      • 집단신뢰와 집단성과: 집단효능감의 매개역할

        불확실성과 복잡성이 지속적으로 높아지고 있는 오늘날의 조직환경의 변화는 조직내 집단 활용의 필요성과 더불어 집단구성원들 간의 신뢰의 중요성을 부각시키고 있다. 집단을 이루는 구성원들간의 신뢰를 통한 개방적인 상호의사소통과 자발적인 협력이 집단목표를 성취하기 위한 과정에서 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 기대되기 때문이다. 그러나 신뢰의 기능에 대한 이러한 일반적 기대에도 불구하고 신뢰의 실질적 효과와 효과가 발현되는 메커니즘에 대한 이해는 아직 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구는 집단수준에서 신뢰가 가지는 함의에 대한 이해 증진을 위해 집단구성원들 간의 대인신뢰를 정서기반 신뢰와 인지기반 신뢰로 구분하고 집단성과와의 관계를 살펴보았다. 또한 집단신뢰와 성과 간의 관계를 매개하는 변수로 집단효능감의 역할을 고찰하였다. 가설검증을 위한 자료는 학생들로 구성된 71개팀 357명으로부터 수집되었다. 실증관계에 대한 보다 명확한 해석을 위해 변수별로 시차를 둔 측정이 이루어졌으며, 다양한 측정방식과 자료원이 활용되었다. 분석 결과, 집단신뢰의 두 유형 중 정서기반 신뢰가 집단성과와 유의한 관계를 갖는 것으로 나타났으며, 집단효능감이 집단구성원들의 정서기반 신뢰와 집단성과 간의 관계를 완전매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 성과에 대한 집단신뢰의 역할과 함께 집단신뢰의 긍정적인 효과를 전달하는 동기부여적 메커니즘의 이해에 기여하고 있으며, 이에 따른 다양한 이론적, 실무적 시사점을 가진다. Tasks in today's organizations are becoming increasingly complex and interdependent. As a result, many organizations are using groups, instead of individuals, as their basic operation units. However, not every coordination or cooperative issue among group members can be pre-identified and prescribed by detailed legal contracts or job descriptions. Rather, work groups need to rely on interpersonal trust relationships for their successful functioning. Researches have acknowledged that intragroup trust is a key factor in open communication, cooperation, and coordination which contribute group performance. However, in spite of this general expectation of the positive effect of trust on group effectiveness, relatively little has been known about the direct effect of intragroup trust on group performance and the underlining mechanisms that transmit the effects of intragroup trust to performance. It seems that this limited understanding of the role of intragroup trust in group functioning may be attributed to the fact that prior research on trust has either emphasized the importance of trust in the organizations at the conceptual level or focused on the consequences of a trusting relationships between leader and subordinate at the individual level. The purpose of the present study is to explore the relationship between intragroup trust and group performance, focusing on an underlying mediation mechanism of the relationship. First, drawing on the trust literatures across various disciplines, we focused on two principal forms of intragroup trust (i.e., cognition-based trust and affect-based trust) for more integrative understanding for the nature of trust among group members. Then, we investigated the effect of cognition-based intragroup trust and affect-based intragroup trust on group performance. We also investigated how the two forms of intragroup trust affect the performance of groups. Specifically, we propose that group efficacy plays a mediating role in the relationship between intragroup trust and group performance. We tested the proposed hypotheses using a sample of 71 project groups consisting of 357 undergraduate students. The results indicated that affect-based intragroup trust is positively related to group performance but cognition-based intragroup trust is not. The results also showed that group efficacy mediates the relationship between affect-based intragroup trust and group performance. Findings of this study contribute to the research literature in several ways. First, it contributes to a better understanding of the function and role of intragroup trust by distinguishing two forms of intragroup trust and identifying their relationships to group performance. Second, the finding of the mediating role of group efficacy in the relationship between affect-based intragroup trust and group performance extends our limited understanding of motivational mechanism through which intragroup trust affects group performance. Future research needs to examine separated motivational processes that can further enhance our understanding of the nature and function of two forms of intragroup trust on group effectiveness. Our findings offer several practical implications for organizational managers. First, mangers need to know that group members can trust peers not only based on their ability and expertise but also emotional support and bonds. Specially, the current findings demonstrate the importance of affect-based trust relationships among group members. Managers, therefore, need to pay a particular attention to affective factors of group members' relationships and to develop a positive affective climate which can facilitate constructive social interaction among group members. Furthermore, it may be that affect-based intragroup trust plays a relatively more important role in the groups that consist of members without a formal leader or a hierarchical structure among them.         A simple iterative independent component analysis algorithm for vibration source signal identification of complex structures

        Independent Component Analysis (ICA), one of the blind source separation methods, can be applied for extracting unknown source signals only from received signals. This is accomplished by finding statistical independence of signal mixtures and has been successfully applied to myriad fields such as medical science, image processing, and numerous others. Nevertheless, there are inherent problems that have been reported when using this technique: instability and invalid ordering of separated signals, particularly when using a conventional ICA technique in vibratory source signal identification of complex structures. In this study, a simple iterative algorithm of the conventional ICA has been proposed to mitigate these problems. The proposed method to extract more stable source signals having valid order includes an iterative and reordering process of extracted mixing matrix to reconstruct finally converged source signals, referring to the magnitudes of correlation coefficients between the intermediately separated signals and the signals measured on or nearby sources. In order to review the problems of the conventional ICA technique and to validate the proposed method, numerical analyses have been carried out for a virtual response model and a 30 m class submarine model. Moreover, in order to investigate applicability of the proposed method to real problem of complex structure, an experiment has been carried out for a scaled submarine mockup. The results show that the proposed method could resolve the inherent problems of a conventional ICA technique.

        CFD를 이용한 Floor Cone AVD 높이에 따른 흡수정 흐름변화 분석

        Pump station is a very important flood control facility to mitigate inundation area in low-land in urban area. It is not easy to secure site to increase capacity of pump station in urban area due to the various limits. Thus, the maximization of discharge capacity have to be achieved under restricted condition. New pump install with larger capacity could be suggested to increase capacity of pump station. However, additional facility may affect to the flow characteristics, such as increase of flow velocity and vorticity, and cause sever problem to operation of pump station. To solve that problems, the anti-vortex device (AVD) which reduce vorticity of flow could be adopted. In the design process of pump stations in Korea, engineers consider design criteria from foreign countries because lack of appropriated design standard in Korea. Furthermore, design of AVD is based on the experience since enough data about AVD are not available. In this study, numerical simulation based on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) had been used to simulate flow in sump with various conditions of AVD height to supply information which can be apply to the design of pump station. 도시지역 저지대의 침수피해 방지를 위한 빗물펌프장은 치수안전도를 향상시키는 중요한 치수시설이다. 도시지역의 빗물펌프장은 각종 제약조건으로 인하여 시설증대를 위한 부지확보가 용이하지 않으므로 제한된 조건에서 토출성능을 극대화할 필요성이 있다. 펌프장의 토출량을 향상시키려면 기존의 흡수정에 토출능력이 향상된 신규펌프를 설치를 고려할 수 있다. 그러나, 추가시설투입은 흡수정내의 흐름율을 증가시키고 강한 와류를 동반하여 침수발생시 펌프운영에 문제를 발생시킬 수 있다. 이에 대한 대응방안으로 흡수정내 흐름의 와류를 저감시키는 와류방지장치를 설치하여 흐름을 안정화는 방안들 도입하기도 한다. 국내 펌프장 설계기준을 살펴보면 해당시설에 대한 정량적으로 제안된 설계식이 없어 국외의 기술을 차용하거나, 경험에 의한 설계를 수행하고 있는 상황이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 서로 다른 와류방지장치 설치높이 조건에서 형성되는 흐름을 CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) 모형을 이용하여 분석하고, 설계시 활용할 수 있는 기초자료를 제시하는 연구를 수행하였다.
