Super Resolution을 활용한 위성 영상의 표적 탐지 성능 분석

The images obtained from low-altitude cluster satellites suffers from lower quality and resolution compared to those acquiredfrom satellites positioned in medium or geostationary orbits, leading to reduced efficiency in surveillance and reconnaissance. Thispaper proposes a method that enhances the quality of low-resolution satellite imagery by employing Super-Resolution (SR)technology and subsequently improves detection performance by identifying targets within the enhanced imagery. The experimentsanalyze the performance of various SR neural networks concerning satellite images and demonstrated that by integrating variousSR neural networks with the prominent detection neural network, Rotated RetinaNet, it is possible to enhance detectionperformance. This combination of SR neural network and established detection framework leads to improvements in the overallaccuracy and reliability of surveillance and reconnaissance.

Echocardiographic parameters can predict cardiovascular events in several clinical settings. However, which echocardiographic parameter is most predictive of each cardiovascular ornon-cardiovascular event in patients starting hemodialysis remains unresolved. Echocardiography was used in 189 patients at the time of starting hemodialysis. Weestablished primary outcomes as follows: cardiovascular events (ischemic heart disease,cerebrovascular disease, peripheral artery disease, and acute heart failure), fatal noncardiovascularevents, all-cause mortality, and all combined events. The most predictableechocardiographic parameter was determined in the Cox hazard ratio model with abackward selection after the adjustment of multiple covariates. Among severalechocardiographic parameters, the E/e’ ratio and the left ventricular end-diastolic volume(LVEDV) were the strongest predictors of cardiovascular and non-cardiovascular events,respectively. After the adjustment of clinical and biochemical covariates, the predictabilityof E/e’ remained consistent, but LVEDV did not. When clinical events were furtheranalyzed, the significant echocardiographic parameters were as follows: s’ for ischemicheart disease and peripheral artery disease, LVEDV and E/e’ for acute heart failure, and E/e’for all-cause mortality and all combined events. However, no echocardiographic parameterindependently predicted cerebrovascular disease or non-cardiovascular events. Inconclusion, E/e’, s’, and LVEDV have independent predictive values for severalcardiovascular and mortality events.
농촌 낙후마을 지수 개발 방법론 : 충청남도 농촌 마을을 사례지역으로

There are concerns about the disappearance of the provinces due to the depopulation drain and aging. These phenomena are particularly serious in rural areas, and thus it is urgent to prepare policies for them. The lowest unit inhabited by residents in rural areas is the village, and it is expected that the village will disappear before the province become extinct. Therefore, this study developed indice of deprivation using the results of previous studies and the indice was investigated through expert surveys on the population, economy, and environment sectors. Using indice of deprivation, the backwardness degree of rural villages was classified into three categories: deprived villages, normal villages, and developed villages. In addition, the demographic, economic, and environmental characteristics of the deprived villages were analyzed in detail. In conclusion, this study presented the current status of rural villages facing extinction through objective indicator, indices of deprivation, and can be used to set the direction of future rural development projects. 현재 우리나라는 지방의 소멸이 거론될 정도로 지역 인구의 과소화・고령화가 심화되어 가고 있다. 이러한 고령화・과소화는 지방 중에서도 특히 농촌지역에서 심각하게 발생하고 있는 현상으로 이에 대한 정책대안이 시급한 실정이다. 농촌지역에서도 주민이 거주하는 최하위 단위는 마을로 지방소멸 전 마을의 소멸이 우선되어질 것이다. 이에 본 연구는 선행연구를 바탕으로 전문가 설문을 통해 인구, 경제, 환경 부문에서의 지표를 선정하고 지표를 활용한 낙후종합지수를 개발하였다. 낙후종합지수를 활용하여 농촌마을의 낙후정도를 바탕으로 낙후마을, 일반마을, 발전마을로 분류하였다. 또한, 낙후마을의 세부적인인구, 경제, 환경적 특성에 대해 분석하여 제시하였다. 지방소멸의 최전선에 위치하고 있는 농촌마을의 현황에 대한 객관적 수치를 제시한 본 연구의 결과는 향후 농촌지역개발사업의 새로운 방향 설정에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.
Change in Body Compositions of Asian Recipients after Kidney Transplantation

Kidney transplantation and accompanying medical conditions may result in changes in body composition. Such changes have been evaluated in Caucasian recipients, but not in Asian recipients. Herein, we conducted a study on Asian recipients because Asians have a different body composition from Caucasians. A total of 50 Asian recipients was enrolled as a prospective cohort. Using bioelectrical impedance analysis, body composition (muscle and fat mass) was assessed after 2 weeks (baseline), and at 1, 3, 6, 9, and 12 months following kidney transplantation. To find predictors related to changes, the data were analyzed by multivariate analysis using forward selection. All of the patients had good graft function during the study period. Patients gained approximately 3 kg within 1 yr of kidney transplantation. The proportion of muscle mass significantly decreased (Ptrend = 0.001) and the proportion of fat mass significantly increased over time (Ptrend = 0.002). The multivariate results revealed that male recipients, deceased donor type, and low protein intake were associated with an increase in fat mass and a decrease in muscle mass. The results from this study may help to investigate differences in body composition changes between races, as well as the factors related to these changes.
Analysis of the Derivative Coupling Vector for the $1,2^2$ A' States of $H_3$

Near the conical intersection for the 1,2 $^{2}A'$ states of $H_3$ the derivative coupling vector is calculated and analyzed on the plane of internal coordinates, (U,V) or its polar coordinates $(S{\theta})$, based on the squares of the internuclear distances. It is shown that in the vicinity of the conical intersection the derivative coupling vector behaves like ${\theta}/2S$, which is responsible for the sign changes of the real-valued electronic wave function when the nuclear configuration traverses a closed path enclosing a conical intersection. The analytic property of the wave functions is studied and especially the observation of the sign change in the configuration state function (CSF) coefficients of the real-valued electronic wave functions is demonstrated.
