vigilance against competitors are acting as a hindrance for innovation. Previous studies show that the better the quality of a patent, the higher the chance of the patent being litigated. Therefore, it is particularly important for the innovating firms to take strategic precautions to minimize the risk of patent litigation. This study investigates the moderating role of firms’ past alliance experiences on the relationship between patent quality and patent litigation from the perspective of a defendant. A unique dataset on patents, infringement lawsuits, and firm performances in the printed electronics industry confirms that firms’ previous alliance experiences mitigate the impact of patent quality on infringement litigation. For instance, the results confirm that the presence of past alliance experience reduces the litigation rate by 33% for firms with median-quality patents. This paper makes two major contributions. First, it contributes to the literature on alliance experience by confirming its role as a reputation in mitigating future litigations. Second, this paper contributes to the literature on patent litigation by identifying a unique moderator, i.e., alliance experience, on the linkage between patent quality and litigation. An innovating firm is likely to become an alleged infringer under a false accusation. Therefore, this paper focuses on firms that partake in infringement lawsuits unwillingly. Despite the importance, to the best of our knowledge, this is the first study to investigate patent litigations from the perspective of defendants.
