        일부 크롬 폭로 근로자들에 있어서 변이원성 지표로서의 소핵검사

        This study was conducted to investigate the possibility of utilizing micronucleus test for buccal mucosa and blood lymphocyte as an indicator for the evaluation of chromium mutagenicity in workers(n=40) exposed to chromium trioxide(CrO₃) and controls(n=40) in Pusan and Changwon cities form April 1 to August 30, 1992. Urine chromium concentration was measured by atomic absorption spectrophotometer. Self-recorded questionnaire were used to collect information on the relevant characteristics of the study subjects. The results were as follows. 1. The mean frequencies of micronucleus in buccal mucosa, blood lymphocytes and average urine chromium concentration of chromium platers were significantly higher than those for controls(p<0.01). 2. The mean frequencies of micronucleus in buccal mucosa and blood lymphocyte of chromium platers by smoking habit were significantly higher than those of controls(p<0.01). However, the difference of mean frequencies of micronucleus between smokers and non-smokers were not statistically significant(p>0.05). 3. The frequencies of micronucleus in buccal mucosa and blood lymphocyte were highly correlated(r=0.7706). Some of the other variables were also correlated, for example, urine Cr concentrations and frequencies of micronucleus in blood lymphocyte(r=0.7259), urine Cr concentrations and frequencies of micronucleus in buccal mucosa(r=0.6247), age and work duration(r=0.4032), work duration and frequencies of micronucleus in buccal mucosa(r=0.3603), age and frequencies of micronucleus in blood lymphocyte(r=0.3260), work duration and frequencies of micronucleus in blood lymphocyte(r=0.3231), age and frequencies of micronucleus in buccal mucosa(r=0.2760). 4. According to the results of multiple classification analysis, frequencies of micronucleus in buccal mucosa were statistically associated with occupation and work duration, frequencies of micronucleus in blood lymphocyte associated with occupation and work duration, and urine Cr concentrations associated with occupation. The results suggested that micronucleus test in buccal mucosa and blood lymphocyte could be used as a biological indicator for evaluating toxic effects of chromium.

      • 鉛暴露 作業者의 鉛中毒 早期發見을 위한 集團檢診法 改善方案에 관한 硏究

        This study was carried out to evaluate the feasibility of current lead indicators used in screening lead who were sspeted to have been exposed to lead were selected as 'case'and 207 female workers from non-lead industry were selected for 'control'. The results obtained were as follows: 1. The mean values of blood lead for case and control were 31.4㎍/dl, 22.2㎍/dl,respectively. The difference observed in the mean concentration between case and control was statistically signifi-ant(P<0.01) 2. The mean values for blood ZPP by hematofluorometer for case and control were 31.3㎍/dl, 25.4㎍/dl,respectiely. And difference between two groups was statistically significant(P<0.01). 3. No statistically significant correlation was found between working duation and blood lead, blood ZPPlovel. 4. According to the simple correlation analysis,ZPPand urine lead were found to be statistically correlated with blood lead(P<0.01) 5. According to the discriminant analysis using blood lead as a dependent variable, it showed 89.1% predictability when using 40㎍/dl as a cutting value which is used as a screenig cutting value for industry workers health examination, while 81.8% for 30㎍/dl,77.54% for 20㎍/dl, respectively. 6. Lead related simptons which is used for screening the lead ntoxicated patients were used as a dependent variables in multiple regression analysis to find useful lead indicator. And significant independent variables were found to be ZPP, Age, and Hct. 7. Above results suggest that objective evalution of feasibbility of several lead indicators should be developed to correct the disutility of current lead screeng system in Korea.

        Procedural Synthesis using Vortex Particle Method for Fluid Simulation

        <P>Abstract</P><P>We propose a fast and effective technique to improve sub-grid visual details of the grid based fluid simulation. Our method procedurally synthesizes the flow fields coming from the incompressible Navier-Stokes solver and the vorticity fields generated by vortex particle method for sub-grid turbulence. We are able to efficiently animate smoke which is highly turbulent and swirling with small scale details. Since this technique does not solve the linear system in high-resolution grids, it can perform fluid simulation more rapidly. We can easily estimate the influence of turbulent and swirling effect to the fluid flow.</P>

        농촌 주부들의 요통발병률

        To investigate low back pain in rural women, 452 housewives living in the rural areas of Kyungnam province were interviewed during August 1990, and 444 subjects completely done were used for analysis. Attack rate of low back pain during the previous six months was 50.2%. In logistic regression analysis,a history of back injury(odds ratio - 3.439) and presence of other mus-culoskeletal disorders(odds ratio=2.047)were sighificantly independent of attacks of low back pain(p<<0.001), but age and parity were not. Excluding those 70 years old and over or no parity , the frequency of parity showed a significantly independent effect as odds ratio of 1.199(p<0.01)

        一部 대학생에 있어서 후천성 면역 결핍증에 관한 지식, 태도 및 관심도 조사

        A survey was carried out to investigate adolescents' knowledge, attitude, and belief changes about AIDS in college students. This study involved self-recording questionnaire, consisting of 24 questions which evaluated student's knowledge about the cause, transmission, and treatment of AIDS. A second group of 8 questions tapped students' attitudes and beliefs regarding personal susceptibility, disease severity, and the need for AIDS instruction to be included in college curriculum regularly. Students were requested to give "True", "False", "Don't know" responses to all questions. The major results of this survey are as follows. 1. In the proportion of respondents by sex, male respondents were 53.5%(547), whereas female respondents were 46.5%(475). Previously AIDS educated subjects were 35.3%(361). 2. Among previously AIDS educated subjects, the percentage of correct responses on AIDS knowledge statements was significantly increased in 15 statements(P<C0.05). 3. In attitude and belief statements, there was no statistical significance between AIDS survey subjects except one statement(P>0.05). In conclusion, this study suggests the need for preventive AIDS education not only to decrease potential high risk behaviors, but also to reduce unnecessary feelings of anxiety regarding susceptibility.

      • Jumping Tensegrity Robot Based on Torsionally Prestrained SMA Springs

        <P>This paper introduces the addition of torsional prestrain into the manufacturing process of shape memory alloy (SMA) springs to form torsionally prestrained SMA springs. These springs have a better performance at the same power input for the same loads and same coil dimensions as regular SMA springs. A modified thermoconstitutive model was presented that can predict the behavior of the actuator based on the amount of torsional prestrain added into the manufacturing process, and a simple two-state model is used to predict its actuation stroke. These improved actuators were used in the development of a tensegrity robots capable of fast rolling motions and jumping both vertically and horizontally. This robot is capable of rolling at 0.14 BL/s (body length per second) and can jump up to nearly a full body length.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>

      • 최적파괴확률에 의한 농업시설물의 단면설정

        농업생산에 있어 기후는 생산량에 중요한 영향을 끼치는 인자이다. 전 지구에서의 기후변화는 우리나라의 농업 환경에 많은 영향을 주고 있을 뿐만 아니라 과거의 기상을 토대로 설계된 농업생산기반 시설에도 큰 영향을 주고 있다. 특히 온실은 풍속과 적설심에 많은 영향을 받는 구조물로서, 구조 안전성을 확보하기 위해서는 구조형태와 단면형상 및 크기에 따라 적합한 안전풍속과 안전적설심을 확보해야 한다. 구조 설계과정에서 재료의 물성치, 하중, 치수공차 등의 각종 설계변수들은 불확실성(uncertainty)을 갖게되며 기존결정론적 설계방법에서는 이들을 확정값(평균)으로 가정하여 설계를 수행하여왔다. 그 결과 설계변수들의 불확실성이 목적함수나 제약조건에 미치는 영향이 무시되어 최적설계 결과가 제약조건을 만족시킬 확률이 감소한다. 기존 온실에 대한 안정성 검토 및 설계는 연구자들에 의하여 지속적으로 연구되어 왔으나 결정론적 구조해석 방법을 주로 사용하여 왔다. 결정론적 구조해석 방법과 다르게 확률론에 기초한 신뢰성 해석기법은 불확실성을 정량적으로 취급하여 구조물의 안전성을 확보하는데 보다 합리적인 수단이 될 수 있다. 또한 구조시스템의 파괴나 안전성의 결여는 일정한 안전율을 가지는 조건에서도 재료나 하중의 통계적인 특성의 차이에 따라 달라지기 때문에 구조설계시 신뢰성해석이나 설계이론을 적용한 설계법을 도입할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 농업생산기반 구조물인 유리온실 중 한국형 유리온실 표준설계도를 대상으로 신뢰성 해석 기법 중 하나인 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 각 부재별 파괴확률 산정하였고, 파괴확률 산출 결과를 토대로 최적 단면설정을 실시하였다.

      • 농지 규모화에 따른 오염물질의 최소 배출 농작업 기계 최적 조합 모델

        농작물 생산에 있어 농지의 대규모화와 농기계의 적극적 활용에 따라 농작물의 생산에 있어서도 대기오염물질의 방출은 불가피한 실정이다. 기존에 사용되고 있는 대중교통 및 대형 차량 등에 대해서는 전과정 평가를 기반으로 한 오염물질 배출의 정량적 평가에 대한 노력이 있었지만, 농기계에 대해서는 정성적 평가의 한계를 크게 넘지 못하고 있는 수준이다. 그러나 농작물 생산을 위한 농기계의 사용이 보편적으로 자리 잡고 있어 시기별 농기계 사용에 대한 온실가스 및 오염물질 배출량에 대한 정량적 산출을 전과정 평가의 관점에서 살펴 볼 필요가 있다. 또한 시기별로 사용되는 장비의 조합은 최종 사용자인 농민이 선택할 수 있는 여지가 있는 부분이므로 같은 효율을 발휘한다는 가정 하에 최소오염물질 방출량을 나타낼 수 있는 최적 사용 장비의 조합을 도출할 필요가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 연중 농작업 시기별로 사용되는 농기계의 온실가스 및 오염물질 방출량을 산출하고, 농작물 생산에 필요한 최소 오염물질 방출을 나타내는 장비의 최적 조합을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구의 범위 및 방법은 수도작 1ha를 경작할 때 시기별로 사용되는 기계의 오염물질 방출량을 조사하고, 조사된 자료를 이용하여 Lingo™을 이용하여 장비의 최적 조합을 찾아내고자 하였다.
