      • 이온쌍 형성에 의한 벤조산 이온들의 Amberlite XAD-4 수지에 대한 흡착성에 관한 연구

        This study investigated the adsorption trends of benzoic acid derivatives on Amberlite XAD-4 resin by measuring distribution coefficients to apply them for ion-pair chromatography. The adsorption of benzoic acids was decreased by increasing the dissociation of the acids. Thus, the adsorption of the acids was affected by the pH of the solution. Under the condition of minimum adsorption which caused by dissociation of the acids, the adsorption of the acids was increased by adding tetrabutylammonium chloride (TBACl) and tetrabutylammonium iodide (TBAI) as ion pairing reagents. It was found that the adsorption of the acids was also affected by the co-anions in solution. When the solute ions form ion-pair with pairing ion and adsorb on XAD-4 resin, the effects of co-anions on the adsorption were studied. The order of decreasing adsorption is as follows. I->Br->Cl- Under the concentration of TBACl having maximum adsorption of the acids, the effects of co·anions on the increase of relative adsorptivity, which is the ratio of the distribution coefficients of o-nitrobenzoic acid to that of m-nitrobenzoic acid are as follows : I->Br->Cl- But, with TBAI, the increase of relative adsorptivity by co·anions was not found. These effects of co-anions on the adsorption of the acids, agree with the ion selectivity in anion exchange resin. In this study, the adsorption mechanism of benzoate anions by ion-pair formation was inferred as ion-interaction. To increase the separation efficiency of solutes by increasing selective adsorption, it was found to be more favorable to use ion pairing reagents, whose counter ion has small ion selectivity, and to add co-anions having larger ion selectivity than its counter ion.

      • 5,7-dihalo-8-hydroxyquinoline-XAD-7 침윤수지에 의한 금속이온의 흡착 및 회수에 관한 연구

        The Amberlite XAD-7 resin impergnated with 8-Hydroxyquinoline derivatives(DCHQ, DBHQ, DIHQ) has been studied to be applied to the selective and quantitative adsorption and recovery of some metal ions such as Cu(Ⅱ), Ni(Ⅱ) and Zn(Ⅱ) from the various aqueous solution. Distribution coefficient and impregnated capacity of DXHQ on XAD-7 resin was as follows : DCHQ < DBHQ < DIHQ. In considering acidity of DXHQ, the order increases as follows DCHQ < DBHQ < DIHQ. The impregnation capacities of XAD-7 resin for DXHQ were 9.06×10??mmol DCHQ/g, XAD-7, 1.5×10??mmol DBHQ/g, XAD-7, 1.81×10??mmol DIHQ/g, XAD-7 respectively. The DCHQ-impregnated-XAD-7 resin was stable in pH range from 4.0 to 8.0, DBHQ and DIHQ-impregnated-XAD-7 resin were stable in pH range from 3.0 to 7.0. Amounts of adsorbed metal ions were consistent in mole ratio in forming metal complex, The adsorbed metal ion was quantitatively recovered by HCI solution. Stability of M-DXHQ on XAD-7 resin increases as the electronegativity of the substituent decrease M-DCHQ-XAD-7<M-DBHQ-XAD-7<M-DIHQ-XAD-7.

      • 5.7-diiodo-8-hydroxyquinoline-XAD침윤수지의 금속이온흡착 및 분리에 관한 연구

        5,7-diiodo-8-hydroxyquinoline(DIHQ)의 Amberilte XAD -4 및 XAD-7 수지에 대한 최적흡착 pH는 pH3.0-7.0 영역이다. 이 pH에서 XAD-4 및 XAD-7 수지에 대한 DIHQ의 침윤량은 각각 3.10×10?²mmol DIHQ/g, XAD-4 resin와 1.80× 10?²mmol DIHQ/g, XAD-7resin이었다. DIHQ-XAD-4 및 DIHQ-XAD-7 침윤수지는 pH 3.0-7.0 영역에서 안정하였으며, 특히 DIHQ-XAD-4수지의 경우에는 횹착된 금속이온의 회수에 사용되는 용리액인 HCI의 농도가 증가하여도 안정도가 감소하지 않았으며 DIHQ-XAD-7수지의 경우에는 HCI의 농도의 증가에 따라 안정도가 감소하였다. DIHQ-XAD침윤수지에 대한 금속이온의 흡착은 Cu(Ⅱ), Cd(Ⅱ) 및 Ni(Ⅱ)의 경우에는 pH 9.0에서 최대흡착을 보였으며 이때 각 금속이온의 흡착몰비(금속이온 : DIHQ)는 1:2이었으며, Fe(Ⅲ)의 경우에는 3.0-4.0 영역에서 최대흡착을 보였으며 이때 흡착몰비는 1 :3이었다. DIHQ-XAD-4 및 DIHQ-XAD-7 침윤수지에 흡착된 금속이온은 각각 5M HCl 및 1M HCI 용액으로 용리하였을 때 정량적으로 회수되었으며, DIHQ-XAD-4침윤수지의 경우엔는 5M HCl을 용리액으로 사용하였을때 침윤량의 감소없이 5회이상 재사용이 가능하였으나 DIHQ-XAD-7 침윤슈지의 경우에는 1M HCl을 용리액으로 사용하였을때 5회 재사용에서 침윤량이 1/2로 감소하였다. The adsorption behavior of 5,7-diiodo-8-hydroxyquinoline(DIHQ) on Amberlite XAD-4 and -7 resins was investigated by measuring its distribution coefficients under various experimental conditions, such as shaking time, pH and concentration of organic solvent in medium. The application of DIHQ-impregnated-XAD resins for adsorption and separation of metal ions was studied. The maximum adsorption of DIHQ on XAD resins was observed in 30% acetone solution having pH range from 3.0 to 7.0. The impregnation capacities of XAD resins for DIHQ were 3.10 × 10?²mmol DIHQ/g,XAD-4resin and 1.80 × 10?²mol DIHQ/g,XAD 7 resin respectively. The DIHQ-impregnated-XAD resin was stable in pH range from 3.0 to 7.0 and the amount of DIHQ leached from XAD-4resin by eluting with variation of hydrochloric acid concentration, 1 to 5M, was negligible. The optimum pH range for adsorption of metal ions on DIHQ-impregnated-XAD resin was 9.0 for Cu(Ⅱ), Cd(Ⅱ) and Ni(Ⅱ), and was 3.0 for Fe(Ⅲ), and the adsorption mole ratio of metal ion to DIHQ were 1:2 for Cu(Ⅱ), Cd(Ⅱ) and Ni(Ⅱ), and 1:3 for Fe(Ⅲ) at the above pH range. It was found that the adsorbed metal ions on DIHQ-impregnated-XAD-4 and -7 resin was recovered quantitatively with 5M HCl and 1M HCl respectively. The DIHQ-impregnated-XAD-4 resin could be reusable over 5times without decrease in its impregnation capacity, but DIHO-impregnated-XAD-7 resin was decreased in its impregnation capacity to 1/2 with 1M HCl.

      • XAD 고분자 수지에 대한 phenol류의 흡착메카니즘에 관한 연구

        Distribution coefficient(log Kd) of phenol by XAD-2 resin stable at the range about 75-108% with maximum adsorption and adsorption behavior of phenol by XAD resins were followed with the Langmuir but got out of the model with increasing temperature up to 313。K. Interaction energy between phenol and XAD resins was to be good relativity with adsorption enthalpy at the stacking factor, F= 0.65. The main factor on the adsorption energy of phenol by XAD-2 , XAD-7 and Dowex 1-X 8 resin was dispersion energy, but dipole interaction energy act with neglectable.

      • 이온교환 수지에 의한 중금속 이온의 흡착 및 회수에 관한 연구(Ⅲ) : 산성용액중 중금속이온의 양·음이온 교환수지에 대한 흡착 및 회수 The Adsorption and Recovery of Heavy Metal Ions by Cation and Anion Exchange Resins in the Acidic Solutions

        본 연구에서는 HCl, H_2SO_4및 KCN 수용액중에 있는 몇가지 금속이온들을 양이온 교환수지인 Amberlite 200-C 와 음이온 교환수지인 Dowex 1-X8 수지로 이온교환흡착시켜서 분리하고 회수하는데 그 목적을 두었다. 공장폐수중 금속이온을 흡착, 제거 및 회수하는데 본 연구를 응용하기 위하여 HCl, H_2SO_4 및 KCN 수용액을 택하였고, Cd(Ⅱ), Cu(Ⅱ), Ni(Ⅱ), Zn(Ⅱ), Fe(Ⅲ), Cr(Ⅵ)의 6가지 금속이온들을 대상으로 하여 이온수지에 대한 흡착성을 조사하고, 금속이온들의 분리, 농축 및 회수 실험법을 연구하였다. 이때 금속이온의 이온교환흡착은 분포계수를 측정하여 설명할 수 있는데, 분포계수는 수지의 종류, 메디움의 농도 및 메디움과 금속이온과의 착이온 형성여부에 따라 변한다. 수지에 흡착된 금속이온들은 HCl 및 HNO_3로 용리하여 정량적으로 회수하였다. 상호분리가 곤란하였던 Cr(Ⅲ)-Zn(Ⅱ) 및 Cu(Ⅱ)-Ni(Ⅱ)은 컬레이트 침윤수지인 DBHQ-XAD-7[5,7-dibromo-8-hydroxyquinoline(DBHQ)-Amberlite XAD-7] 수지를 사용하여 쉽게 분리할 수 있었다. The paper deals with the basic study of the removal, concentration and recovery of metal ions by cation and anion exchange resins. The metal ions taken were Cd(Ⅱ), Cu(Ⅱ), Cr(Ⅲ), Cr(Ⅵ), Ni(Ⅱ), Zn(Ⅱ) and Fe(Ⅲ). In order to apply this study to industrial wastewaters HCl,H_2SO_4 and KCN media were chosen. The adsorption behavior of metal ions on Amberlite 200-C and Dowex 1-X8 were investigated by measuring their distribution coefficients by batch technique. The ion exchange absorption behaviors of metal ions in various media were as follows: (ⅰ) Cd(Ⅱ)>Zn(Ⅱ)>Fe(Ⅲ)>Cu(Ⅱ): Dowex 1-8X, 0.1~0.5M HCl (ⅱ) Ni(Ⅱ)>Fe(Ⅲ)>Zn(Ⅱ)>Cu(Ⅱ)>Cd(Ⅱ): Amberlite 200-C, 0.1~0.5M HCl (ⅲ) Fe(Ⅲ)>Cd(Ⅱ)>Ni(Ⅱ)>Zn(Ⅱ): Amberlite 200-C, 0.1~1.0M H_2SO_4 (ⅳ) Cd(Ⅱ)>Zn(Ⅱ)>Ni(Ⅱ)>Cu(Ⅱ)>Fe(Ⅲ): Dowex 1-X8, 0.1~1.0M KCN (ⅴ) Fe(Ⅲ)>Cu(Ⅱ)>Ni(Ⅱ)>Zn(Ⅱ)>Cd(Ⅱ): Amberlite 200-C, 0.1~1.0M KCN The trend of the elution behavior of metal ions by the columns packed with Amberlite 200-C and Dowex 1-X8 was similar to the trend of Kd values measured by batch technique. The metal ions adsorbed by Amberlite 200-C column were recovered quantitatively by eluting with 5M HCl or 5M HNO_3 solution. On the other hand the metal ions adsorbed by Dowex 1-X8 column were recovered by some eluents such as HCl, HNO_3, HCl-acetone, HNO_3-methanol, and HCl-HClO_4 solutions. The separations of the synthetic wastewaters which were consisted of Cr(Ⅵ), Cd(Ⅱ), Cu(Ⅱ), Zn(Ⅱ), Ni(Ⅱ) and Fe(Ⅲ) in 0.1M HCl or 0.1M H_2SO_4 medium were performed by Amberlite 200-C column. A 50mL of 0.1M HCl solution containing some metal ions such as Cd(Ⅱ), Cu(Ⅱ), Fe(Ⅲ), Ni(Ⅱ) and Zn(Ⅱ), could be concentrated 10-fold by 1g of Amberlite 200-C and recovered in 5mL by eluting with 0.5M HCl solution. The sequential separation and recovery of metal ions in an industrial wastewater were performed by using two columns, Amberlite 200-C and Dowex 1-X8.

      • <i>Actinidia arguta</i> extract attenuates inflammasome activation: Potential involvement in NLRP3 ubiquitination

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P><B>Ethnopharmacological relevance</B></P> <P> <I>Actinidia arguta</I> (<I>A. arguta</I>) has been widely used in Asian countries as a traditional medicinal herb to treat inflammation-related diseases, such as gastritis, bronchitis, and arthritis.</P> <P><B>Aim of the study</B></P> <P>The inhibitory effect of <I>A. arguta</I> leaves’ extract (AA) on inflammasome activation was investigated to verify its traditional use in treating inflammation-related diseases.</P> <P><B>Materials and methods</B></P> <P>Bone marrow-derived macrophages (BMDMs) primed by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) were activated by selective inflammasome stimulators, and the effect of AA on inflammasome activation was investigated. A monosodium urate crystal (MSU)-induced peritonitis mouse model was used to study the <I>in vivo</I> efficacy of AA on inflammasome activation.</P> <P><B>Results</B></P> <P>In the <I>in vitro</I> study, AA regulated NLRP3 ubiquitination and apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a CARD (ASC) oligomerization, leading to the inhibition of NLRP3 inflammasome-mediated interleukin (IL)-1β secretion. The inhibitory effect of AA on inflammasome activation <I>in vitro</I> was further confirmed <I>in vivo</I> using an MSU-induced peritonitis mouse model.</P> <P><B>Conclusion</B></P> <P>AA provided scientific evidence, substantiating the traditional claims for its use in the treatment of inflammation and inflammation-mediated metabolic disorders, including gout.</P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

      • 피부에서 경추 경막외강까지의 거리와 예측인자에 대한 연구

        Background: It is important that we know the depth of cervical epidural space beneath skin as the use of cervical epidural block to treatment of chronic pain in the head, neck, and upper extremities, We studied the distance from skin to cervical epidural space (DSES) in adult patients. Method and Materials: Data were gathered from 110 patients who visited pain clinic to have cervical epidural block for the relief of cervical and upper extremity pain. All block were performed using hanging drop method at C6-7 intervertebral space. Results: Mean DSES was 5.12 ± 0.68cm at C6-7 intervertebral space. DSES has not correlated with body weight, height. neck circumference and ponderal index (PI).

      • 입상점토광물에 대한 염료폐수의 흡착

        Granular clay minerals for adsorption of the organic dye prepared a Na-Bentonite and optimum condition calcined temperature $700^{\circ}C$ and polyvinyl alcohol quantity was 25%. Granular clay mineral stable range was pH3 to pH9 and specific area was $83m^2/g$. The adsorption of the organic dye on the Granular clay mineral showed result good adsorption with acid medium and then enthalpy was -3.36 ~ -0.84 kcal/mol. It was exhibit typical physical adsorption. 점토광물은 첨단소재용 원료로서 석유, 펄프, 비료, 점결제와 페인트 등 사용분야가 다양한 광물이며, 이러한 천연 점토광물을 비교적 간단하게 처리하여 체내에 농축되면 독성과 피해를 일으키는 염료 폐수의 흡착처리 및 흡착 메커니즘에 대해서 조사하였다. 그 결과 유기염료를 흡착처리하기 위한 입상 점토광물제조의 최적조선은 굽기온도 $700^{\circ}C$이며, 점결제인 polyvinyl alcohol 의 량은 25% 이었다. 제조된 입상 점토광물의 pH는 중성이었고 산성 메디움에서의 안정한 pH의 범위는 3~9 사이였고, 비표면적은 $83m^2/g$ 이였다. 제조된 입상점토광물에 대한 유기염료의 흡착량은 산성 메디움에서 좋은 흡착결과를 보였고, 이때 흡착엔탈피는 -3.36~ -0.84 kcal/mol 로 전형적인 물리흡착임을 나타내었다.
