영아 눈떨림 환자에서 눈떨림파형분석을 통한 중심와 시간의 측정과 시력과의 관계

Purpose: To report herein on Nystagmus Acuity Estimator Function (NAEF) based on the foveation time, obtained by analyzing waveforms of infantile nystagmus patients and comparing the results with the patients’ actual visual acuity. Methods: Electro-oculographic data of 27 patients with infantile nystagmus were reviewed. Data of patients only with jerk type nystagmus and reliable visual acuity were analyzed. The foveation time was measured, and NAEF was calculated and compared with the patients’ actual best corrected visual acuity. Results: A correlation analysis of the patients’ best corrected visual acuity with NAEF was performed, and the retrieved coefficient was 0.4266. The p-value calculated using the Pearson correlation coefficient was 0.0282, implying that high NAEF correlates positively with visual acuity. Conclusions: Estimated visual acuity, calculated based on the waveforms, positively correlates with the patients’ actual visual acuity with statistical significance. However, since the foveation time can be measured only in the patients with jerk-type nystagmus waveforms, further study should be performed on the measurement of the foveation time with other waveforms. With the development of artificial intelligence, many studies have focused on evaluating abnormal situations by using various sensors, as industries try to automate some of the surveillance and security tasks traditionally performed by humans. In particular, mobile robots using multimodal sensors are being used for pilot operations aimed at helping security robots cope with various outdoor situations. Multiagent systems, which combine fixed and mobile systems, can provide more efficient coverage (than that provided by other systems), but network bottlenecks resulting from increased data processing and communication are encountered. In this report, we will examine recent trends in object recognition and abnormal-situation determination in various changing outdoor security robot environments, and describe an outdoor security robot platform that operates as a multiagent equipped with a multimodal sensor.
녹내장에서 파장가변 빛간섭단층촬영을 이용한 황반부 신경절세포층의 진단력

목적: 녹내장 환자에서 파장가변 빛간섭단층촬영(DRI OCT-1, Topcon Co., Tokyo, Japan)을 이용하여 황반부 신경절세포복합체 (macular ganglion cell complex, mGCC)와 황반 신경절세포 및 내망상층(macular ganglion cell inner plexiform layer, mGCIPL)의 두께를 분석해 보고 두 방법의 진단력을 확인해 보고자 한다. 대상과 방법: 2014년 8월부터 2015년 7월까지 본원에 내원한 109명 109안을 대상으로 파장가변 빛간섭단층촬영을 이용하여 mGCC와 mGCIPL의 두께를 측정하여 정상군, 초기, 진행된 녹내장군 간의 차이를 확인해 보고, 각각의 진단력, 민감도, 특이도를 구하여 유두주위 망막신경섬유층(circumpapillary retinal nerve fiber layer, cpRNFL) 두께 분석 방법과 비교해 보았다. 결과: 초기와 진행된 녹내장에 대한 area under the curve를 비교해 보았을 때 mGCC는 0.78과 0.99 cpRNFL과 유의한 차이가 없었으나 mGCIPL은 0.70으로 cpRNFL과 초기 녹내장을 진단하는 경우 cpRNFL의 진단력과 유의한 차이를 나타내었고(p=0.018),녹내장 진단에 대한 민감도와 특이도는 mGCC가 0.95와 0.97, mGCIPL은 0.92와 0.97로 측정되었다. 결론: 두 가지 방법 모두 녹내장을 진단하는 데 있어 높은 민감도와 특이도를 지닌 진단 방법이나, mGCC의 두께 분석 방법이 녹내장의 초기 변화를 감지하는 데 보다 나은 진단력을 가지고 있는 것으로 생각된다. <대한안과학회지 2016;57(6):941-950> Purpose: To evaluate diagnostic ability of macular ganglion cell complex (mGCC), macular ganglion cell inner plexiform layer (mGCIPL) measurements in glaucoma using swept source deep range imaging optical coherence tomography (DRI OCT-1, Topcon Co., Tokyo, Japan). Methods: From August of 2014 to July of 2015, 109 eyes of 109 subjects were assessed for the average thickness and sectional thickness of both mGCC and mGCIPL to determine whether there exists any significant difference among advanced stage glaucoma group, early stage glaucoma group and normal group in Swept source OCT. Comparisons were also made between the above measurements and circumpapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (cpRNFL) thickness measurements in their diagnostic accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity. Results: The diagnostic ability of mGCC based-mean thickness value (area under the curve [AUC] = 0.78/ 0.99) in detecting early stage glaucoma group as well as advanced stage group was not significantly different from that of cpRNFL thickness measurement. However, there was a significant difference in thickness between mGCIPL (AUC = 0.70) and cpRNFL in early stage glaucoma groups (p = 0.018). The sensitivities and specificities of mGCC were 0.95/0.97, and those of mGCIPL were 0.92/0.97, respectively. Conclusions: The two swept source OCT based methods measuring retinal ganglion cell layer thickness appeared to have a good diagnostic accuracy, high sensitivity and specificity in detecting glaucomatous eyes. 표고버섯 보충이 제2형 당뇨병 환자의 혈당, 지질 대사 및 항산화 효소 활성에 미치는 영향

The present study was carried out to evaluate the physiological effects of mushroom supplementation on blood glucose levels, lipid profile, and antioxidant enzyme activities in subjects with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Subjects were randomized into either a control group or mushroom supplementation group. Mushroom supplementation was provided 3 times a day for 4 weeks. We found that total dietary fiber intake was about 2.5 times higher (30.3 g vs. 12.3 g) in subjects receiving mushroom supplementation than in the control group. Two groups maintained the same food intake and amount of activity, exercise during the supplementation. We observed no difference in age, height, weight, BMI (body mass index), blood pressure between the groups. Nutrient intake did not differ appreciably between the two groups, except for fiber intake, during the supplementation. Fasting blood glucose levels and 2-hour postprandial blood glucose levels were significantly lower in those ingesting mushroom than in controls. Furthermore, the concentrations of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol were decreased significantly in the mushroom supplementation group. Small changes were observed in the concentration of total cholesterol, triglyceride, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol of those supplemented with mushroom, but these changes were not statistically significant. Activities of superoxide dismutase and catalase with mushroom supplementation were higher than in controls, but and glutathione peroxidase activity was not affected. The levels of thiobarbituric acid reactive substance of mushroom group were lower than control group, but were not siginificant. We conclude that addition of mushroom influences glycemic control and may be effective in lowering blood lipids and improving antioxidant enzyme activities. Accordingly, such effects may reduce risk factors for cardiovascular disease in patients with type 2 diabetes. However, to confirm these effects and to make dietary recommendations for patients with type 2 diabetes, further studies are necessary. (Korean J Nutr 2007; 40 (4): 327~333)

A sensor that can measure the concentration of harmful chemicals in water using changes in surface resistance was fabricated using a metal oxide nanoparticle film, and the changes in sensor performance due to surface treatment processes were investigated. The influence of the surface residue of the organic binder used for film printing was focused on, and the changes in the properties of the film and sensor were observed. To remove the residual binder, a cleaning process was additionally introduced to the existing sintering process, and the changes in the properties of the ITO:CB film were observed according to the cleaning time, and the surface treatment time was optimized. It was confirmed that the sensor response improved as the cleaning time increased, and the optimal surface treatment conditions were determined to ensure good sensor operation.

In recent, a endoscopy system using the stereo camera is increasing in the field of surgical robot. The endoscope system is a illumination unit for operating from the inside of the body. However, because of lighting module is not sufficient uniform, the stereo endoscopy system occurs some problems, such as radiometric distortion. In this paper, we apply the existing various algorithms to identify that problems and understand through the actual video of the stereo endoscopy system. Through comparison between the algorithm we check the appropriate algorithm and figure out what needs to solve any problems in the future work.

The real-time stereo vision is becoming important increasingly in the field of Robotics. it is very difficult to materialize in real time base and this may require very powerful processors. In this paper, we developed the stereo matching ASIC chip using trellis dynamic programming structure includes the pre-processing part for the rectification and post-processing for reduction of noise. Also, in order to use this ASIC chip on various applications, we developed the embedded system using S3C6410 and this makes it possible to transmit the compressed images. This stereo vision system runs at 30 FPS and consumes low power enough using application for mobile robots.
