Tunicate Cellulose Nanocrystals as Stabilizers for PLGA-based Polymeric Nanoparticles
전상윤,박종호,송현기,신화성 한국생물공학회 2020 Biotechnology and Bioprocess Engineering Vol.25 No.2
Nanoparticles have different physical and chemical properties than those of micro-sized particles and are actively studied in the fields of electronics, biology, and material science. However, in case of most polymeric nanoparticles, maintaining and remaining in their colloid state for a long time is difficult due to self-aggregation. In this study, we examined the morphological, physical, and chemical properties of tunicate cellulose nanocrystals (tCNC) and also investigated the effect of tCNC on colloidal behaviors of poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA)-based nanoparticles. Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) showed that tCNC do not have a chemical effect on PLGA-based nanoparticles. Dynamic light scattering (DLS) showed that tCNC helped the PLGA nanoparticles maintain their small sizes for a longer period in solution. tCNC were also confirmed to be non-cytotoxic to human dermal fibroblasts at concentrations below 0.5%. Based on these results, tCNC were found to be a stabilizer for PLGA-based nanoparticles.

Imagery refers to creating of recreating experience in mind. It is a form of simulation that involves recalling from memory pieces of information in memory there from all types of experience and shaping them into meaningful images. Imagery appears to work through either minute neural firings in the muscles or symbolic coding patterns in the central mervous system. Anecdotal, case studyand experimental evidence demonstrate imagery can be a powerful technique to enhance performance. Imagery has many uses including reducing anxiety, building confidence, enhancing concentration, recovering from injury, and practicing specific skills and strategies. There are basically two types of imagery - internal and external. People need not use one or the other exclusively. Whatever kind of imagery is comfortable to the individual should be practiced systematically, just like physical skills. Both types of imagery involve not only the visual sense but kinesthetic, auditory, tactile and olfactory senses. Motivation and realistic expectations are critical to imagery training. Evaluation, using the Sport Imagery Questionnaires, should occur before the training program begins. Basic training in imagery includes exercises in vividness and controllability. Practicing imagery should become routine, a regular part of a training regimen. Athletes should initially practice in a quiet setting a relaxed, attentive state. They should focus on developing positive images, although it is also useful to visualizes failures occasionally to allow coping skills to develop. Both the execution and outcome of the skill should be imaged, and imaging should occur in real time. Imagery can be used before and after practice and competition, during breaks in the action, during personal time. Imagery can also benefit the rehabilitation process.
Carpal tunnel syndrome caused by thrombosed persistent median artery - A case report -
전상윤,이광민,양원준 대한마취통증의학회 2020 Anesthesia and pain medicine Vol.15 No.2
Background: A rare case of carpal tunnel syndrome caused by a thrombosed persistent median artery is presented here. Case: The diagnosis was delayed due to the overlapping cervical radiculopathy. Acute severe pain and nocturnal paresthesia were chief complaints. Ultrasonography, magnetic resonance imaging, and computed tomography angiography revealed that the median nerve was compressed by the occluded median artery. Instead of surgery, conservative therapy was tried. It worked well for six months. Conclusions: The importance of using modalities for decision making of diagnosis and treatment is emphasized in this report.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of Imagery Practice Program on self-efficacy and performance. The forty-two subjects were intentionally assigned to 3 different conditions groups: 14 involved in imagery practice Program A group(experimental group 1), 14 involved in imagery practice Program B group(experimental group 2), and 14 involved in control group. Each experimental group participated in imagery practice Program A and B for 5 weeks. The experimental task was bowling performance. The experimental instruments were imagery practice Program A, B and self-efficacy Questionnaires. The imagery practice Program A suitable for bowling was comprised of the whole body movement, the upper body movement, the lower body movement, the computerized movement, and striking movement. The imagery practice Program B suitable for bowling was comprised of general instructions. ANOVA was conducted to test the data. The conclusions are as followings: 1. The imagery practice Program has an affirmative influence upon performance. 2. The imagery practice Program has an influence upon self-efficacy. 3. The imagery practice Program has an influence upon performance and self-efficacy. 4. The imagery practice Program has an influence upon exercise participation motivation and continuous motivation.
Analysis and Prediction of Surface Condition of Artificial Skin Based on CNN and ConvLSTM
전상윤,신화성 한국생물공학회 2021 Biotechnology and Bioprocess Engineering Vol.26 No.3
Recently, with greater focus on ethical issues related to animal testing, interest in artificial skin platforms has increased in both cosmetic and medical industries. Artificial skin comprises dermal and epidermal layers. In particular, proper differentiation and proliferation of keratinocytes in the epidermal layer has a considerable influence on the role of the skin as a barrier. However, during 3D culture, real-time monitoring and evaluation of the tissue being cultured are difficult. In this study, Convolutional Neural Network and Convolutional Long Short-Term Memory were utilized for prediction of the artificial skin image. To evaluate the designed models, the similarity between the predicted artificial skin image was compared with the real image. We verified the possibility and practicability of artificial skin image analysis and prediction using neural network models. In the future, this approach could be applied to image prediction under certain conditions, such as inflammatory or skin diseases.

In 123 examples of admission patients at Dongshin university oriental medical hospital circulatory internal medicine, we sequently investigated serum lipid, at admission state, 2th and 4th weeks. The results were as follows; 1. In the case of 123 stroke patients, only 12cases were related to Hyperlipemia. So stroke was not related to Hyperlipemia significantly. 2. According to sex, woman has more significant results in the T-cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol. 3. According to the living Zone, Triglyceride of the city zone group washigher than that of the contryside zone significantly. 4. According to the history of drinking and smoke, the patients who have the history of drinking and smoke had a significant remark in T-cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol. 5. In the case of patients like eating meat, it was significant gain of HDL-cholesterol. 6. In the patients who had past history of Hypertension, the value of Triglyceride is significantly low, and sequently as blood pressure decreased, serum lipid value decreased too. 7. In the patients who had past history of D.M., the value of Triglyceride is significantly high, and sequently as blood sugar value decreased, serum lipid value decreased too. 8. In the case of patients treated He-Ne laser, Triglyceride was decreased significantly. 9. In the case of treating the stroke patients, serum lipid had non-significant decrease value.
