Diabetic neuropathy is a major factor in determining the morbidity of diabetic patients and most common complication, so the majority of diabetic patients have diabetic polyneuropathy. The most common causes of amputation of lower extremities are diabetic neuropathy and vascular insufficiency, taken over 50% of all causes. Near-normoglycemia is now generally accepted as the primary goal in the prevention of diabetic neuropathy. However, relatively long periods of near normal glycemic control for several months or even years may be needed to retard the progression of nerve dysfunction in diabetic patients with advanced stages of peripheral neuropathy. Hence, additional pharmachological treatments of painful neuropathic symptoms are frequently required to maintain the quality of life in symptomatic diabetic neuropathy. Antioxidant treatment has been shown to prevent nerve dysfunction in experimental diabetes mellitus, thus providing a rationale of potential therapeutic value for diabetic patients. The effects of thioctic acid, anti-oxidant α-lipoic acid, were studied in a eight weeks schedule in 21 diabetes mellitus patients with symptomatic peripheral neuropathy. They were assigned to treatment with thioctic acid 600㎎ once daily before breakfast. Neuropathic symptoms(pain, burning, parethesia, and numbness) were scored at baseline and each visits(4th week and 8th week later). Biochemical status was checked via blood sampling at baseline and 8th week of treatment. As a result, the mean value of total symptom scores were 6.6±2.0, 6.1±2.2, and 4.5±1.7 at baseline, second, and third visit. Although there was no significant statistical change in total symptom scores of neuropathic symptoms between first and second visit, significant improvements were observed at third visit compared with second visit(p=0.03). But no specific unfavorable effects or biochemical changes were not noted during the treatment with thioctic acid. So, we observed the significant beneficial effects of thioctic acid 600㎎ once daily before the breakfast for eight weeks in controlling symptoms of diabetic neuropathy without specific adverse reaction.
The Dialectic of Reconciliation in Hegel’s “Spirit” chapter of Phenomenology of Spirit

The act of reconciliation heals broken relationships among variously oriented human subjects, thus making them project a more livable society in mutual respect. Insofar as the source of conflicts lies in human relationship, reconciliation has been the term to refer to the recovery of the most profound relationality that promises the well-being of the entire humanity. In this paper I present Hegel’s dialectic of reconciliation based on the “Spirit” chapter of Phenomenology of Spirit, in a way to show how the actualization of reconciliation between differently oriented people has been necessitated through historical paradigms that Hegel dialectically conceptualizes. As the dialectic develops, Hegel’s conceptual scheme of reconciliation resolves itself into a distinctive perspectival way of interpreting the world: the confrontation between acting consciousness and judging consciousness. This paper attempts to explain how this perspective emerges in a theoretic fashion through which we can examine our own world of conflicts today.
집단따돌림의 직무태도에 대한 영향 및 자아존중감의 조절효과에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect on the moderating variable of corporate employees’ self esteem, mobbing and job attitude. For verification the purpose of this study established the variable as followings; First, the independence variable established the job related mobbing and the human related mobbing of employees. Second, the result variable established the turnover intention and the negative job attitude. Third, the modification variable established the self esteem of employees. To investigate the relationship, 160 corporate workers who had worked in Cheon Buk-province were studied. The results of this study were as follows: First, the level of employees’ mobbing is different as a personal characteristic. Second, as a result of regression analysis to find out positive effects of self esteem to job attitude and mobbing. third, it tested the negative influence of the employees’ mobbing on the employees’ job attitude, specially the effective of human related mobbing variable is hight level. 본 연구는 직장 내 집단따돌림이 근로자의 직무태도에 미치는 영향력을 분석하고 자아존중감의 조절효과를 검증하였다. 이를 위해 160명의 근로자를 대상으로 자료를 수집하였으며 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인적특성에 따른 분석으로서 성별과 직종만이 통계적인 유의성이 인정되지 않으며 집단따돌림에 대한 인식수준은 높게 나타나고 있다. 둘째, 인간관계 따돌림은 직무따돌림에 비해 근로자의 이직의도 및 비생산적 업무태도에 직접적인 영향을 미치고 있어 인간관계 따돌림이 부정적 직무태도의 직접적인 원인으로 볼 수 있다. 셋째, 집단따돌림과 이직의도 및 비생산적 업무행동에서 근로자의 자아존중감의 조절효과가 인정되고 있다. 따라서 높은 자아존중감의 근로자는 집단따돌림에 대한 대처능력이 높기 때문에 그들의 부정적 직무태도는 감소하는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 이러한 연구의 결과는 직장 내 집단따돌림의 중요성을 부각시켜 조직의 성과를 극대화하고, 근로자 개인의 정신 및 신체적 건강을 유지하기 위한 방안을 제시함으로서 효율적인 인적자원관리를 위한 자료로서 활용될 수 있을 것으로 본다.
Antecedents and consequence of emotional attachment in the casino industry

This study examined the significant role of customer orientation of service employees (COSE) in the relationship between casino players and casino dealers. Based on the existing theoretical background, it has been proposed that four types of COSE aid to form an emotional attachment to the casino dealers. In addition, it has been hypothesized that emotional attachment to the casino dealers positively affects loyalty. To achieve these purposes, a conceptual model was developed and assessed by using 480 actual casino players. The results of the data analysis showed that three types of COSE (i.e. technical skills, social skills, and decision-making authority) positively affect emotional attachment to casino dealers, which in turn has a positive influence on loyalty. Important theoretical and managerial implications are discussed in the last section of the article.
통일예술론으로 조망한 아서 단토의 ‘예술의 종말’ 이후의 예술

아서 단토는 일상의 사물이 예술작품으로 대두된 시점으로부터 미의 전형적 형식으로 파악될 수 있는 진화론적 예술사의 패러다임이 종식되고 다양한 의도 와 그에 대한 철학적 해석의 그물망 안에 예술의 본질이 놓이게 되었다고 진단 한다. 그는 이러한 현대예술의 흐름을 ‘예술의 종말’ 혹은 ‘역사 이후의 예술’이라 고 표현하였는데, 통일예술론의 관점에서 예술의 정의, 미의 역할, 기쁨과 닮음의 상관관계, 그리고 닮음에 있어서 성상, 형상의 상사성을 종합적으로 파악해 봤을 때 단토의 선언은 성상의 상사성에 집중하고 있는 현대예술의 맥락을 정확히 짚 어낸 결과라고 볼 수 있다. 통일예술론이 주창하는 ‘통일주의(Unificationism)’는 하나님의 심정(창조목적) 을 중심에 두고 예술의 이상주의와 현실주의의 수수작용을 통해 통일을 지향하 는 창작과 감상의 태도를 가리킨다. 이러한 통일주의를 토대로 본 논문은 단토가 말하는 예술의 종말 이후의 예술의 시대를 성상과 형상의 상사성을 매개하는 감 각적 표상이 사라진 자리에서 인간으로서의 자기정체성에 대한 깊은 질문을 던지는 시대라고 해석한다. 단토의 ‘예술의 종말’ 기획과 하나님의 심정을 자신의 근본 정체성으로 깨닫는 것을 지향하는 통일주의의 기획을 같은 지평에 두고 긍 정적인 관계 맺기를 시도하는 것이다. 통일주의의 관점에서 볼 때 ‘역사 이후의 예술’에 주어져 있는 과제는 예술의 자기정체성의 질문을 인간 자체에 대한 질문 으로 전환하고 이를 다시금 인간의 기원에 대한 자기물음으로 돌려 신-인 정체 성으로 재정립하는 것이다. 더 나아가 이러한 신-인 정체성을 기반으로 이상주 의와 현실주의가 혼재하는 다원주의적 흐름에 조화와 통일을 향한 의식을 함양 함으로써 예술의 통일성과 다양성의 균형을 맞추는 것이다. 이 두 가지 과제를 예술인들이 적극적으로 인식하고 실천할 때 현대예술의 위기는 기회로 전환될 수 있다고 본다. According to Arthur Danto, from the moment an ordinary thing in everyday life became an object of art the evolutionary history of art based on paradigmatic forms of beauty has ended and the essence of art has come to lie in the net of various intentions and their philosophical interpretations. He called this phenomenon of modern art ‘the end of art’ or the ‘post-historical era of art.’ In the perspective of Unification theory of art, especially concerning its definition of art, the role of beauty, the correlation of joy and resemblance, and resemblance in ‘Sungsang’ and ‘Hyungsang,’ Danto’s view can be interpreted to have precisely pointed out the context of modern art that focuses heavily on ‘resemblance in Sungsang.’ ‘Unificationism’ in the Unification theory of art refers to the attitude of artistic creation and appreciation that aims to unification through the give and receive action of idealism and realism centering on God’s Heart (the purpose of creation). Based on this unificationism, this paper interprets Danto’s art after the end of art as the era in which the fundamental question of human self-identity is raised at the place any sensual representations mediating resemblance in Sungsang and Hyungsang disappear. That is to say that Danto’s ‘end of art’ project and the project of unificationism pursuing the realization of God’s Heart as one’s fundamental identity are put together in the same horizon, thus forming a complementary relationship. In the perspective of unificationism, an important task given to the post-historical era of art is to transform the question of ‘what is art’ to the question of human identity, and to proceed to the extent of establishing a God-human identity by redirecting the question of human identity to the question of the origin of the human being. Another task is to make a balance between the nature of unification and the nature of plurality in art by cultivating a harmonious consciousness based on this God-human identity in the current context of pluralism in which idealism and realism are complicatedly mixed together. Once these two tasks are sincerely recognized and practiced by artists, the seemingly critical phase of the modern art will turn out to be a good opportunity for future.
