      • 구아닐산과 글리옥살의 첨가 반응에 대한 반응속도론적 연구

        구아닐산과 글리옥살 첨가반응의 속도상수를 여러 pH에서 분광광도법으로 측정하였다. pH-rate profile과 다른 실험결과로 부터 구아닐산과 글리옥살 첨가반응의 메카니즘을 설명할 수 있다. 이 반응의 pH-rate profile은 두 부분의 bell형태로 구성되어 있다. 즉 낮은 pH에서는 반응속도는 구아닐산과 글리옥살의 맞먹는 산의 농도에 의해 결정되며 높은 pH에서의 반응속도는 속도결정단계의 변화에 기인한다. The rate constants of the addition of glyoxal to guanylic acid were determined by ultraviolet spectrophotometry at various pH. The reaction mechanism of addition of glyoxal to guanylic acid can be explained by the pH-rate profile and other experimental evidences. The pH-rate profile of this reaction consists of two bell-shapes; at low pH the rate is dependent upon the concentration of conjugated acid of guanylic acid and glyoxal, at high pH the rate appears to be due to the transition of the rate-limiting step.

      • α-cyano-β-phenylacrylamide 유도체의 가수분해에 대한 반응속도론적 연구

        α-Cyano-β-phenylacrylamide 유도체(H, P-CH₃O, P-CH₃, P-CI, P-NO₂)가수분해 속도상수를 측정하여 넓은 pH범위에서 잘맞는 속도식을 구하였다. 이 결과와 다른 실험데이타로부터 이 가수분해반응에 잘맞는 반응메카니즘을 제안하였다. pH9 이상에서는 히드록시드 이온이 pH9 이하의 산성용액에서는 물분자가 직접 첨가되는 것으로 생각된다. The rare constants of the hydrolysis of α-cyano-β-phenylacrylamide derivatives (H, P-CH₃O, P-CH₃, P-CI, P-NO₂)were determined at various pH. The rate equation can be applied over a wide pH range were obtained. From the rate equation and experimental data, One can conclude that above pH9 the hydrolysis of α-Cyano-β-phenylacrylamide derivatives are initiated by the attack of hydroxideion, however below pH9, started by the addition of a water molecule.

        여러 pH에서 ethyl α-cyano-β-phenylacrylate유도체(H, p-Cl, p-CH₃, p-CH₃O, p-NO₂)의 가수분해 속도상수을 측정하여 넓은 pH범위에서 잘맞는 속도식을 구하고 이것으로부터 전 pH범위에서 적용되는 반응속도식을 구하였다. 이 속도식으로부터 실험 사실에 잘 맞는 반응메카니즘을 제안 하였다. pH7이상에서는 hydroxide 이온이 pH7이하의 산성용액에서는 물분자가 직접 참가되는 것으로 생각된다.       • Piperonylidenemalonic acid의 가수분해 메카니즘과 그의 반응속도론적 연구

        Piperomylidenemalonic acid 에 대한 가수분해 속도상수를 측정하여 넓은 범위에서 잘 맞는 반응속도식을 구하였다. 이 식에 의하면 넓은 pH 범위에서 일어나는 복잡한 반응메카니즘도 정량적으로 잘 설명할 수 있음을 알았다. 즉 pH 2.00 이하에서는 piperonylidenemalonic acid에 물이 직접 첨가되며 pH 2.00∼4.50 사이에는 주로 piperonylidenmonomalonate 에 pH 5부터는 piperonylidenedimalonate 에 물분자가 첨가됨을 알 수 있었다.

        여러 pH에서 α-Benzenesulfonamidobenzalthioglycolic acid 유도체(H, p-CH( ), m-CH( ), p-Cl, p-CH( )O)의 가수분해 속도상수를 측정하여 넓은 pH 범위에서 잘맞는 속도식을 구하고 이것으로부터 전 pH 범위에서 적용되는 반응속도식을 구하였다. 이 속도식으로부터 실험사실에 잘 맞는 반응메카니즘을 제안하였다. pH 11 이상에서는 hydroxide 이온이 pH 11 이하의 산성용액에서는 물분자가 직접 첨가되는 것으로 생각된다.       • 원발성 폐암 환자의 생존율에 관한 보고

        We analysed 404 patients with primary lung carcinoma who were treated at Soonchunhyang University Hospital from July, 1985 to september, 1993 in order to investigate the survival rate and epidemiolgical properties of primary lung cancer. They were 330 males and 74 females. The most prevalent decade was seventh. In terms of cell type, the squamous cell was 225 patients (55%), and adenocarcinoma, small cell, mixed type was 21%, 19%, 4%, respectively. Among non-small cell lung carcinoma, stage Ⅲa was the most prevalent one(92%). In case of small cell carcinoma, the limited stage was 64%. The 12-, 24-, 36- month survival rate of total patients was 57%, 31%, 22%, respectivley and median sruvival time was 15 months. The 36-month survival rate tended to be longer in non-small cell lung carcinoma than that of small cell lung cancer, but there was no difference between two groups, statistically. In non-small cell carcinoma, The 36-month survival rate and meidan survival time were longer in the stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ than those of Ⅲa, Ⅲb, Ⅳ (80% versus 38%, 22%, 0%, p<0.05). According to involvement of lymph node, the 36-month survival rate was longer in NO and N1 than those of N2, N3 (61.9%, 48.7% versus 17.7%, 17.3%, p<0.05). In small cell carcinoma, The 36-month survival rate and median survival rate were higher and longer in limited stage than those of extensive stage(16.1% and 13 month vs 10% and 8 month, p<0.05). In conclusion, we report here the incidence of primary lung carcinoma and the survival rate of paients with primary lung carcinoma who were treated in Soonchunhyang University Hospital.

        돈분뇨의 토양처리시 이온 성분의 용탈 특성

        An agricultural land application of swine slurry is one of the best management practices in Jeju island whose ground water must be protected. So as to study the effect of appling swine slurry on ground water or aquifer, incubation-leaching technique was used by assuming the incubating period of 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, or 32 days, and application rate of 3200.0㎎T-P/ℓ, 820.0㎎T-P/ℓ, and 1887.0㎎K^+/ℓ in swine slurry. The leachates were collected from the soil columns(PVC 30㎝L×5.5㎝D) packed 15㎝ in depth with Gangjeong soil series by washing with 100mL distilled water. The leached components were measured by using Ion chromatography for Cl^-, NO_3-N, F^-,Br^-, Na^+, K^+, Ca^2+, and Mg^2+, atomic absorption spectrophotometry for Fe and Mn, and UV-Vis spectrophotometry for T-N and T-P. Application of swine slurry in naked soil could influence on the ground water or aquifer by increasing nitrate-nitrogen in leachate with time, or leaching the cations present in soils in accompany with anions because of H^+ produced in nitrification. Therefore, careful consideration should be taken about what amount, when, where, and how for protecting ground water system.

      • Bistable Light Shutter Using Dye-doped Cholesteric Liquid Crystals Driven with Crossed Patterned Electrodes

        <P>To reduce power consumption by light shutters, bistable light shutters using cholesteric liquid crystal have been proposed. However, these bistable light shutters, which utilize the scattering of the incident light, are switchable only between transparent and translucent states. In this work, we successfully demonstrate a bistable light shutter that is switchable between transparent and opaque states because it utilizes not only scattering, but also the absorption of the incident light. We hide the objects behind a display panel and provide black color by switching the light shutter that is positioned at the backside of a see-through display. We realized a good opaque state by optimization of the electrode structure.</P>

        벤즈알데히드유도체와 아세틸아세톤으로부터 1,1-디아세틸-2-히드록시-2-페닐에탄 유도체(H, P-CH₃, P-CH₃O, P-Cl)들을 합성하였다. 넓은 pH 범위에서 1,1-디아세틸-2-히드록시-2-페닐에탄 유도체들의 가수분해속도상수를 자외선분광광도법으로 측정하여 넓은 pH 범위에서 적용되는 반응속도식을 구하였다. 이 속도식으로부터 실험사실에 잘 맞는 반응메카니즘을 제안하였다. pH 10 이상의 염기성 용액에서는 히드록시드 이온이 pH 10 이하의 산성용액에서는 물분자가 직접 첨가되는 것으로 생각된다. 1,1-Diacetyl-2-hydroxy-2-phenylethane derivatives were prepared by reacting benzaldehyde derivatives and acetylacetone. The rate constants of the hydrolysis of 1,1-diacetyl-2-hydroxy-2-phenylethane derivatives were determined by ultraviolet spectrophotometry at various pH and rate equation which can be applied over a wide pH range were obtained. From the rate equation and experimental datas, one can conclude that above pH10, the hydrolysis of 1,1-diacetyl-2-hydroxy-2-phenylethane derivatives are initiated by the attack of hydroxide ion, however below pH 9, started by the addition of a water molecule.
