The clothes of JeJu-do have dual structure of ceremonial clothes and ordinary ones though boththe influence from the main1and and from the tadjacent nations and also have particular aspect ofwork clothes by natural phenomena such as climate, soil, etc. First of all, the birth clothes which are a kind of ceremonial clothes are considered to be importantand rough hemp is used the material of them in order that the skin may be strong at diesease andat the same time, people develope strength and patience to overcome troubles and trials. The weddingclothes, another kind of ceremonial clothes are divided into two parts, old style and mordern styleby the introduction of wester civilization. Long Hood, old-fashioned ceremonial clothes are holiday dress for unmarried women of aristocratizclass in land, but it used bath ceremonial clothes and shroud in this island. However Long Hoodhave not employed since 1940.Second, there are Galott and woman diver's garb as work clothes, ordinary clothes. It is Galottthat representative clothes of farmers. To make Galott, one must smash unripe persimmon and cottonin it. The advantage of Galott whose color is yellow earth is its durability and it seldom is dirty,too. Nowadays, clothes for woman diver which are also work clothes are very different from those ofold times. In old times, peoples wore clothes made of cotton and used old typed fools. On the contrary,reformat dress are worn nowdays.In conclusion, we can guess their excellency from the view points that cotton and hemp producedin JeJu-do are properly used to make woman diver clothes be comfortable and active at work.
Identification of Chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflorum Ramat.) Varieties using SSR Markers

Chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflorum Ramat.) is a member of the Asteraceae and 588 varieties obtained Plant Variety Protection and 601 varieties were registered to Korea Seed & Variety Service for marketing. Thus, chrysanthemum is one of the important horticultural crop and having a possibility for infringement of Plant Breeder’s Rights. We investigated the genetic relationship of 20 chrysanthemum varieties using simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers. A total 335 SSR primer sets were screened for identification of 20 varieties. With 335 SSR primers, seventeen SSR primers showed polymorphism and reproducibility between 20 varieties. A total of 77 polymorphic fragments were identified by 17 SSR markers. Two to eight SSR alleles were detected for each SSR locus with an average of 4.53 alleles per locus. The polymorphism information content values ranged from 0.408 to 0.825 with an average of 0.45. Genetic distance of 20 varieties ranged from 0.36 to 0.73 by unweighted pair-group method with arithmetical average based on Jaccard’s distance coefficients. All of twenty varieties were distinguished by 17 marker genotypes. Future work will be investigated to construct DNA profile database for large number of chrysanthemum varieties using DNA sequencer.

Gluteal compartment syndrome is a rare disorder which often occurs in conjunction with prolonged immobility after an overdose of sedative. Signs of sciatic nerve compression frequently occur, and rhabdomyolysis may be associated with the syndrome. We recently encountered a patient with lumbosacral plexopathy, complicated by gluteal compartment syndrome. A 42-year-old man presented with weakness and swelling in the right lower extremity and gluteal area after an overdose of antipsychotic drug, accompanied by prolonged immobilization. Serum creatine phosphokinase and urinary myoglobin were markedly elevated, and a T2-weighted pelvis MRI showed hyperintensities and swelling in the gluteal muscles. An electrodiagnosis study showed incomplete lumbosacral plexopathy. The patient received medical treatment and rehabilitation. Six months later, his right lower limb weakness had improved and he could walk independently. Lumbosacral plexus injury with rhabdomyolysis is a rare but debilitating disorder. Therefore, early diagnosis and treatment are crucial for prevention of neurologic deterioration.
국내에서 수집된 국화 품종에 대한 SSR 분자표지 Database 구축

Chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflourm Kitamura) is a member of the Asteraceae and one of the important horticultural crops. The objective of this study was to construct a DNA profile database for identification of chrysanthemum varieties using simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers. In order to select SSR markers for the variety identification, we screened 587 SSR primers using 20 varieties. Among them, 27 SSR markers showed polymorphism. We finally selected 14 SSR markers showing peak clearance, high polymorphism and reproducibility in 20 varieties. In conclusion, DNA profile database for 147 chrysanthemum varieties were constructed by 14 SSR markers. A total of 79 SSR alleles were detected and three to ten alleles were detected with an average of 5.6 alleles per locus. The polymorphism information content value ranged 0.287 ~ 0.785 with an average of 0.598. Genetic relationship revealed that genetic distance of 147 varieties ranged from 0.44 to 1.00. The 143 varieties among 147 varieties were distinguished by 14 SSR markers but the 2 varieties developed by mutation breeding and natural variation were not distinguished from original varieties. These constructed SSR profile database will be useful for the selection of similar varieties for candidate variety and for solving problem relating to seed dispute and infringement of plant breeder’s right.

Objective: To evaluate the association of MRI features with the major genomic profiles and prognosis of World Health Organization grade III (G3) gliomas compared with those of glioblastomas (GBMs). Materials and Methods: We enrolled 76 G3 glioma and 155 GBM patients with pathologically confirmed disease who had pretreatment brain MRI and major genetic information of tumors. Qualitative and quantitative imaging features, including volumetrics and histogram parameters, such as normalized cerebral blood volume (nCBV), cerebral blood flow (nCBF), and apparent diffusion coefficient (nADC) were evaluated. The G3 gliomas were divided into three groups for the analysis: with this isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH)-mutation, IDH mutation and a chromosome arm 1p/19q-codeleted (IDHmut1p/19qdel), IDH mutation, 1p/19q-nondeleted (IDHmut1p/19qnondel), and IDH wildtype (IDHwt). A prediction model for the genetic profiles of G3 gliomas was developed and validated on a separate cohort. Both the quantitative and qualitative imaging parameters and progression-free survival (PFS) of G3 gliomas were compared and survival analysis was performed. Moreover, the imaging parameters and PFS between IDHwt G3 gliomas and GBMs were compared. Results: IDHmut G3 gliomas showed a larger volume (p = 0.017), lower nCBF (p = 0.048), and higher nADC (p = 0.007) than IDHwt. Between the IDHmut tumors, IDHmut1p/19qdel G3 gliomas had higher nCBV (p = 0.024) and lower nADC (p = 0.002) than IDHmut1p/19qnondel G3 gliomas. Moreover, IDHmut1p/19qdel tumors had the best prognosis and IDHwt tumors had the worst prognosis among G3 gliomas (p < 0.001). PFS was significantly associated with the 95th percentile values of nCBV and nCBF in G3 gliomas. There was no significant difference in neither PFS nor imaging features between IDHwt G3 gliomas and IDHwt GBMs. Conclusion: We found significant differences in MRI features, including volumetrics, CBV, and ADC, in G3 gliomas, according to IDH mutation and 1p/19q codeletion status, which can be utilized for the prediction of genomic profiles and the prognosis of G3 glioma patients. The MRI signatures and prognosis of IDHwt G3 gliomas tend to follow those of IDHwt GBMs.

In this digital society, we seek the covenience even in using language, surrounded by digital environment. A lot of communication take place in online space, through digital computer. Therefore, we can research language based on the digital text resource and use more computational methods called machine learning which became prominent by the most recent AlphaGo and artificial intelligence issues. We present why this machine learning method is useful and necessary and how different theoretical linguistic explanation and computational linguistic feature representation are in terms of accessibilty to machine. We also show the method of representing linguistic features for the machine learning techniques i.e. neural network and bayesian network which started from human mind.
