        한수대보원이 포유동물인 생쥐 모델에서 골 손실 및 RANKL 유도 파골세포 분화에 미치는 영향

        Objective: This study investigated the effects of Hansu-Daebowon (HDW) on bone resorption in vitro and bone loss in vivo. Methods: Osteoclast differentiation was measured by counting TRAP (+) MNC formed from RAW 264.7 in the presence of RANKL. Bone pit formation was determined in an artificial bone slice loaded with RANKL-stimulated osteoclasts. To elucidate the mechanisms of the inhibitory effects of HDW on bone resorption and osteoclast differentiation, osteoclastogenic genes (i.e. TRAP, MMP-9, NFATc1, c-Fos, and Cathepsin K) were measured using real time PCR. Furthermore, bone loss was observed using micro-CT in an LPS-treated mammal model. Results: HDW inhibited the bone pit formation in vitro and inhibited bone loss in vivo. Moreover, HDW decreased the number of TRAP (+) MNCs in the presence of RANKL, and HDW inhibited the expressions of cathepsin K, MMP-9, TRAP, NFATc1, and c-Fos in the osteoclasts. Conclusion: HDW exerts inhibitory effects on bone loss and bone resorption resulting from the inhibitions of osteoclast differentiation and osteoclastogenic gene expression.

        현대 효와 인성의 위기 및 대응 전략

        Korean people have been regarding a beautiful cultural heritage, which is the HYO(Harmony of Young & Old) as an important value while serving their ancestors, respecting elderly and fulfilling the duty to be courteous to neighbors. However, rapid social change brought about materialism and egoism deepening a conflict with neighbors and social crimes such as abuse, violence, and murders have been increasing. These phenomenons has been considered due to the crisis of current HYO and personality. Recognition, behavioral, educational and systematic factors attribute the crisis. First of all, negative perception like objection to the HYO has been spreading with the social changes such as low birth rate and aging in terms of recognition factor. In the behavioral aspect, the dramatic rise of the single or two-member household and elderly people living alone causes conflicts between generation and social class. Not only that, the increase number of multi-cultural families and divorce rate lead to the collapse of traditional family. In the educational aspect, the absence of good upbringing due to the nuclear family, the lack of education experts and materials and inappropriate filial conduct cases gives rise to the crisis. Lastly, in the systematic point of view, limited definition of the legal concept of the HYO makes it difficult to differentiate from the core value and virtue of personality education. As corresponding strategies to resolve these crises of the current HYO as discussed above, Firstly, the noble value of the HYO can be awaken through love and honors between family members. In addition, community members as well as students need to recognize the importance of personality. Secondly, the desirable behavior of HYO and personality should be maintained and developed through actively accepting social changes. Thridly, early-year personality education and practice of HYO are necessary and new educational approach toward not only students but also whole nation (especially eldery) is essential. Forthly, re-establishment of the broad legal concept of the HYO and the support for 「The Agency for HYO-Culture」 to become a country’s leading professional institution are required. By implementing the correspondence strategies to the crisis of current HYO and personality described above, we can achieve healthy home and an elegant society, along with the pursuit of individual happiness, and the development of our country further. 예로부터 우리 국민들은 아름다운 전통 문화유산인 효(孝)를 소중한 가치로 여기고, 조상을 섬기며 어른들을 공경하고 이웃사람에게 예의를 다하는 등 인성(人性)을 중요시 했다. 그러나 급속한 사회 변화로 물질만능주의와 이기주의가 만연되어 이웃과의 갈등이 심화되고, 학대·폭력·살인 등 사회적 범죄가 증가하고 있다. 이는 현대 효와 인성의 위기에서 기인하는 것으로, 인식·행태·교육·제도 면에서의 문제점 등 위기를 살펴보았다. 먼저, 인식 면에서는 저 출산·고령화 등 사회변화에 따라 효에 대한 거부감 등 부정적 인식이 확산되고 있다. 행태 면에서는 1~2인 가구 및 독거노인이 크게 늘어나면서 세대와 계층별 갈등, 다문화 가정 및 이혼율 증가 등으로 전통적인 가정의 붕괴 현상이 나타나고 있다. 교육면에서는 핵가족화로 밥상머리 교육의 부재, 효와 인성교육 전문가 부족, 교육 자료 미흡 및 부적절한 효행 사례 등이 있다. 마지막으로 제도 면에서는 전통윤리인 효가 존중되어야 함에도 법률상 가족중심의 제한적으로 정의되었고, 인성교육 목표의 다른 가치와 동일시되고 있음은 바람직하지 못하다. 이상에서 살펴본 현대 효와 인성의 위기 해소를 위한 대응전략은 첫째, 아름다운 전통 문화유산인 효의 숭고한 가치를 계승 발전시키고, 사회윤리의 기본인 인성의 중요성을 인식하도록 한다. 둘째, 시대에 따른 효와 인성의 행태 변화를 능동적으로 수용하고, 현대 사회에 맞춰 보완·발전시켜 나간다.. 셋째, 어린 아이부터 노인에 이르기까지 전 국민에게 효행 실천 및 인성 교육을 실시해야 한다. 넷째, 효의 개념을 광의의 의미로 재설정하고,「효문화진흥원」이 국가 최고의 효와 인성 전문 교육기관이 되도록 한다. 이상에서 제시한 현대 효와 인성의 위기에 대한 대응 전략을 구체적으로 시행함으로, 개인의 행복 추구는 물론, 건전한 가정과 품격 있는 사회를 만들고 국가 발전의 원동력이 될 것으로 기대한다.

        진달래 뿌리 추출물의 알레르기 염증 억제 효과

        Objective: In this study, we investigated the protective effect of rhododendron mucronulatum extract (RME) on allergic reactions and inflammation. Methods: The effect of RME was determined using ELISA and RT-PCR in RBL-2H3 mast cells and RAW 264.7 macrophage cells. We determined cell viability, β-hexosaminidase release, and the synthesis of IL-4 and TNF-α in RBL-2H3 cells. In addition, we determined NO from RAW 264.7 and the gene expression of IL-1β, iNOS, IL-6, TNF-α, and IL-10. Results: RME inhibited β-hexosaminidase release and synthesis of IL-4 and TNF-α in RBL-2H3 by the anti-DNP IgE plus DNP-HSA stimulation. In addition, RME inhibited the production of NO and the gene expression of IL-1β, iNOS, IL-6, and TNF-α in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells. Conclusion: From these results, we concluded that RME possesses anti-allergic activity and anti-inflammatory activity due to the inhibition of mast cells and macrophage function.

        로스팅 녹두를 이용한 다식 제조 및 품질특성

        In this study, we manufactured mung bean Dasik (pattern pressed candy) after selecting the optimum roasting conditions through physiochemical analysis and sensory evaluation. Then anti-oxidative abilities of roasted mung bean were measured in order to develop beauty food (Dasik) using roasted mung bean. In the content of vitexin and isovitexin of roasted mung bean, about 10 times the vitexin in the seed(60.85 mg/g) is found in the skin of raw mung bean, and about 9 times the isovitexin in the seed(71.42 mg/g) is also found in the peel. As a result of analyzing the seed and peel of mung bean after roasting it for 10, 20 and 30 minutes respectively, the optimum roasting condition is thought to be 110℃ for 30 minutes as the contents of vitexin and isovitexin showed the highest values of 104.94 mg/g and 122.02 mg/g respectively when the mung bean was roasted at 110℃ for 30 minutes. In the anti-oxidative activity evaluation of the optimum mung bean Dasik, the total content of phenol was shown to be 0.15 mg/mL, and the total content of flavonoid was shown to be 0.026 mg/mL. The DPPH radical scavenging ability showed a high vitality of 58.19%, and the ABTS radical scavenging ability was shown to be 13.26%.
