        Fatal Facial Mucormycosis on a Diabetic Patient: A Case Report

        Purpose: Mucormycosis generally occurs in patients with uncontrolled diabetes mellitus and immunocompromised conditions. It is rare, but once a patient is infected with it, it can occur as a rapidly extending, aggressive, and life-threatening rhinocerebral infection with a high mortality rate. Methods: A 70-year-old female patient had a 40 years of history of adult onset diabetes mellitus. She presented herself with severe right hemifacial pain, swelling, and weakness for 3 days and was admitted to ENT. On a facial computed tomography (CT) scan, it was found that her infection extended from her inferior temporal scalp to her submental area and involved her submandibular, masseter, prevertebral, parapharyngeal, retropharyngeal, and pharyngeal mucosal space and pansinusitis. Through endoscopic sinus surgery, mucormycosis was confirmed via histologic examination. Results: Despite empiric antibiotics and amphotericin B administration, the patient was in a septic condition and in a coma. The patient's family wanted to withdraw her life support, and the patient expired. Conclusion: Mucormycosis is very rare, but is one of the disastrous complications of uncontrolled diabetes mellitus. Suspicion of its occurrence, based on identified risk factors, and its rapid diagnosis can enhance the chance of its cure.

        도심지역 노인복지시설 실내 환경에 대한 RF 전자파 노출량의 정성.정량 평가에 관한 연구

        In this study in order to evaluate the growth of RF propagation exposure rate generated according to the enhancement of its use, it is proposed for the ground to be able to examine and to contemplate the correlation between the human health and RF propagation exposure rate by measuring and analyzing the RF exposure source and exposure rate in an indoor environment. As a result of research, it is analyzed that the main exposure source of critically making effect in indoor environment is the frequency hand if radio broadcasting, mobile communication, wireless LAN, digital broadcasting, home appliance, etc., including the TV broadcasting. Among these, it is shown that the TV broadcasting and mobile communication band are the highest. And it is the concluded that RF exposure rate of the environmental sensitive equipment, like an institution for the aged, has lower possibility to exceed the human RF protection criteria by this evaluation.

      • 충격손상을 받은 항공기용 복합재료의 잔류강도 변화에 따른 피로수명 특성 평가

        섬유강화 복합재료는 비강도, 비강성 등의 우수한 기계적 성질로 인하여 경량화가 요구되는 항공우주분야를 중심으로 그 사용이 급격하게 증가되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 분야에 사용되는 복합재료는 두께방향의 강도가 부족한 구조적 특성 때문에 외부 물체의 충돌로 인한 충격에 의한 영향이 크며 또한 이러한 손상이 발생한 상태에서 계속되는 운항에 의하여 피로하중을 받게 된다. 충격손상을 받은 복합재료에 피로하중이 작용할 경우 잔류강도의 저하에 따라 피로수명은 현저히 감소되지만 피로수명에 미치는 충격손상의 영향과, 이를 고려한 피로수명 예측모델은 그 중요성에도 불구하고 명확하게 제시되지 못하고 있는 실정이다 따라서 본 연구에서는 충격손상을 받은 복합재료의 피로수명을 평가할 수 있는 기존의 수명예측 모델을 검토한 후, 잔류강도변화에 따른 피로수명의 변화를 검토하고자 한다. As fiber strengthening composite material makes aerospace field that light finishing material by excellent mechanical properties of strength to weight ratio, nasal cavity gender etc.. is required the center, the use is increased sharply. But, because of structural special quality that composite material that is used in these field lacks strength of thickness direction, when damage that effect by impact by collision of outside object is big and also is such happens, receive fatigue load by continued service. In case of fatigue load interacts to composite material that receive impact damage, fatigue life is reduced remarkably according to decline of retained strength, but it is real condition that fatigue life estimate model who consider effect of impact damage and this getting in fatigue life is not presented definitely in spite of the importance. Therefore, in this research, 1 wish to verify through fatigue test after examine fatigue life estimate model who can estimate given amplitude load trousers fatigue life to composite material that receive impact damage. Also, I wish to examine change of fatigue life by change of retained strength after impact.

        천일염산업의 경제적 파급효과 비교분석 - 2005년에 대한 2010년의 비교 -

        본 연구는 산업연관표를 이용하여 현재 천일염산업이 가지는 경제적 영향력과 2005기준년에 비해 어떠한 변화가 있었는지를 살펴보는 데 있다. 따라서 산업연관표를 이용한 투입-산출분석을 통해 천일염산업의 생산유발효과, 부가가치유발효과, 노동 및 취업유발효과, 전후방연관효과를 비교ㆍ분석하였다. 천일염산업의 경제적 파급효과를 분석한 결과와 분석의 한계점은다음과 같다. 첫째, 생산유발효과를 분석한 결과 천일염산업이 각 산업부문에 유발하는 효과는 천일염산업 1.000007원, 운송서비스 0.069396원, 석탄 및 석유제품 0.053911, 기타 제조업제품 및 임가공 0.050030원, 화학제품 0.041790원 순으로 나타났으며 전 산업에 걸쳐서 1.607079원이었다. 이는 천일염산업의 생산파급효과가 산출액 1원의 생산 증가 시 약 1.61배의 생산유발효과를 가져온다. 이는 타 산업부문에 비해 낮은 편에 속한다. 둘째, 천일염산업의 부가가치유발효과를 보면 생산물 1단위당 0.900905의 부가가치를 유발하여 전 산업부문에서 세 번째로 높게 나타났다. 또한 항목별로 보면 피용자보수0.606224(67.3%), 영업잉여 0.195780(21.6%)로 피용자의 보수가 상대적으로 높기 때문으로, 지역경제의 소득창출에 기여하는 바가 크다고 볼 수 있다. 셋째, 천일염산업의 전방연관효과는 0.521596으로 가장 낮게 분석되었으며 후방연관효과도 0.748435로 하위에 속한다. 이는 천일염이 민간소비 등의 최종수요 비중이 상대적으로 높고, 원재료 성격의 1차 산업이기 때문인 것으로 보인다. 넷째, 천일염산업의 취업유발효과는 10억원 당 31.95명으로 두 번째로 높게 나타났으며 노동유발효과도 16.97명으로 두 번째로 아주 높게 분석되었다. 실증분석 결과를 종합해 보면 천일염산업은 생산유발효과가 비교적 낮지만 2005년에 비해9.52%가 증가하였다. 이에 반해 부가가치유발효과는 매우 높은 수준을 나타내고 있으나 2005기준년에 비해 4.32% 감소하였다. 취업 및 고용유발효과는 타 산업부문에 비해 매우 높았으며 2005년에 비해 취업유발효과는 10.32%가 감소한 반면, 고용유발효과는 30.59%가 증가하였다. 이는 천일염산업의 생산이 소규모 영세적 자영업에서 대규모 기업적 특징이 강화되고 있다고 추정된다. 이러한 변화는 고용창출과 지역주민의 소득증대에 기여하는 바가 크다고 할 수 있다. This study aims to investigate the current economic influence of the solar salt industry and any change compared to the base year of 2005, by using the input-output table. A comparative analysis was conducted on the production inducement effect, value added inducement effect, labor and employment inducement effect, and forward backward linkage effect through the analysis of input-out table. The results of this analysis on the economic ripple effect of the solar salt industry and the limit of this analysis are as follows; First, according to the analysis of the production inducement effect, it showed that the inducement effect of the solar salt industry was 1.000007 won, transportation services 0.069396 won, coal and petroleum products 0.053911 won, other manufactured goods and toll processing 0.050030 won, and chemical products 0.041790 won, which amounted to 1.607079 won in total throughout the whole industry. Production ripple effect of the solar salt industry creates about 1.61 times of production inducement effect in the case of production increase by 1 won yield. This is rather lower than other industry sectors. Second, if we look into the value added inducement effect of the solar salt industry, it induced 0.900905 per product unit, which is 3rd place of the whole industry. If we look into item by item, the employee income was 0.606224 (67.3%) while the operating surplus was 0.195780 (21.6%); and the employee income was relatively higher. Thus, it seemed to make a great contribution to the income creation of the regional economy. Third, the forward linkage effect of the solar salt industry recorded to be the lowest (0.521596), and the backward linkage effect also belonged to the lower part( 0.748435). This is probably due to the fact that the final demand ratio of private consumption for solar salt was relatively high, and that the solar salt industry is the primary industry of raw material. Fourth, the analysis showed that the employment inducement effect of the solar salt industry was 2nd highest with 31.95 men per 1 billion won, and the labor inducement effect was also the 2nd highest with 16.97 men. The comprehensive result of the empirical analysis revealed that the production inducement effect of the solar salt industry was relatively low, but increased by 9.52% compared to 2005. On the contrary, the value added inducement effect was very high but decreased by 4.32% compared to the 2005 base year. Labor and employment inducement effect was much higher than that of other industrial sectors, and the labor inducement effect decreased by 10.32% compared to 2005, but the employment inducement effect increased by 30.59%. This indicates a change in the production of solar salt industry. Large business characteristics are presumed to be strengthened in small private businesses. In addition, it plays a large role in employment creation and the income increase of local residents.

        Modern people are exposed to close-range tasks such as frequent computer and mobile phone usage habits. Long-term close-range work can cause symptoms such as headache, stable fatigue, decreased concentration, and eye problems. Heterophoria is divided into esophoria and exporia, which are usually attributed to poor convergence and divergence. The purpose of this study is to manufacture rehabilitation equipment using a Cover test for heterophoria patients. Focusing on portability and convenience, It is designed that a goggle type instrument that can conduct heterophoria inspection and rehabilitation by moving the visual target left and right through the control board and servomotor.

        The mechanics of woven fabric-based laminated composites is complex. Then, many researchers have studied woven fabric CFRP materials but fracture resistance behaviors for composites have not been still standardized. Also, it shows the different behavior according to load and fiber direction. Therefore, there is a need to consider fracture resistance behavior in conformity with load, fiber direction at designing structure using woven CFRP materials. In this study, therefore, the fracture strength and resistance for plain-weave CFRP composite materials was investigated under various different angle condition(load to fiber angle: 0°, 15°, 30°, 45°). All of tests of fracture strength and resistance were carried out under mode I transverse crack opening load by using compact tension specimens.

      • Vterbi decoding을 적용한 UWB 시스템이 성능분석

        본 논문에서는 고속 데이터 전송을 위한 UWB 시스템에 BPSK(Binary Phase Shift Keying)와 QPSK(Quadrature Phase Shift Keying)의 변조 방식을 적용하고 고속 전송으로 발생 할 수 있는 높은 에러율을 감소시키기 위해 부호율(code rate)이 1/2이고 구속장(constraint length)이 K=7인 convolution code를 적용하였다. 그리고 다중사용자의 접속으로 인하여 발생 할 수 있는 다중사용자 간섭을 고려하여 Time-hopping sequence를 적용하였으며, 수신단에서 viterbi decodig 알고리즘을 사용하여 수신된 신호를 복호함으로서 AWGN(Additive White Gaussian Noise) channel 환경에서의 UWB 통신 시스템의 성능변화를 분석하였다. In this paper, the UWB(ultra widebend) system is used for high speed transmission applying BPSK(Binary Phase Shift Keying) and QPSK(Quadrature Phase Shift Keying), and utilizing the convolution coding with code rate, 1/2 and constraint length, K=7 in order to reduce the bit error rate. And the performance of system is analyzed in the AWGN(Additive White Gaussian Noise) channel environment by using the Viterbi decoding algorithm and adopting the time-hopping sequence as a multiple access method in order to avoid the multiuser interference.

      • STBC - OFDM과 주파수 다이버시티를 적용한 UWB 시스템이 성능분석

        본 논문에서는 시공간 다이버시티 이득을 갖는 STBC를 UWB 시스템에 적용하고 4차의 다이버시티 이득을 얻기 위해 주파수 반복을 하는 주파수 다이버시티를 적용함으로써 UWB OFDM의 성능을 향상시킬 수 있는 방법을 제안하였다. 그리고 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통한 모의실험으로 제안 하고자하는 시스템의 주파수 다이버시티를 적용한 UWB STBC-OFDM의 성능을 분석하였다. 분석한 결과 본 논문에서 제안한 UWB 시스템은 송신안테나의 증가에 따라 발생하는 복잡도를 줄일 수 있으며, 2개의 송신 안테나만을 사용하고도 주파수 반복에 의한 선형적인 계산만으로 4개의 송신 안테나를 사용하는 것과 같은 성능을 얻을 수 있었다. 제안된 시스템은 일반적인 UWB OFDM과 비교 하면 7.1 ㏈, UWB STBC-OFDM과 비교하면 1.9 ㏈의 성능이 향상되는 것으로 분석되었다. In this paper, STBC (Space Time Block Code) is applied to the UWB system and frequency repeated diversity is used to get the 4-th order space time diversity gain. The performance of UWB STDB-OFDM system is analyzed by computer simulation. As a result of simulation, proposed UWB system can reduce the complexity that is introduced by increasing number of transmit antenna and show the same performance of 4 antennas with only using 2. Proposed system shows the enhancement of 7.1 dB compared to the general UWB OFDM and 1.9 dB compared to UWB STBC-OFDM.

        확률밀도함수를 이용한 상수도 실 배관의 피로수명 특성 평가

        The fatigue characteristics of a material or a structure are generally derived from fatigue tests of standard specimens. However, test results of standard specimens are different from those of real structures or components. Therefore, to calculate more accurate fatigue life, the geometrical effect and surface condition must be considered by comparing test results of standard specimens with those of real structures or components. Thus the object of this paper is to evaluate the fatigue characteristics of a real waterwork pipe. Also, to evaluate fatigue characteristic based on life distribution, the statistical fatigue characteristics were analyzed by the normal distribution and related data of P-S-N curve.
