Flow Priority Reconfiguration for Real-Time Software-Defined Networking

It is essential to support real-time communication in networked control systems, such as automotive systems or smart factories. Several studies have been conducted to schedule real-time flows by adjusting their priorities using software-defined networking (SDN). However, because its architecture was not originally designed for realtime communication, unexpected challenges may occur if it is utilized without careful consideration. In particular, because SDN does not provide an atomic method for priority adjustment, some flows may violate their timing constraints by receiving additional interference during priority adjustment. In this paper, we propose a novel scheme to safely update the flow priorities in SDN-based real-time systems. Accordingly, we first analyze the challenge that may occur when adjusting flow priorities within a switch. We then develop a scheme that determines safe procedures for priority adjustment. By network emulations, we demonstrate that the above challenge occurs in 178 out of 300 flow sets, but our scheme can effectively prevent all of them.

(Background and Purpose) The question of “What is architecture?” can be answered from various viewpoints, seeing the spirit of the times and architecture. However, there is no doubt that the question of ‘What is the authenticity of architecture?” can be distinctly answered as “the space of human dwelling.” Now and then, we ought to think about and focus on the question “What is a human dwelling, and how we can architecturally build?” Dwelling has a meaning of not only of living in a fixed area, but also has an existential meaning in the relation between human existence and the world, in the circumstance insisting that there is no dwelling in modern times. The study of what spatial characteristics express the authentic meaning of dwelling shows the necessity of this subject. Therefore, I would like to suggest what the architectural space encouraging human dwelling in our everyday life means by studying the spatial characteristics of dwelling meaning from Heidegger’s viewpoint. (Method) Heidegger explained the authenticity of dwelling through the phenomenal interpretation of human life. I try to extract the spatial characteristic from the structure of human existence, interpreted from Heidegger’s fundamental ontology. Furthermore, I demonstrate examples of architectural space expressing dwelling through the architectural works of Louis I. Kahn, who worked for putting existential meaning in architectural space. (Results) The analysis of the works of Louis I. Kahn says that the characteristics of his architectural space meet the spatial characteristic which is extracted from the meaning of “dwelling.” The “room” which is enclosed and open is relative with the other “rooms” or architecture itself. The space of the threshold is materialized to accommodate others or the outside world positively. And the ‘thing’ is an element which is very carefully planned for human beings to commune with site, human’s behavior, and architectural space. (Conclusions) Humans recognizes themselves under their relation with the world, building with others and his surrounding life a meaningful relation, and eventually lives expressing his life. Heidegger’s saying, “Dwelling same as Building.” means that the existential is spatial. It says that a dwelling should be interpreted to spatially. The “room” of Louis I. Kahn exists in communion with human’s desire and wish. The ‘room’s relativity, reciprocality, and expressivity shows human being’s wish to interpret architectural space into common sense. That’s why the “room” that is materialized physically and phenomenally is called “a place of human’s mind” by Louis I. Kahn. It is also a place encouraging human dwelling.
항공사 물리적 환경이 지각된 가치와 행동의도에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 항공사 물리적 환경 차원을 도출하고 이러한 물리적 환경이 고객의 지각된 가치와 행동의도에 어떻게 영향을 미치는지를 규명하고자 실시되었다. 우선 항공사 물리적 환경의 차원은 공간성, 쾌적성, 심미성 오락성으로 구분하였으며, 지각된 가치는 기능적 가치, 감정적 가치, 사회적 가치로 구분하였고, 이를 토대로 본 연구에서 제안한 모형을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 항공사 물리적 환경의 하위요인인 공간성, 쾌적성, 심미성, 오락성 중에서 지각된 가치의 하위요인인 기능적 가치에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 쾌적성, 심미성으로 나타났다. 그리고 감정적 가치에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 쾌적성, 심미성, 오락성으로 나타났으며, 사회적 가치에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 공간성, 오락성으로 나타났다. 둘째, 항공사 물리적 환경의 하위요인인 공간성, 쾌적성, 심미성 오락성 중에서 행동의도에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 쾌적성, 심미성으로 나타났다. 셋째, 지각된 가치의 하위요인인 기능적 가치, 감정적 가치, 사회적 가치 중에서 행동의도에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 감정적 가치로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 향후 항공사 경영자들이 한정된 자원을 효율적으로 활용하는 데에 있어서 어디에 주력을 해야 하며, 고객의 다양화된 욕구로 인해 단순히 가격 대비 성과에 따른 기능적 가치뿐만이 아니라 감정적, 사회적 측면의 가치를 추구하기 위해 어떠한 전략을 수립해야 하는지 실무적인 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것이다. This study was conducted to draw the factors of airline physical environment and to establish how this physical environment affects the perceived value and behavioral intention of customers. First of all, the factors of airline physical environment were classified into space, comfort, aesthetics, entertainment, and perceived value were classified into functional value, emotional value, social value. Then, based on that, the model proposed in this study was analyzed, and the results are as follows. First, the factors of airline physical environment affecting the functional value, which is factor of perceived value, were found to be comfort and aesthetic. In addition, the factors affecting the emotional value were found to be comfort, aesthetic, entertainment, and the factors affecting the social value were found to be space, entertainment. Second, the factors of airline physical environment affecting behavior intention were found to be comfort, aesthetic. Third, the factor of perceived value affecting behavior intention is found to be the emotional value. These findings could provide practical implications about what airline managers should focus on in efficient use of limited resources in the future, and what strategies they establish to pursue emotional and social value as well as functional value based on price-performance due to customers’ diversified needs.
머신러닝을 활용한 글쓰기 습관 형성 독서치료 애플리케이션 개발

코로나로 인한 비대면 상황으로 우울감이나 무기력증을 호소하는 사람들이 많이 증가하였다. 이에 따라 등장한 다양한 비대면 콘텐츠 중에서 독서치료에 집중하였다. 독서의 매체로 적극적으로 사용되는 것이 아닌 독서치료에 보조도구로 사용되는 애플리케이션 개발에 목적을 두었다. 본 애플리케이션의 주요 기능은 사용자의 심리적, 정신적 상태를 손글씨 데이터 기반으로 분석해 보여주고 이를 통해 사용자의 흥미를 유도하여 애플리케이션 사용 빈도를 높이는 것이다. 사용자가 글귀를 따라 적어 필체 데이터가 쌓이면 글자의 크기, 기울기, 단어 간격 등 정해둔 기준에 따라 분석하게 된다. 이를 기반으로 하여 사용자의 특성을 알아내는 알고리즘을 제시한다. 성격심리학적 모형은 ‘카카오 BIG5 성격 검사’로 5 개의 성격데이터 개방성, 성실성, 외향성, 우호성, 신경증)를 수집하였다. 필체 관련 데이터는 서울소재 D 대학 학생 66 명이 필사한 4개 세트의 글귀를 분석하여 글씨체를 기반으로 성격을 분석해주는 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 본 논문은 종이에 직접 손으로 글귀를 써보는 행위와 다른 사용자가 쓴 글귀를 감상하는 과정에서 심리 안정의 효과, 꾸준한 습관 형성, 문해력 향상 측면에서 긍정적인 작용을 할 것으로 기대 한다.
