해외 교수자 수요 분석에 따른 한국학 학술 확산 방안 연구 - 고려대 한국언어문화학술확산연구소 사례를 중심으로 -

This study was conducted to understand the demand for Korean studiesamong professors and researchers in overseas universities offering Koreanstudies with the aim of providing foundational data for the internationalacademic dissemination of Korean studies. A survey targeting professors inKorean studies in 22 overseas universities was conducted to investigate thecurrent status of local Korean studies programs and the demand foradditional courses. In particular, this study aimed to explore the potential forpromoting Korean studies through online platform education in the endemicera by identifying the demand for offline and online courses. Resultsshowed an increased demand for advanced-level Korean studies, in-depthand specialized courses, and translation and localization of textbooks. Based on the key demands identified in the survey, this study designedand operated 10 online open courses to verify their effectiveness andreceived feedback and evaluations of course operations from the target audience. Effective measures were derived to address the drawbacks ofexisting online courses, such as local collaboration to supplement thelimitations of MOOCs and enhance background knowledge of Koreanculture and history. The results of this study serve as indicators forestablishing specific directions for the activation and dissemination ofoverseas Korean studies, including customized exchange methods centeredon online courses. 본 연구는 한국학 과정을 운영하고 있는 해외대학 교수자 및 연구자를 대상으로 해외 한국학 수요를 파악하여 한국학의 국제적 학술확산을 위한 토대자료로 삼기 위해 수행되었다. 이를 위해 해외 22개 거점대학의 한국학 교수자 대상 설문조사를 통해 현지 한국학 과정 운영 현황 및 추가 개설 희망 수요를 조사하였다. 특히 오프라인 강좌 수요와 온라인 강좌 수요를 변별하여 의견을 청취함으로써 엔데믹 시대 온라인 플랫폼 교육을 통한 한국학 활성화 가능성을 타진하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 이 조사를 통해 한국학 전공 수준 심화 강좌에 대한 수요 증가, 심층적이고 세분화된 강좌 수요 증가, 번역 및 현지화 교재에 대한 수요증가 등 실질적이고 유의미한 결과를 도출할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 조사에서 도출된 핵심 요구를 반영한 10개 온라인 공개강좌를 설계하고 운영하여 실효성을 검증하고자 하였으며, 수요자 집단에게 강좌 운영 실증 사례에 대한 의견과 평가를 받았다. MOOC 방식의 한계를 보완할 수 있는 현지 협력, 한국의 문화 및 역사에 대한 배경지식 설명 강화 등 기존 온라인 강좌의 문제점을 보완할 실효성 있는 방안이 이를 통해 도출되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 온라인 강좌를 중심으로 한 현지 맞춤형 교류 방안을 비롯해 해외 한국학 활성화 및 확산을 위한 구체적 방향성을 수립하는 데에 지표로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

AKS 문화강좌 한국어 수업 개선 방안

본 연구는 한국학중앙연구원에서 매년 1회 실시하는 한국문화강좌 중 한국어강좌의 효과적인 수업 방안 제안을 목적으로 한다. 한국문화강좌는 한국학을 전공하는 외국인 대학생들에게 한국의 언어와 문화 체험 기회를 제공함으로써 한국에 대한 전반적인 이해도를 증진시켜 미래의 한국(어)학 연구자를 육성하고자 하는 프로그램이다. 본 연구에서는 2015년부터 2018년까지 중급 수업에 참여한 학생들에게 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과 (동)유럽 학생들은 한국의 전통 문화, 고전 문학과 더불어 한국학에 대한 관심과 사전 지식이 있는 반면 동남아시아, 서아시아 학생들은 실용적인 목적의 언어를 중심으로 학습하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 4주간의 한국문화강좌의 효과를 얻기 위해서는 한국학 주제 특강과 관련한 어휘와 문법을 중심으로 하는 한국어 수업 설계가 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 한국(어)학을 전공하는 외국인 학습자들의 국내 단기 프로그램의 한국어 수업 설계에 활용할 수 있다. The research is aimed at suggesting effective ways to improve the Korean language course during the Korean Culture Course, which is held annually by the AKS. The Korean Culture Course is the goal of nurturing an overall understanding of Korea with the opportunity to directly learn and experience Korean language and culture, and thus study Korean in the future. In this study, a survey and interviews were conducted on students who took intermediate classes from 2015 to 2018 and as a result, it was necessary to design a class based on grammar and vocabulary related to Korean culture course. This study can be used to design Korean language classes for foreign learners majoring in Korean language studies.

이탈리아 韓國語 敎育의 現況과 課題 -베네치아대학을 中心으로-

My research discusses a course of Korean Studies at a University in Italy, with special attention to the analysis of the current situation, issues and their resolution plan regarding the Korean language education. Although, the University of Venice is at the centre of attention, the focus is extended towards the general particularities of the Italian-Korean language education and if of concern the situation of the University of Rome and Naples shall be further explained. This, as the basic aspect, I would like to present an analysis of the Italian-Korean language education and I would like to search for a future direction to head for. Further, if I seem it to be necessary, I refer to the situation of a course of Korean studies in Italy, which by confronting with the Chinese and the Japanese departments, I tried to find a direction for the Korean department for future. Giving regard to the recent major interest towards Korean culture and language at the University of Venice, I see great a potential for development in the future. But the installation of a course of Korean studies is facing three major problems, that have to be resolved, the diversity, the number of specialized personal and the concern/support of the university itself, considered as insufficient. These problems can not be seen as separated but are rigidly inter- connected with each other, as such, a development of a Korean Studies department can not be accomplished with one of these points insufficient Only in the recent situation of the University of Venice, the introduction of Korean Studies as a regular major has great necessity, I put emphasis on the cruciality of receiving positive interest and resources from the University authorities. Actually the University of Venice, while establishing a Korean major, has many problems with the cost estimation and the personal itself . Therefore constructive interest and resources are needed from Korea to overcome such difficulties. By doing, so Korean studies would become a part of the axis alongside with Chinese and Japanese studies in the Eastasian Studies department, the growth possibilities of Korean Studies in the University of Venice can be seen as augmented. 본 硏究는 이탈리아 大學에서 운영하는 韓國學 講座, 특히 韓國語 敎育을 中心으로 그 現況과 問題點을 分析하고 그 改善策에 대해서 論議한 것이다. 이탈리아 대학에서 한국학 강좌가 이루어지고 있는 곳으로는 公式的으로 로마대학, 나폴리대학, 밀라노대학, 베네치아대학을 들 수 있는 데, 이 네 대학 중에서 밀라노대학을 제외한 세 대학에서 한국어 교육이 이루어지고 있다. 筆者가 몸담고 있는 베네치아대학을 중심으로 하되 이탈리아 한국어 교육의 一般的인 特性에 符合할 만한 내용에 焦點을 맞추고, 必要에 따라서는 로마대학, 나폴리대학의 狀況을 소개하였다. 이를 土臺로 이탈리아 한국어 교육의 特性을 分析하고 指向해야 할 방향을 摸索하고자 하였다. 베네치아대학의 한국어 교육이 좀 더 成長하고, 이것이 한국학 발전으로 擴大되기 위해서는 時急히 한국학이 專攻으로 운영되어야 할 根據와 必要性을 提起하였다.

미국 주요 대학의 한국 경제 관련 강좌 연구

이 연구는 오늘날 해외 한국학이 비약적으로 발전할 수 있었던 요인 중 하나로 한국의 경제성장을 주목하며, 미국 주요 대학의 한국 경제 관련 강좌의 특징을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 첫째 ‘한국 경제’에만 초점을 둔 강좌는 찾기 어려웠으나, 한국의 역사, 문화, 사회를 이해하기 위한 한국학 강좌에서 한국의 경제는 한국을 읽어내는 주요 배경 또는 한국 사회에 영향을 미친 핵심적인 요인으로 나타났다. 둘째, 한국 경제 관련 강좌는 ‘한국 경제’라는 특정 주제에 주목하기보다, 아시아 국가 간 관계, 그리고 아시아 지역 국가들의 경제, 산업, 금융, 무역이 어떻게 연결되며 그 특징이 무엇인지 집중하고 있으며, 경제‧경영 이론을 설명할 때 하나의 사례로 제시되는 특징이 있다. This study analyses the characteristics of courses related to the Korean economy at major U.S. universities, focusing on Korea's economic growth as one of the factors that have led to the rapid development of Korean studies abroad today. The results showed that, first, it is difficult to find a course that focuses solely on the Korean economy, but in Korean studies courses aimed at understanding Korean history, culture, and society, the Korean economy is a key context for reading Korea or a key factor that has influenced Korean society. Second, rather than focusing on the specific topic of the Korean economy, courses related to the Korean economy focus on the relationship between Asian countries and how their economies, industries, finance, and trade are connected and characterised, and are presented as examples to explain economic and management theories.

This study analyzes courses on the Korean economy in British and German universities, noting the high popularity of Korean studies in Europe today. As a result, first, Korea is presented as one of the major developing countries and its economy is described in terms of the post-developmental state it has overcome. Second, the political, social, and cultural impacts and side effects of Korean economics courses in British and German universities are described. Third, the Korean economy is analyzed in relation to Asian countries from a regional studies perspective or as a comparison to other countries and other topics in interdisciplinary studies.

매체 효능감과 실재감이 실시간 온라인 한국학 강좌 수강 만족도에 미치는 영향

The demand for Korean studies courses encompassing politics, business, society, culture, and literature is increasing steadily. However, there are difficulties in offering these courses due to an insufficient supply of subject-matter experts. A real-time online course can be a solution to this issue, but its effectiveness must be verified in advance. This study investigates how the two factors that have a proven impact on online courses—media efficacy and the feeling of presence—affect the satisfaction level of students. Two research agendas were put forward. First, does the media efficacy felt by students correlate to their level of satisfaction with Korean studies in online courses? Second, does the feeling of presence felt by students (the presence of teachers, social presence, and perceptional presence) correlate to their level of satisfaction with Korean studies in online courses? To examine these factors, I conducted a survey with 56 students who are participating in an e-school program; the survey results were statistically verified through Pearson correlation and linear regression analyses. The results showed that both media efficacy and the feeling of presence had a significant effect on the satisfaction level of the students in the course. Among the feelings of presence, perceptional presence had the most significant effect on students’ satisfaction levels. As both media efficacy and the feeling of presence affect satisfaction levels, real-time online courses should reflect these factors in their establishment and operation. By doing so, such courses can contribute to the professional and academic development of Korean studies.

동유럽 大學의 韓國語學의 現況과 發展 方向 -루마니아·헝가리·불가리아의 大學을 中心으로-

My paper aims to discuss situation and developmental direction of Korean Studies of Babes-Bolyai University in Romania, Eötvös Lorand University in Hungry, Sofia St. Kliment Ohridski University in Bulgaria. For this study, concretely compared situation of lectures, Students, Pro- fessors in Korean Studies managed by these Universities. After addressing them in depth, suggested realistic improvements of problems which these Universities have in common. Especially in order to complement insufficient lectures of Korean Studies in these Universities, using the CEEPUS(Central European Ex- change Programme for University Studies) actively which is operated by some of Universities in Eastern Europe is one of good methods and more need to expand the CEEPUS for developing Korean Studies in this area. And for developing teaching materials of Korean Studies suitable for local situation, local experts in Korean Studies and experts related fields in Korea need to highly cooperate with each other. As a final suggestion, for maintaining and developing the major of Korean Studies in Foreign Universities need to be a not only concern and support of Korean Institutions but also those of Korean Companies made a foray into local markets. 본 硏究는 동유럽의 大學 중에서 韓國語學을 專攻으로 運營하고 있는 루마니아의 바베쉬-보여이대학, 헝가리의 엘테대학, 불가리아의 소피아대학을 中心으로 이 地域 한국어학의 現況과 發展 方向에 대해 論議한 것이다. 이를 위해 현재 이들 대학에서 運營하고 있는 한국어학 전공의 講座 現況, 在學生 現況, 그리고 敎授陣의 狀況 등을 具體的으로 比較 檢討하였다. 논의를 통해 드러난 세 대학의 韓國語學科가 共通的으로 가진 問題點을 짚어 보고, 그에 대한 現實的인 改善策을 알아보았다. 아울러 現地에 맞는 한국어학 관련 敎材 開發과 관련해서는 국내의 관련 專門家와의 積極的이고 有機的인 協力을 提案하였다. 마지막으로 해외 대학의 한국어학 전공 維持 및 發展을 위해서는 韓國政府機關의 持續的인 關心과 支援뿐만 아니라 현지에 進出해 있는 한국 企業들의 적극적인 관심과 지원도 필요한 時點이라는 것을 言及하였다.
