        소라 , Turbo cornutus Solander 의 생식세포형성과정 및 생식주기에 관한 조직학적 연구

        The development of the gonads, gametogenesis and the reproductive cycle of the topshell, Turbo cornutus Solander, which is one of valuable food animals fom Korean waters ware studied by photomicroscophy. The materials were monthly collected from Bangeojin, Jeongjari and Dangweol, all these places being located in the south-eastern part of Korea, for one year from March 1979 to February 1980. Topshell is dioecious and oviparous. Gonad is situated on the surface of liver, which lies posteriorly. The surface of ovary and testis is covered with a fibrous membrane, membrane of connective and muscular fibers and then outermost layer of simple-columnar epithelial cells which are composed of cuboidal and columnar mucous gland cells. Primordial germ cells develop on the germinal epithelium of ovarian and testicular lobuli which are originated from the fibrous membrane and extend toward hepatic gland. Undifferentiated mesenchymal tissue and pigment granular cells are abundantly distributed between the growing oocytes and spermatocytes in the early development stages. With the further development of the ovary and testis these tissue and cells gradually disappear. Then the undifferentiated mesenchymal tissue and pigment granular cells are considered to be related to the growing of the oocytes and spermatocytes. Early multiplicating oogonium is ca. 10��in diameter and nucleus having a central nucleolus is ca. 8�� As the oocytes grow to ca. 50-60��by the increase of cytoplasm, the oocytes become look like bunches of grapes which are attached to overian lobuli. mature eggs are ca. 180-210��in diameter and it is surrounded by a gelatinous membrance of ca. 10��in thickness. After spawning, undischarged ripe eggs and spermatozoa remain in the ovary and testis respectively for some time. Then they finally degenerate, and proliferation of new oogoia and spermatogonia occur along the germinal epthelia of newly developed ovarian and testicular lobuli. Reprocuctive cycle of Turbo cornutus could be classified into five successive stages: multiplicative, growing, mature, spent and recovery stages. Spawning occurs from August to November with peak spawning from early September to late October.

        TRIPs 강제실시권 조항 개정에 관한 소고

        TRIPs 제31조의2 개정은 의약품과 관련하여 선후진국의 대립되는 상황에서 결론을 도출했다는데서 상당히 큰 의미를 가진다고 할 수 있다. 특히 인간의 생명과 공중보건에 관한 중요한 결정이라는데서 더욱 의미를 가지게 된다고 볼 수 있다. 이번 개정을 통해 개도국 및 최빈개도국의 경우 자국의 국민의 생명 및 보건문제를 해결하기 위해 타국의 의약품 생산시설을 이용할 수 있으며, 이에 따라 의약품을 공급받을 수 있다는 것도 큰 의미라 할 수 있다. 이에 개도국 및 최빈개도국의 경우 해당 제도를 국제조약뿐만 아니라 FTA 등에서도 적극적으로 활용할 것으로 예상되며, 이러한 상황은 우리나라에도 영향을 미칠 것으로 보인다. 살펴본 바와 같이 우리나라의 경우 2005년 특허법 개정을 통해 이미 수입국에서의 요청이 있는 경우 강제실시를 통해 의약품등을 생산하여 수출할 수 있는 제도적 장치를 마련해놓고 있으며, 의약품을 적절히 생산할 수 있는 기반시설을 충분히 가지고 있다. 때문에 앞으로 수입국의 요청이 있는 경우 또는 국제협상 대응 시 소극적인 해석보다는 관련 제도가 정하는 범위 내에서 국제적인 공중보건의 위기에 적극적으로 노력하는 부분도 중요할 것이다. 강제실시권 제도의 실효성을 재고를 위해 특허권 보호를 위한 노력과 인간의 건강권을 지키기 위한 공중보건적 측면이 균형을 이루도록 노력을 지속해야 할 것이다. The revision of Article 31bis of TRIPs seems to be very meaningful since conclusions have been reached amid confrontations between developed countries and developing ones in relation to pharmaceuticals. They carry even greater meaning because they are important decisions for the life of human beings and public healthcare. Through this revision, developing countries as well as the least developed ones can use drug production facilities in other countries to solve their public health problems, so the provision of medical supplies is very meaningful. Accordingly, the countries will request to strengthen the institution actively in international treaties and FTAs, etc., and this in turn will have impacts on Korea, too. With regard to the foregoing, Korea already retains institutional mechanisms for the export of pharmaceuticals, etc., by compulsive execution for requests from importing countries through the revision of the Patent Law in 2005; we also have sufficient infrastructure for the proper production of medical supplies. Thus, if there is any request from the importing nation or for response to international negotiations, proactive efforts for international public health crises within the scope stipulated by related institutions will be important, rather than passive interpretation. In order to raise the effectiveness of the compulsive execution system, there should be balance between efforts to protect patents and those for public healthcare for the right to be healthy.

        Interleukin-17 Enhances Germinal Center Formation and Immunoglobulin G1 Production in Mice

        Objective. Interleukin (IL)-17 is a pro-inflammatory cytokine that has pleiotropic effects on multiple target cells and thereby contributes to the development of immune-mediated inflammatory disorders. However, the role of IL-17 in the humoral immune response has not been clearly elucidated. Methods. Mice deficient in IL-17A (IL-17A knockout [KO] mice) and wild type (WT) C57BL/6 mice were compared. Distinct B cell (mature/precursor and marginal zone/follicular) and plasma cell populations were compared using fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS) and confocal immunostaining. Immunoglobulin production was assessed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results. There was no difference in B cell and plasma cell populations between IL-17A KO and WT mice. However, after T cell-dependent antigen challenge, IL-17A KO mice produced lower levels of immunoglobulin (Ig)G1 than wild-type animals. IL-17A KO mice also showed reduced germinal center (GC) formation and lower expression of activation-induced cytidine deaminase, the essential enzyme for class switch recombination (CSR). IL-17 had no effect on the proliferation or survival of naïve B cells in in vitro functional studies. However, IL-17 treatment promoted naïve B cell differentiation into plasma cells in synergy with IL-4, although IL-17 alone had no effect. Conclusion. Our findings suggest that IL-17 contributes to the humoral immune response by enhancing GC formation, CSR to IgG1, and plasma cell differentiation in synergy with IL-4.

        무용전공대학생의 신체정렬교육에 관한 인식도 조사

        본 연구는 대학 무용전공생의 신체정렬교육 인식도를 조사하여 전문교육기관인 대학무용 교육의 방향성을 모 색하고 제시하여 수업의 질을 향상시키는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 수도권 소 재의 4년제 대학교 무용전공자 171명을 연구대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 다음과 같은 결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 무용전공대학생들은 신체정렬에 대한 인식과 바른 신체정렬에 대한 인식이 매우 높았으나 실제로 신체정 렬교육에 대한 경험은 매우 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 무용전공 대학생들은 무용교육을 통한 해부학적 지식 을 습득하지 못한 것으로 나타났으며, 바른 신체정렬을 위한 측연선 인식에서 한국무용전공 학생이 발레전공 학생보다는 높은 것으로 나타났으나, 세 전공모두 측연선 인식에 대해 잘 모르는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 무용 전공 대학생들은 신체정렬교육 교과목 개설에 대한 필요성이 높았으며, 특히 현대무용전공 학생들이 신체정렬 교육 교과목 개설을 필요로 하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구는 대학무용교육의 방향성 제고에 기초데이 터를 제공하며, 무용전공 대학생의 올바른 신체정렬교육을 위한 프로그램개발이 필요하다는 것을 시사한다. The objective of the following study is to improve the quality of dancing education, and suggest a right educational pathway in college and universities through a survey on awareness level of body alignment between dance major students. In order to fulfill the objective of this study, a questionnaire survey was conducted with the subject of 171 dance major student, those who were parts of various universities located in Metropolitan area. Throughout the survey, the following results were deduced. Firstly, despite the fact that the students were very well aware of the body alignment, the according educational experience happened to be remarkably low. Secondly, it has been shown thar, in general. there is lack of course subjects provided to students related to lessons about anatomy. Moreover, students majoring in Korean dance were shown to have higher level of awareness on lead line for body alignment than those who are majoring in ballet, however, the overall level of awareness still did not reach the standards. Lastly, there is high necessity of course subject establishment related to body alignment, especially among the contemporary dance major students. As a result, this study has provided the fundamental data on developing the pathway of college level dancing education, and suggested the necessity of education establishment on teaching the awareness of the right body alignment to dance major students.

        Prognostic Significance of the Imaging Parameters of Adipose Tissue and Bone Marrow on F-18 Fluorodeoxyglucose PET/CT in Patients with Malignant Melanoma

        Purpose Fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) uptake of bone marrow (BM) and adipose tissue is known to reflect systemic inflammatory response to cancer cell. The objective of this study was to evaluate the prognostic value of F-18 FDG uptake of BM and determine characteristics of visceral adipose tissue (VAT) and subcutaneous adipose tissue (SAT) on PET/CT images in malignant melanoma. Materials and Methods We retrospectively reviewed 33 patients histopathologically diagnosed with malignant melanoma via FDG PET/CT staging. BM-to-liver uptake ratio (BLR), volume of VAT and SAT, CT Hounsfield unit (HU), and mean of standardized uptake value (SUVmean) of VAT and SAT on PET/CT were measured and prognostic values of these parameters for prediction of disease progression-free survival (DPFS) were evaluated. Results Patients with stage III–IV melanoma had higher CT HU and SUVmean for SAT and VAT but lower volume of VAT compared with patients at stage I–II (p < 0.05). Survival analysis, patients with high CT HU of VAT and SAT, high SUVmean of VAT and SAT, and high BLR showed worse DPFS (all p < 0.05), indicating significant association. However, volume of SAT or VAT failed to show significant association with DPFS (p > 0.05). Conclusion CT HU, SUVmean of SAT and VAT, and BLR provide prognostic information for DPFS in malignant melanoma.

        희귀등록질환 중 류마티스질환에 대한 새로운 이해

        This new classification system redefines the current paradigm of rheumatoid arthritis (RA),systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and ankylosing spondylitis (AS), by focusing on the features of the disease at earlier stages. The new classification criteria of RA was devised to facilitate early diagnosis. They include the use of positive anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide antibody test and the presence of the increased level of acute phase reactants such as erythrocyte sedimentation rate and c-reactive protein. As compared to the old criteria in which only plain radiography was used to determine the joint damage, ultrasound can be regarded as a valuable tool for examining the extent of synovitis in the new criteria. In terms of SLE, immunologic criteria were intensified in the new classification criteria. They include hypocomplementemia as a single criterion and the presence of anti β2GPI antibody is considered to meet the antiphopholipid antibody criterion. The new concept of neuropsychiatric lupus is applied as well. The most recent classification criteria for AS were provided by Assessment of Spondyloarthritis International Society. They cover the whole spectrum of axial spondyloarthritis (SpA) and peripheral SpA and use magnetic resonance imaging as an important tool to assess early sacroiliac changes. In addition, they emphasize the presence of HLA-B27 gene as an important criterion. In order to prevent the undesirable organ damages, it is crucial to diagnose rheumatic diseases at early stages according to these new classification criteria and to start an early aggressive treatment. The accurate diagnosis and early targeted therapies will contribute to the improved quality of life and increased overall survival of the patients with rheumatic diseases.

        세계 시민의식 함양으로서의 교육목적 논의와 독도교육

        The purpose of this paper is to reveal educational basis for Dokdo Education innovation by analyzing the meanings of education and educational aims. The discussions of educational aims as educating citizens for global awareness are useful for the detecting about now educational view and practice of Dokdo Education. In this case, The morality and rationality as educational aims is to provide the basis for diagnosis of Dokdo schooling and to introduce educational contents and methods. Dokdo Education is not the training for protecting Dokdo domain and the education for global minds to view of points for personal flourishing as well as public life. The method for teaching is to add the chance of discussion learning in view of the pedagogy.
