한국인 3차원 인체형상모델을 이용한 고리뼈의 성별판별 검증

사망 당시의 정보를 알고 있는 마른뼈들을 통계학적으로 분석한 연구가 있다면 마른뼈를 법의인류학적으로 분석하여 개인식별항목(biological profile)을 추정하는 것이 가능하다. 한국인의 경우 개인식별항목을 추정하는 데 필요한 뼈표본이 거의 없기 때문에 개인식별항목을 추정하기 위한 통계학적 자료가 부족하다. 그러므로 뼈대에 붙어 있는 물렁조직을 모두 제거하여 뼈표본을 제작하는 방법의 대안으로 방사선으로 촬영된 진단영상을 활용하여 뼈대를 3차원으로 재구성하는 연구가 제안되고 있다. 이 연구는 해부용 시신을 컴퓨터단층촬영(computed tomography)하여 구축한 3차원 인체형상모델에서 뼈대 정보를 재구성하여 계측하였고, 통계학적 분석을 통해 성별을 추정하는 데 도움이 되는지를 조사하였다. 가톨릭대학교 가톨릭응용해부연구소에서 관리하고 있는 디지털 코리언(Digital Korean) 데이터베이스에서 고리뼈 (atlas) 100개 (남성 51개, 여성 49개)를 계측하였다. 3차원 컴퓨터 프로그램인 미믹스 (Mimics, Simulation module, Version 13.0, Materialise NV, Belgium)를 이용하여 계측항목들을 계측하였고, IBM® SPSS® (version 20.0, Armonk, New York)를 이용하여 통계학적 분석을 하였다. 계측 결과를 실제 마른뼈의 연구에서 얻은 판별함수를 적용하였을 때 정확도가 떨어졌기 때문에 새롭게 판별함수를 구하였고, 19개 계측항목들 중에서 고리뼈너비(Width of Atlas)가 성별을 추정하는 데 가장 유용한 계측 항목이었다. 본 연구 결과 고리뼈너비가 76.7mm보다 큰 값일 경우 남성으로 판별할 수 있었다. 뼈표본이 부족한 현실에서 한국인 뼈대의 체질인류학적 특징을 연구하는 것은 한계가 있다. 그러므로 방사선 진단영상에서 3차원으로 재구성한 뼈대를 활용하여 형태학적 특징을 규명하려고 시도된 이번 연구의 결과는 디지털 코리언 데이터베이스를 활용하여 체질인류학적 연구를 할 수 있는 가능성을 보여주었다고 생각되고 현장에서도 계측값을 통해 성별을 추정하는 데 도움이 될 것으로 판단된다. Estimation of biological profile for skeletal remains by forensic anthropological examination would be possible based on physical anthropological studies which were statistically analyzed. However, physical anthropological studies for Korean population are not enough to establish biological profile for Korean because there is lack of documented osteological specimens in Korea. Recent study suggested that physical anthropological examination could be possible on the three dimensional data which were reconstructed from computed tomography, instead of preparing skeletal specimen by defleshing bone. One of the aim of this study is to evaluate Digital Korean database which were composed of computed tomographic images of 100 cadavers. The other is to perform statistical analysis on morphometrics for segmented atlas whether the results could be helpful to estimate sex in Korean. We measured 100 segmentation atlases (male 51, female 49) from the Digital Korean database which were under the control of Catholic Institute for Applied Anatomy, The Catholic University of Korea. Measurements of segmented atlas were carried out by using Mimics software (Simulation module, Version 13.0, Materialise NV, Belgium), and values of measurement were performed statistical analysis by IBM® SPSS® (version 20.0, Armonk, New York). Among 19 measurements, the width of atlas showed most crucial element for estimating sex, which was consistent with the result using dried bones of atlas and hit ratio of discriminant functions was 88.0%. 76.7 was the cut-off score of discriminant functions. This results showed that morphometrics for segmented atlas could be helpful in estimating sex using the Digital Korean database. In the future, we expect that the other researchers could more actively use the Digital Korean database as a good specimen for physical and forensic anthropological study.
デジタルストーリーテリングを用いた日本語教育 - 韓国人日本語学習者を対象に -

In this article, we examine whether the adoption of the so-called “digital storytelling” may have positive effects on the teaching of Japanese language. Our findings are summarised as follows: Firstly, the learners were able to remember information for a long time after they learned. Secondly, the recording enabled the learners to practice what they learned repeatedly. Thirdly, the leaners were able to develop their abilities of critical thinking through the topics of learning. Finally, the classroom activities based on the digital storytelling points towards specific directions for the learning of Japanese language in the future. 本稿は、デジタルストーリーテリングが日本語教育にどのような効果があるのかを調査研究した。その結果、以下のことがわかった。 一つ目は、今後記憶に残るものであるということである。スピーチと違い、今後も記憶に残ることによって日本語学習に役立つと考える。二つ目は、何度も録音でき、反復練習の効果があることである。自分のナレーションを何度も練習し、繰り返し聞き、自分のイントネーションも把握しながら録音できるという点で、自分のイントネーションと向き合える時間を作ることができた。三つ目は、主題を通して、自分自身の思考能力を育てることができることである。特に自分の将来をどうしたいのかについて向き合う時間になったことがこの活動の最大の効果ではないかと考える。四つ目は、デジタルストーリーテリングの活動が今後の日本語学習の具体的な方向性を決めるきっかけになったということである。その中で「日本語でもっと話したくなった」という意見が最も多かった。

This paper examines the self-identification of Korean adoptees and the emergence of Korean adoptee communities on digital spaces. Digital sources produced by Korean adoptees and their organizations allow us to understand how they make sense of themselves as part of the Korean diaspora and a larger Asian American community. This paper refers to the recent works that relates Korean adoptees’ online activities and discourses to the emergence of the collective identify formation of Korean adoptees. It also analyzes the ways in which individual Korean adoptees express their ethnic and national belongings on their blogs. This paper reckons with the difficulties of doing a digital history with born-digital sources, which might disappear without notice, as well as with the possibility of doing a historical research in a new way.
디지털 흉부 후·전 방향 방사선영상을 이용한 정상 한국인 폐 크기의 영상의학적 계측

The purpose of this study is to provide baseline data on lung field size measured radiological method by chest PA image in normal Korean. The subject of this study is 496 normal persons who performed chest PA examination using x-ray digital radiography system. The measurement method is from the apex of right and left lung to the costophrenic angle of both lung, from the top of the image to the lowest costophrenic angle of both lung and transverse line of the largest lung area. As a result of this study, the following conclusions were obtained. A lung field size of male is larger than the female(p<0.05). The younger the age, the longer both lung length and total lung height statistically significant. As a increase height and length, A lung field size was increased(p<0.05). But, BMI is not associated with a lung field size. This study will be data of reference data when radiological technologists perform chest PA examination.

From the early Korean church to the present, Korean mission has had many missionaries in domestic and overseas mission sites. However, missionary records are scattered geographically, both in Korea and abroad. The systematic preservation and management of them has not received much attention. Therefore, this article intends to provide basic record and to justify for the efficient collection, utilization of missionary records, and the building of digital archives. Korean Christian missionary records are important as a historical material that can be reexamined in the political, economic and social aspects of Korean history beyond their meaning as religious records. Also, the historical of Korean missionary work should be illuminated and evaluated. It is valuable to find these precious heritages and systematically preserve and protect them, and to pass them on to the present generation as well as the descendants. Foreign missionaries their records who have worked in Korea are scattered in domestic and foreign research institutes, university libraries, and museums. However, there are no common standardized systems for collecting and preserving these records. The expected effects of the listing service of mission historical data are as follows: First, the standard for the efficient integrated management and the status of preservation and management of Korean Christian missionary records should be prepared. Second, this can raise interest in Christianity based on digital archiving of Christian mission historical data and free search through the Internet and contribute to the activation and popularization of related studies. Third, it will reduce the time and economic cost of redundant efforts such as data retrieval and utilization through the establishment of a record database. Lastly, building an archive of mission records will provide an effective direction of strategic mission.
A.I. Chatbot과의 실시간 문자기반 대화를 통한 영어학습: 한국인 영어학습자 사례연구

A.I. is expected to come into wide use in second language acquisition under the hope that it can substitute for a native speaking interlocutor while providing the learner with speaking and writing practices. Learners can communicate with an A.I. chatbot by providing it with the target language as input and then scrutinizing the spoken and written output in the same language. The aim of the current research is to glean suggestions for language learning by analyzing excerpts of text chats between an advanced Korean learner of English and an A.I. chatbot over four months. The specific elements analyzed are grammaticality for accuracy, sentence length for complexity, and the lexical diversity of the learner’s written language. The analysis of the learner’s synchronous written text while chatting with an A.I. chatbot indicates that the learner’s English shows no significant changes in terms of complexity (sentence length), accuracy (number of errors), or lexical diversity over time. It is therefore important to search for ways that A.I. can be used efficiently with the intention of understanding its growing potentials in second language acquisition and foreign language learning.
3D 가상착의 시스템 활용 신축성 원단 물성 및 상반신 자세 요인에 따른 남성 보디수트 상의 의복압 분석

This study examined variations in pressure on the male upper body while wearing a bodysuit top made from different stretch fabrics, using a 3D virtual clothing system. The analysis focused on measuring clothing pressure at specific body points across three postures: shoulder at 0° and elbow at 0° (Pose 1), shoulder at 45° and elbow at 0° (Pose 2), and shoulder at 45° and elbow at 90° (Pose 3). The digital fabric properties were characterized by parameters such as stretch stiffness (warp/weft), shear stiffness, bending stiffness, thickness, and weight. Fifteen measurement points were identified based on the chest, waist, upper arm, elbow, and wrist circumferences. The results indicated that stretch stiffness (weft) was positively correlated with clothing pressure, whereas bending stiffness (weft) showed a negative correlation. Shear stiffness and bending stiffness (bias) showed complementary relationships, while stretch stiffness (warp) and bending stiffness (warp) did not exhibit significant correlations with pressure, except at the lateral waist. The analysis also revealed statistically significant differences in pressure across the different postures. In Pose 1, lateral chest pressure was the highest but decreased by 85% in Pose 2 and Pose 3. Posterior chest pressure increased by approximately 10% in Pose 3 due to elbow flexion, while waist pressure decreased by 10-20% in both Pose 2 and Pose 3. Additionally, pressure at the elbow circumference was highest in Pose 3, highlighting the significant impact of elbow flexion on pressure. Wrist pressure also increased by 4-16% in both alternative postures compared to Pose 1.
