Study on the ignition of methane fuel system highly diluted with argon was carried out in the temperature range of 1515∼1905K behind a reflected shock wave to investigate the rate coefficients for the reaction CH3+O2=CH3O+O. Ignition delay times were measured by monitoring the light absorption by methyl radical at ca. 214nm and pressure profiles. Computer modeling study of methane oxidation was also performed using a GRI_MECH, version 2.11 mechanism for sensitivity analysis and calculation of ignition delay times. The correlation of τp with the maximum heat release rate (dq/dt)max in the reaction zone was also investigated.

국내의 철도차량 중 새마을/무궁화나 KTX와 같이 도시간 이동하고 장거리 노선에선 화장실 설비가 설치가 된다. 화장실 설비는 오물처리장치와 급수장치로 구성이 되며 동절기의 동파 방지를 위한 시스템이 적용이 되어 있다. 그러나 동절기에 운전자나 유지보수 인원의 취급 부주의로 인해 동파사고가 발생하여 바닥재 등 차량에 손상을 주는 사례가 종종 접하고 있다. 이러한 취부 부주의 등에 의해 동파사고로부터 피해를 최소화 하기 위해 급수 장치의 시스템 개선에 대해 살펴보고 이해를 돕고자 한다. There are installed on toilet facility in domestic railways which run inter-city such as Saemaeul/Moogunghwa and KTX. It is composed of sanitary swage device and water supply device that reflected with froze and burst protection system in winter season. But it is often occur to freezing trouble due to the carelessness of the maintenance person or the drivers, which damages to the vehicle such as floor and interior. This paper describes on improvement of froze and burst protection system in order to minimize damage from freezing trouble and help you understand.

In this study, we assessed antioxidant, anti-diabetic, and anti-Alzheimer activities of Opuntia ficus-indica var. saboten (OFI) at harvest time. OFIs were cultivated December 2015~November 2016 in Jeju island. The 70% ethanol extracts of OFI were used to investigate total polyphenol and flavonoid contents, antioxidant(DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging assay), anti-diabetic(yeast α-glucosidase and rat α-glucosidase inhibition assay), and anti-Alzheimer(Acetylcholinesterase and butyrylcholinesterase inhibition assay) activities. Total polyphenol and flavonoid contents of OFIs were 17.40~23.11 μg garlic acid/mg Ex and 2.17~6.22 ug (+)-catechine/mg Ex, respectively. DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activity of OFIs were 131.98~184.90 mg ascorbic acid(AA) eq/100 g and 63.60~101.83 mg AA eq/100 g, respectively. In the anti-diabetic and anti-Alzheimer activities, 70% ethanol extracts of OFI exhibited moderate inhibition activity, compared to control (acarbose and beberine). Total polyphenol and flavonoid contents, antioxidant, anti-diabetic, and anti-Alzheimer activities were no significant differences by season, respectively. Therefore, information on comparative biological evaluations of OFI may be a beneficial in exploring functional food and drug development.

<P>Abstract-We fabricated carbon (C)-doped MgB<SUB>2</SUB> wires using phenol-formaldehyde resin (PF) as a C source to improve their critical current density (J<SUB>c</SUB>) in a magnetic field. In order to induce homogenous C doping, boron (B) powders were mixed with PF via liquid mixing technique and then the PF-treated B and Mg powders were mixed. The wires were fabricated by conventional powder-in-tube (PIT) process, followed by heat treatment through an in-situ reaction route. We observed that C was substituted for the B sites in the PF-doped MgB<SUB>2</SUB> and that the actual C content increased with increasing PF content. The doped MgB<SUB>2</SUB> wires exhibited lower critical transition temperature (T<SUB>c</SUB> ) and self-field J<SUB>c</SUB>, but superior H<SUB>c2</SUB> value and better J<SUB>c</SUB>(B) performance than the undoped sample. The 3 wt% PF sample had the highest J<SUB>c</SUB> value of 7.77 × 10<SUP>3</SUP> A/cm , which is significantly higher than that of the undoped sample (0.29 × 10<SUP>3</SUP> A/cm<SUP>2</SUP>) at 5 K and 6.4 T.</P>

We report the optical properties of amorphous LaAlOx (LAO) films grown by using the sol-gel process. The dielectric functions epsilon of the LAO films are obtained from 0.7 to 8.6 eV as a function of post-annealing temperature using spectroscopic ellipsometry. The LAO precursor sols were prepared at a molar ratio of La:Al = 1:1, were deposited on p-type Si substrates, and were sintered at 400 A degrees C. Post-annealing was performed for 1 min in N-2 by rapid thermal annealing (RTA) at 700, 850, and 1000 A degrees C. The e spectra of the resulting LAO films were obtained from the measured pseudodielectric functions by using multilayer calculations with the Tauc-Lorentz dispersion relation. We found that the values of epsilon for the sol-gel-deposited LAO films depended on the RTA temperature. This dependence provides a fundamental tuning basis for the solution-processed manufacture of LAO devices.
