Currently, off-site dose calculations for nuclear power plants are conducted using a computer program (K-DOSE 60). The program is developed based on the regulatory guidelines of the Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety (KINS), which is a domestic nuclear regulatory agency. In this study, a domestic application of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) TRS (Technical Reports Series)-472 methodology for 3 H and 14C in liquid effluents was studied. The dose-evaluation methods adopted and the program configuration for dose evaluation are described based on 3 H and 14C in the liquid-effluent-evaluation module of the computer program. The accuracy of the program is verified by comparing the program-calculated results with hand calculation values. Furthermore, a comparative evaluation with LADTAP II, which is a liquid-effluent-evaluation methodology developed by the U.S. NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission), is performed. The result confirms that the program-calculated results for the IAEA TRS-472 methodology are consistent with the hand calculation values. Meanwhile, the result of comparative evaluation with LADTAP II indicates different results depending on the methodology used.
Chemical vapor sensing properties of graphene based on geometrical evaluation

Graphene is a promising candidate for chemical vapor sensing.We prepared graphene sheets from highly oriented pyrolytic graphite through mechanical cleavage in order to investigate their responses to NH3and NO2 as electron donors and acceptors, respectively. We investigated how the geometric characteristics of graphene, such as length-to-width (L/w) ratio and number of layers, affect chemical sensing properties at room temperature and ambient atmosphere. In this study, the L/w ratio of an individual graphene sheet, which is related to graphene conductivity, dominated the NH3 sensing characteristics,while the number of graphene layers had no significant effect. We also studied the effects of various thermal treatments on graphene sensitivity and recovery time in an ambient atmosphere. This study confirms the effects of geometry, operation temperature and gas concentration on the NH3 and NO2sensing performances of graphene.

The origin of ‘tal’ and ‘omote’ derives from religious rituals, thereby contains a goal within itself, the pursuit of the divinity, and the heteromorphic facial expressions, the fruit of such an attempt. It is a means to visualize supernatural forces, hence the heteromorphic appearances. By successfully conveying such intention, it could equivocally represent secular humane attributes along with divine aspects. This paper will discuss the mask of a piteous old lady who had been abandoned by her family and is leaning towards death away from life. Both masks have distinctive faces unidentifiable as normal, human facial expressions. It is thought to be the result of visualized cogitation to portray secular and divine worlds simultaneously, as well as its religious and shamanistic roots.
