<P>Index-matched indium tin oxide (ITO) electrodes for capacitive touch screen panels have been fabricated to improve optical transmittance and reduce the difference of reflectance (deltaR) between the etched and un-etched regions. 8.5 nm Nb2O5 and 49 nm SiO2 thin films were deposited by magnetron sputtering as index-matching layers between an ITO electrode and a glass substrate. In case of 30 nm ITO electrode, a 4.3% improvement in the optical transmittance and a deltaR of less than 1% were achieved, along with a low sheet resistance of 90 omega/square.</P>

Mercury occurs in various chemical forms, and it is different to health effects according to chemical forms. In consideration of the point, the evaluation of the mercury exposure to human distinguished from occupational and environmental exposure. With strict to manage occupational exposure in factory, it is declined mercury intoxication cases by metallic and inorganic mercury inhalation to occupational exposure. It is increasing to importance in environmental exposure and public health. The focus on the health impact of exposure to mercury is more on chronic, low or moderate grade exposure—albeit a topic of great controversy—, not high concentration exposure by methylmercury, which caused Minamata disease. Recently, the issue of mercury toxicity according to the mercury exposure level, health effects as well as the determination of what mercury levels affect health are in the spotlight and under active discussion. Evaluating the health effects and Biomarker of mercury exposure and establishing diagnosis and treatment standards are very difficult. It can implement that evaluating mercury exposure level for diagnosis by a provocation test uses chelating agent and conducting to appropriate therapy according to the result. but, indications for the therapy of chelating agents with mercury exposure have not yet been fully established. The therapy to symptomatic patients with mercury poisoning is chelating agents, combination therapy with chelating agents, plasma exchange, hemodialysis, plasmapheresis. But the further evaluations are necessary for the effects and side effects with each therapy.

In this study, syngas laminar burning velocities with various hydrogen contents were studied using both experimental measurements and kinetic simulations. The laminar burning velocities were measured by the angle method of Bunsen flame configuration and the numerical calculations including burning velocities were made using CHEMKIN Package with USC-Mech II. A large range of syngas mixture compositions such as 10:90%, 25:75%, 50:50%, 75:25% and equivalence ratio from lean condition of 0.5 to rich condition of 5.0 have been conducted. The experimental results of burning velocity were in good agreement with previous other research data and numerical simulation. Also, it was shown that the experimental measurements of laminar burning velocity linearly increased with the increasing of H2 content although the flame speed of hydrogen is faster about ten times than carbon monoxide. This phenomenon is attributed to the rapid production of the hydrogen related radicals such as H and OH at the early stage of combustion, which is confirmed the linear increasing of radical concentrations on kinetic simulation.

<P><B>Purpose</B></P><P> To establish an optimized and standardized protocol for the development of optimal scaffold for bioengineering corneal substitutes, we used femtosecond laser to process human corneal tissue into stromal lenticules and studied to find the most efficient decellularization method among various reagents with different tonicities. </P><P><B>Methods</B></P><P> The decellularization efficacy of several agents (0.1%, 0.25%, and 0.5% of Triton X-100, SDS, and trypsin-EDTA (TE), resp.) with different tonicities was evaluated. Of all protocols, the decellularization methods, which efficiently removed nuclear materials examined as detected by immunofluorescent staining, were quantitatively tested for sample DNA and glycosaminoglycan (GAG) contents, recellularization efficacy, and biocompatibilities. </P><P><B>Results</B></P><P> 0.5% SDS in hypertonic and isotonic buffer, 0.25% TE in hypotonic buffer, and 0.5% TE in all tonicities completely decellularized the corneal lenticules. Of the protocols, decellularization with hypotonic 0.25 and 0.5% TE showed the lowest DNA contents, while the GAG content was the highest. Furthermore, the recellularization efficacy of the hypotonic TE method was better than that of the SDS-based method. Hypotonic TE-treated decellularized corneal lenticules (DCLs) were sufficiently transparent and biocompatible. </P><P><B>Conclusion</B></P><P> We generated an ideal protocol for DCLs using a novel method. Furthermore, it is possible to create a scaffold using a bioengineered corneal substitute.</P>

Sarcoma is rare malignant tumor originated from mesenchymal stem cells that can differentiate to soft tissue and bone. Therefore sarcoma can be arised from any regions in human body. However, the incidence of bile duct sarcoma is extremely rare in adults. Obstructive jaundice is the most common presentation in the patients, but there`re no specific symptoms or signs. Also it can be misdiagnosed with other tumors or benign lesions in computed tomography or ultrasonography. For these reasons, it is hard to diagnose and manage. We present a case of intrahepatic bile duct sarcoma misdiagnosed with liver abscess in 70 year-old female with literature review.

This survey was performed to report rare outbreak of liver cirrhosis in Korean native goat (KNG) which was died of Yangpyeong`s goat farm on Feb. 1992. The examination for the KNG was carried out by clinical signs, necropsy and various laboratory test including parasitic, bacterial and histological test. The KNG looked jaundice, ascite, hemorrhage of rumen, abomasum and intestine, and brownish smooth cirrhotic liver at necropsy. Histological examination for liver revealed considerable proliferation of connective tissue and piecemeal necrosis which was caused by chronic active inflammation in interlobules and intralobules. There were atrophic micro and macro nodules which were surrounded by connective tissue. The lobular structure lack almost all central vein. The portal areas appearred proliferation of bile ducts, blood vessels and connective tissues. These connective tissue infiltrated heavily with plasma cells, lymphocytes and histocytes. Histological examination for brain proved to be hepatic encephalopathy by virture of congestion and edema in cerebral medullary. From these results were demonstrated mixed nodular, active, postnecrotic liver cirrhosis.
