In this paper, we implement a digital multi-beamformer using FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array) which has advantages in parallel and real-time data processing. This is accomplished through the use of not only high-speed data communication but also multiple beam forming, which is currently required by MFR(Multi Function Radar). As a result, the beamformer can process 24 Gbps throughput in real-time and form 5 digital beams at the same time. It is also compared to the results of Matlab simulations. We demonstrate how an implemented beamformer can be used in an MFR system by using a digital array antenna.
수열 합성 및 박리에 의한 Mg/Al 층상 이중 수산화물의 종횡비 제어

Mg/Al layered double hydroxide with two-dimensional (2D) nanostructures was synthesized by a hydrothermaltechnique. The morphology and aspect ratio of Mg4Al2(OH)143H2O were controlled by the concentration and kinds of thehydrolysis agent, and temperature. The aspect ratio of Mg4Al2(OH)143H2O layered double hydroxides with the 2D hexagonalcrystal structure was tailored from about 12.6 to about 45.7. The intercalated CO32- anions of the synthesized 2DMg4Al2(OH)143H2O layered double hydroxides were exchanged to NO3- anions. The bulk 2D Mg4Al2(OH)143H2O layereddouble hydroxides with the increased space between two layers due to the anion exchange were exfoliated in a formamidesolution. The aspect ratio of the exfoliated 2D Mg4Al2(OH)143H2O layered double hydroxides increased to 570.3. 2 차원 나노 구조를 갖는 Mg / Al 층상 이중 수산화물을 수열합성 기술로 제작하였다. Mg4Al2(OH)143H2O의 형태 및 종횡비는 가수 분해제의 농도와 종류(Urea 및 Hexamethylenetetramine (HMTA)) 및 온도에 의해 조절되었다. 수열합성된 박리 전/후 Mg4Al2(OH)143H2O의 형상 및 결정질 분석을 위해서 SEM, XRD 장비를 사용하였고 AFM 장비를 사용하여 표면상태 및 두께를 분석하였다. Urea 및 HMTA를 통해 합성된 2차원 육방 결정 구조를 갖는 Mg4Al2(OH)143H2O 층상 이중 수산화물의 종횡비는 각각 약 12.6 및 45.7로 확인되었다. 합성된 2차원 Mg4Al2(OH)143H2O 층상 이중 수산화물의 층간에 존재하는 CO32- 이온을 NO3- 이온으로 교환하였다. 음이온 교환으로 인한 두 층 사이의 증가 된 공간을 갖는 벌크 2차원 Mg4Al2(OH)143H2O 층상 이중 수산화물을 포름아미드 용액에서 박리시켰다. 박리 된 2차원 Mg4Al2(OH)143H2O 층상 이중 수산화물의 종횡비는 570.3으로 증가 하였다.

Exosomal microRNAs as diagnostic and therapeutic biomarkers in non-malignant liver diseases

The liver is a vital organ responsible for variousphysiological functions, such as metabolism, immuneresponse, digestion, and detoxifi cation. Crosstalk betweenhepatocytes, hepatic macrophages, and hepatic stellate cellsis critical for liver pathology. Exosomes are small extracellularvesicles (50–150 nm) that play an important role incell–cell or organ–organ communication as they transfertheir cargo, such as protein, DNA, and RNA to recipientcells or distant organs. In various liver diseases, the numberof liver cell-derived exosomes is increased and the exosomalmicroRNA (miRNA) profi le is altered. Early studies investigatedthe value of circulating exosomal miRNAs as biomarkers. Several exosomal miRNAs showed excellent diagnosticvalues, suggesting their potential as diagnostic biomarkersin liver diseases. Exosomal miRNAs have emerged ascritical regulators of liver pathology because they controlthe expression of multiple genes in recipient cells. In thisreview, we discuss the biology of exosomes and summarizethe recent fi ndings of exosome-mediated intercellularand organ-to-organ communication during liver pathology. As there are many review articles dealing with exosomalmiRNAs in liver cancer, we focused on non-malignant liverdiseases. The therapeutic potential of exosomal miRNAs inliver pathology is also highlighted.
ZnO 나노 막대 성장을 위한 기판층으로서 hexagonal β상 Ni(OH)<sub>2</sub> 나노 시트 합성 및 미세구조 분석

As a growth-template of ZnO nanorods (NR), a hexagonal $\beta-Ni(OH)_2$ nanosheet (NS) was synthesized with the low temperature hydrothermal process and its microstructure was investigated using a high resolution scanning electron microscope and transmission electron microscope. Zinc nitrate hexahydrate was hydrolyzed by hexamethylenetetramine with the same mole ratio and various temperatures, growth times and total concentrations. The optimum hydrothermal processing condition for the best crystallinity of hexagonal $\beta-Ni(OH)_2$ NS was determined to be with 3.5 mM at $95^{\circ}C$ for 2 h. The prepared $Ni(OH)_2$ NSs were two dimensionally arrayed on a substrate using an air-water interface tapping method, and the quality of the array was evaluated using an X-ray diffractometer. Because of the similarity of the lattice parameter of the (0001) plane between ZnO (wurzite a = 0.325 nm, c = 0.521 nm) and hexagonal $\beta-Ni(OH)_2$ (brucite a = 0.313 nm, c = 0.461 nm) on the synthesized hexagonal $\beta-Ni(OH)_2$ NS, ZnO NRs were successfully grown without seeds. At 35 mM of divalent Zn ion, the entire hexagonal $\beta-Ni(OH)_2$ NSs were covered with ZnO NRs, and this result implies the possibility that ZnO NR can be grown epitaxially on hexagonal $\beta-Ni(OH)_2$ NS by a soluble process. After the thermal annealing process, $\beta-Ni(OH)_2$ changed into NiO, which has the property of a p-type semiconductor, and then ZnO and NiO formed a p-n junction for a large area light emitting diode.
