A new double cropping potato cultivar ‘Goun’ was developed by Highland Agriculture Research Center, National Institute of Crop Science (NICS), RDA in 2007. This cultivar was obtained from the cross between ‘Chubaek’ and ‘Lemhi russet’in 1998. The seedling and line selections were performed from 1999 to 2000, preliminary and advanced yield trials were carried out from 2001 to 2004, and the regional yield trials were conducted at three locations from 2005 to 2006. ‘Goun’ has white flower, green wide leaflet and petiole, short oval tuber with beige skin and white flesh. This cultivar has mid resistance to common scab and potato leaf roll virus. The dry matter content were 20.4 and 21.4% in spring and autumn season, respectively,which were similar with those of ‘Atlantic’ and higher than ‘Dejima’. Also, the potato chip color of ‘Goun’ was similar with that of ‘Atlantic’ in spring and autumn season. The dormancy of ‘Goun’ was 60~70 days after harvest, which was 5~10 days longer than ‘Dejima’. The average yield of tubers in spring and autumn season were 33.2 and 26.3 ton/ha in the regional yield trials, which were 13% and 14% lower in spring and autumn season, respectively compared to ‘Dejima’. ’Goun’ can be used for the potato chip processing and table stock after autumn cultivation in potato double cropping area of Korea.

A new double cropping potato variety, ‘Gangseon’, was bred by the Highland Agriculture Research Institute, National Instituteof Crop Science (NICS), RDA, Korea, in 2016. ‘Gangseon’ was obtained from the cross between ‘Daegwan1-83’ and ‘Chubaek’ in 2006. Seedling and line selection was performed from 2008 to 2009, and preliminary and advanced yield trials were carried out with ‘Gangseon’from 2010 to 2013 in Gangneung city. The regional yield trials were conducted in Gangneung, Muan, and Jeju from 2014 to 2016. ‘Gangseon’has light purple flowers, green narrow leaflets and petioles with medium anthocyanin coloration, round tubers with yellow russet skin, andyellow flesh. The dormancy of ‘Gangseon’ stored in 20 ℃ was 60-70 days after harvesting, which is longer than those of ‘Dejima’ and‘Chubaek’, but shorter than that of ‘Superior’. The average yields of tubers in the spring and fall seasons were 36.6 and 21.2 ton⋅ha-1,respectively, in the regional yield trials. It is susceptible to common scab and potato virus Y, but has high resistance to potato leaf rollvirus, potato virus X, early blight, and late blight. The dry matter contents were 22.1% in spring and 19.8% in autumn. The adaptation areaof ‘Gangseon’ is the southern coastal area, including Jeju Island, Korea. The plant variety protection right of ‘Gangseon’ was registered inApril 2020, and its grant number is 8081.

‘고운’은 농촌진흥청 국립식량과학원 고령지농업연구센터에서 가을재배용 칩가공용 품종을 육성하고자 1998년 건물함량이 높은 가공용품종 ‘Lemhi russet’와 수량성이 높은 단휴면 2기작 식용품종인 ‘추백’을 인공교배하여 육성하였다. 그후 봄재배와 가을재배를 통하여 실생세대와 생산력검정예비시험, 생산력검정본시험을 거치면서 H98005-4를 선발하였으며, 2005년과 2006년에 걸쳐 제주, 남해, 강릉 등 3지역에서봄, 가을재배를 통해 지역적응시험을 실시한 결과 그 우수성이 인정되어 2006년 농작물 직무육성 신품종 선정위원회에서국가목록 등재품종으로 선정되었다. ‘고운’은 남부 해안 2기작감자 재배지역에 적응하는 칩가공용 감자품종으로 숙기는중간정도이다. 반직립형으로 생장하며, 꽃색이 흰색이고, 자연조건하에서 열매는 거의 달리지 않는다. 괴경모양이 짧은 계란형으로 육색이 흰색이며, 내외부 생리장해 발생이 적다. 괴경의 건물함량이 높고 환원당 함량이 낮아 칩가공성이 우수하다. 괴경의 휴면기간은 수확후 60~70일 정도이다. 더뎅이병과 역병에 대하여 중도저항성이지만 감자바이러스Y에는 약하기 때문에 씨감자 채종재배시 진딧물 방제를 철저히 하여야한다. 풋마름병에 대해서는 저항성이 없으므로 풋마름병 발생지역에서는 재배하지 말아야 한다. ‘고운’의 수량성은 2005년부터 2006년까지 2년간 실시한 지역적응시험 결과 봄재배시33.2 ton/ha, 가을재배시 26.2 ton/ha로 나타나 ‘Dejima’에 비하여 각각 87%, 86%의 수량성을 보였다. ‘고운’의 적응지역은 전라북도 해안지역과 전라남도와 경상남도의 2기작감자 재배지역이다. 감자 풋마름병 저항성 유전자원 선발 및 RAPD를 이용한 유전적 다양성 분석

본 논문은 감자 풋마름병에 대한 저항성 계통을 선발하고 이들에 대한 유전적 다양성 평가를 위하여 RAPD 분석을 실시하였다. 감자 풋마름병에 대한 저항성 검정 방법은 양액재배 방식을 이용하였으며 고령지농업연구센터에서 보유한 감자 유전자원 440계통을 대상으로 풋마름병원균 race 1과 3에 저항성 계통을 선발하였다. 1차 선발에는 race 1 또는 race 3에 저항성인 계통을 선발하여 모두 72개의 계통을 선발하였으며, 2차 선발은 1차 선발 계통을 재평가하여 race 1, 3에 모두 저항성인 계통을 선발하였다. 2회에 걸쳐 병저항성 평가를 통하여 AG14075 등 총 20계통을 선발하였다. 선발된 20개의 계통간의 유전적 다양성을 알아보기 위해 URP 프라이머를 이용하여 RAPD 분석을 실시하였다. 11개의 URP 프라이머를 이용하였을 때 각각의 primer에서 5개에서 7개의 다형성 DNA 밴드를 발견할 수 있었다. RAPD분석 결과 유전적 유사도 지수는 0.56에서 0.82의 범위에 속하였다. 선발된 계통은 유전적 유사도 지수 0.56에서 2그룹으로 나눠졌다. 제 1그룹은 AG14075을 포함한 4계통이 포함되었고 제 2그룹은 AG14252을 포함한 16계통이 포함되었다. 제 2그룹에 속한 16계통은 유전적 유사도 지수 0.59에서 2개의 하위 그룹으로 나뉘어졌으며, 첫 번째 그룹은 AG34326을 포함한7계통이, 두 번째 그룹은 AG14252을 포함한 9계통이 포함되었다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 선발된 풋마름병 저항성 유전자원은 차후 육성모본으로 이용될 수 있을 것이며 RAPD 분석을 이용한 유전적 유연관계 분석 결과는 새로운 저항성 품종 육성을 위한 교배조합 작성에 이용될 수 있을 것을 판단된다. This study was carried out to select potato (Solanum tuberosum) clones resistant to Bacterial wilt (BW) disease (Ralstonia solanacearum) and evaluate genetic diversity with RAPD (Randomly amplified polymorphic DNA). A total of 440 clones collected and maintained at Highland Agriculture Research Center were tested in the hydroponic culture system with R. solanacearum race 1 and 3. After 40 days in dipping in hydroponic culture system, the resistance was evaluated as the range from 0 (resistance) to 4 (susceptible). Seventy-two clones were selected in the first screening as a resistant to race 1 or 3 in 2007, and the selected lines were tested again as the same procedure above. After the second screening, a total of 20 lines were selected as resistance to BW in 2008. For the evaluation of genetic diversity of the selected 20 clones, RAPD analysis was carried out with potato URP primer sets. From the 11 URP primers, 5 to 7 polymorphic DNA bands were amplified in selected resistant clones with each primer. With RAPD analysis, the genetic similarity was shown from 0.56 to 0.82. The selected clones were separated into two distinct groups at the genetic similarity value point of 0.56. Four clones including AG14252 were integrated into the first group, and the others, 16 clones, were grouped in the second group. In the second group, the two sub-groups showed genetic similarity value of 0.59. Seven clones including AG34326 and nine clones were separated into the first and second sub-groups, respectively. The results have revealed that bacterial wilt resistance test using hydroponic culture is favorable for the selection of BW resistant potato clones, and that RAPD analysis is useful for the identification of genetic similarity. The selected potato clones could be used as parent clones in BW resistance breeding program of potatoes.
