This study investigates an economic and highly efficient power-converter topology and its modulation scheme for 60 kW rapid EV charger system. The target system is a three-phase three-switch buck-type rectifier topology. A new carrier-based PWM scheme, which is characterized by simple implementation using logic gates, is introduced in this paper. This PWM scheme replaces the diode rectifier equivalent switching state with an active switching state to produce the same effective current flowing path. As a result, the distortion of input current during the polarity reversal of capacitor line voltage can be mitigated. The proposed modulation technique is confirmed through simulation verification. The proposed modulation technique and its implementation scheme can expand the operation range of the three-phase three-switch buck-type rectifier with high-quality AC input and capacitor ripple current.

This study proposes a current source-type pulse generator to improve output voltage and current waveforms under a capacitively coupled plasma (CCP) system. The proposed circuit comprises two parallel-connected current source-type converters. These converters can satisfy the required output waveforms of plasma processing. The parallel-connected converters operate without reverse current fault by applying a time-delay control technique. Conventional voltage source converters based on pulse power supply exhibit drawbacks in short-circuit current, and problems occur when they are applied to a CCP system. The proposed pulse power supply based on a current source converter fundamentally solves the short-circuit current problem. Therefore, this topology can improve the voltage and current accuracy of a CCP system.

This paper proposes a three-phase three-switch buck-type converter as the MSC of a wind turbine system. Owing to a novel switching modulation scheme that can eliminate the unwanted diode rectifier mode switching state, the proposed system exhibits a satisfying ac voltage and current waveform quality and torque ripple up to the level of a typical current source rectifier even under a wide power factor operating range. The proposed system has been verified through simulations and HILS tests on a PMSG wind turbine model of 5MW/4160V. The proposed converter has been shown to provide a stator current THD of 3.9% and a torque ripple of 1% under the rated power condition. In addition to the inherent advantage of the reduced switch count of three-phase three-switch buck-type converters, the proposed switching modulation technique can make this converter a viable solution for the MSC placed inside of a nacelle, which is under severe volume, weight and mechanical vibration design limits.
시계열 예측 모델을 이용한 식물생장 환경에서의 LED 수명예측 방안

As interest in the smart farming market increases, various academic approaches arebeing attempted to predict the lifespan of LEDs that supply light for plant growth,but the experimental method is complicated and the time and cost are quiteexpensive, so it is difficult to apply to smart farm environment that requiresreal-time management. This paper shows the illuminance and PPFD(PhotosyntheticPhoton Flux Density) data necessary for plant growth using a spectrophotometerand uses the ARIMA(Auto-regressive Integrated Moving Average) model, which isone of the time series prediction approaches, to collect the data accumulated after acertain period of time in the future. By estimating the data of the LED, we proposea method to predict the lifespan of the LEDs with less time and cost. Finally, basedon the data calculated as an approximate equation representing the temporal changeof light output in the LED degradation model, the predicted data is compared andanalyzed using the ARIMA model. 스마트팜 시장의 관심이 증가함에 따라 식물생장에 필요한 빛을 공급하는 LED의 수명예측을 위해 다양한 학문적 접근이 시도되고 있으나 실험 방법이 복잡하고 소요 시간과 비용이상당히 높아 실시간 관리가 필요한 스마트팜 환경에 적용하기 어려운 문제를 가지고 있다. 본 논문은 분광조도계를 이용하여 식물생장에 필요한 조도와 광합성유효량 광량자속밀도 데이터를 수집하고 일정기간 이후 누적된 데이터를 시계열 예측 접근 방법 하나인 ARIMA(자동회귀누적이동평균) 모델을 활용하여 미래 시점의 데이터를 예상함으로써 적은 시간과 비용으로 LED의 수명을 예측할 수 있는 방안을 제시한다. 마지막으로, LED 열화모델에서 광출력의 시간변화를 나타내는 근사식으로 산출한 데이터를 기반으로 ARIMA 모델을 활용하여 예측된 데이터를 비교 분석한다.
