가상화 환경에서 임베디드 시스템을 위한 모니터링 프레임워크와 디버깅 시스템

효과적인 모니터링은 시스템을 진단하여 안정성을 향상시킨다. 하지만 타겟 시스템이 고장나거나 모니터링 시스템이 악의적인 공격을 당하면 신뢰성 있는 모니터링을 할 수 없다. 본 논문에서는 가상화를 이용하여 타겟 시스템이 고장나도 지속적인 모니터링이 가능한 시스템을 구현하고 해당 프레임워크를 제안한다. 제안한 프레임워크는 동적 바이너리 계측을 이용하였고, 하이퍼바이저 계층에서 해당 작업을 수행하기 때문에 상위에 있는 운영체제 종류에 상관없이 사용가능한 유연성과 격리성으로 시스템의 안정성을 보장한다. 또한 특별한 디버깅 장비가 필요 없기 때문에 모니터링 비용 면에서 이점을 가져올 수 있다. 본 프레임워크의 소개와 함께 이를 사용한 디버깅 기능을 소개한다. 모니터링 시스템으로 인한 오버헤드를 알기 위해 연산 성능, 메모리 성능, 메모리 대역폭을 측정하였으며 메모리 성능에서 추가 오버헤드가 2% 발생했다. Effective profiling diagnoses the failure of the system and informs risk. If a failure in the target system occurs, it is impossible to diagnose more than one of the exiting tools. In this respect, monitoring of the system based on virtualization is useful. We present in this paper a monitoring framework that uses the characteristics of hardware virtualization to prevent side-effects from a target guest, and uses dynamic binary instrumentation with instruction-level trapping based on hardware virtualization to achieve efficiency and flexibility. We also present examples of some applications that use this framework. The framework provides tracing of guest kernel function, memory dump, and debugging that uses GDB stub with GDB remote protocol. The experimental evaluation of our prototype shows that the monitoring framework incurs at most 2% write memory performance overhead for end users.

This paper describes a method that is integrated trace for real-time virtualization environment. This method has solved the problem that the performance trace may not be able to analyze integrated method between heterogeneous operating systems which is consists of real-time operating systems and general-purpose operating system. In order to solve this problem, we have attempted to reuse the performance analysis function in general-purpose operating system, thereby real-time operating systems can be analyzed along with general-operating system. Furthermore, we have implemented a prototype based on ARM Cortex-A15 dual-core processor. By using this integrated trace method, real-time system developers can be improved productivity and reliability of results on real-time virtualization environment.
카나다산 채종박의 사료적 가치에 관한 연구 3 . 채종박을 급여한 부로일러와 산란계에 있어서 갑상선과 간의 조직학적 변화

Histological changes in the thyroid and the liver of broiler chicks and laying hens fed Canadian rapeseed meal(RSM) were observed and following conclusions were made. 1. Grossly, no pathological changes were noticed in the thyroid of broiler chicks and laying hens. In broiler chicks. the liver was slightly paler in color in 12% rapeseed meal fed group. The liver of laying hens fed rapeseed meal for 24 weeks was slightly paler in color both in. 9% and 12% group, and the discoloration was also noticed in 6% group fed for 36 weeks. 2. No histological changes were observed in the thyroid of broiler chicks and laying hens fed rapeseed meal up to 12%. 3. Fatty changes in the liver of broiler chickes fed high level of rapeseed meal were milder in the group substituted for fish meal compared with the group substituted for soybean meal. 4. Fatty liver syndrom of laying hens were more severe in the group fed rapeseed meal for prolonged duration. It should be noted that 12layer were dead due mainly to the liver hemorrhage associated with fatty liver syndrome. It appears that the goitrogenous compound in Canadian rapeseed meal has nearly all eliminated through RSM breeding effort. However, a very little amount of certain compound that disturbs normal fat metabolism in the liver occurs in the rapeseed meal.
사료지방의 P S 비율이 흰쥐의 혈장콜레스테롤 및 지단백에 미치는 영향

This experiment was designed to study the effects of dietary P/S ratio on plasma cholesterol concentration and lipoprotein profile in the rats. Six groups of male Wistar rats weighing about 202g of average were fed for 4 wks the experimental diets providing various P/S ratios of 0.05, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0. Changes in the plasma total- and HDL-cholesterol levels and lipoprotein profiles were determined at the end of the 2nd and 4th wks of experimental period. When dietary P/S ratio was raised, plasma total - and HDL-cholesterol concentrations were significantly increased (p$lt;0.05) at 2 wk, but decreased at 4th wk (p$lt;0.05), as would be expected. The ratios HDL-pholesterol to total-cholesterol did not exhibit any differences among the experimental groups. The percentiles of HDL-fraction were significantly (p$lt;0.05 or p$lt;0.01, respectively) reduced with the raised P/S ratio at 2 wk. However, at 4 wk there were no consistent responses to the change in the P/S ratio. Plasma total-cholesterol level was correlated significantly with HDL-cholesterol at both 2 wk (r=0.86, p$lt;0.001) and 4 wk (r = 0.89, p$lt;0.001). And plasma total -- and HDL-cholesterol were positively correlated with HDL fraction while negatively correlated with LDL or VLDL fractions in general., However, the results at 4 wk also suggested that the change in circulating cholesterol level was not correlated with the change in lipoprotein fraction.
비휘발성 메모리 기반 캐시의 쓰기 작업 최적화를 위한 캐시 시뮬레이터 설계

Nonvolatile memory (NVM) is being considered as an alternative of traditional memory devices such as SRAM and DRAM, which suffer from various limitations due to the technology scaling of modern integrated circuits. Although NVMs have advantages including nonvolatility, low leakage current, and high density, their inferior write performance in terms of energy and endurance becomes a major challenge to the successful design of NVM-based memory systems. In order to overcome the aforementioned drawback of the NVM, extensive research is required to develop energy- and endurance-aware optimization techniques for NVM-based memory systems. However, researchers have experienced difficulty in finding a suitable simulation tool to prototype and evaluate new NVM optimization schemes because existing simulation tools do not consider the feature of NVM devices. In this article, we introduce a NVM-based cache simulator to support rapid prototyping and evaluation of NVM-based caches, as well as energy- and endurance-aware NVM cache optimization schemes. We demonstrate that the proposed NVM cache simulator can easily prototype PRAM cache and PRAM+STT-RAM hybrid cache as well as evaluate various write traffic reduction schemes and wear leveling schemes.
