The change from people`s work-centered values to their leisure-centered values leads into the change in their life styles. In the circumstance, people`s participation into sports activities seems to be an important means to improve their quality of life. Along with the change of the times, more people take part in water leisure sports including kayak. As a result, peoples needs for various designs of water leisure goods are on the rise. In this sense, it is necessary to come up with strategies to actively respond to such a change. In this paper, we proposed a user decision-making support system for designing kayaks for leisure. Based on the previous studies and literatures and a questionnaire survey with consumers, it chose the sensitivity related to design. By conducting factor analysis and evaluation, it drew sensitivity and proposed kayak design layouts in the aspect of customer sensitivity preference. It is expected that the result of this study will be used not only for kayak design, but as a design guide for the equipment of water leisure sports, and will be applied for user-friendly design.

본 논문에서는 초고압 특수 공간지를 활용한 다기능 포터블 카약을 제작하였다. 초고압 특수 공간지를 활용한 설계로 기존의 인플레터블 카약의 성능을 개선하여 하드쉘 카약의 성능에 근접하도록 제작하였다. 하드쉘 카약의 성능과 인플레터블 카약의 기능성 및 휴대성의 장점을 모두 가진 카약을 제작하였으며, 시제품 성능평가를 통해 기존 하드쉘 카약과의 성능을 비교하였다. 저항성능 검증결과는 목표속도 6knot에 대해 Hobie KONA kayak에 비해 Developed kayak이 12.33% 저항성능이 우수하였다. 경사시험결과는 동일배수량일 경우 Hobie KONA kayak 보다 Developed kayak의 무게중심이 선저를 기준으로 22.7% 낮게 분포하고 있으며, 이는 Hobie KONA kayak 보다 Developed kayak의 무게중심이 낮음으로 복원팔(GZ)에 대한 차이가 일정부분 감소된다. 선체 복원력에서는 Hobie KONA kayak이 약간 우수한 성능을 보여주었으나, 선회력과 저항계수면에서 Developed kayak이 더 우수한 결과를 보였다. In this paper, we manufactured portable inflatable kayak using ultra high pressure drop stitch. by improving inflatable kayaks’ performance with a design using the extra-high-voltage special space paper, they were manufactured to go near to performance of hard shell kayaks. The kayaks were manufactured having all merits of the performance of hard shell kayaks and functionality and portability of the inflatable kayaks, and through performance evaluation of test products, the performance was compared with previous hard shell kayaks. About 6 knot of target speed in the verification result of resistance performance, the developed kayak was more excellent than the HOBIE-KONA kayak by 12.33%. In case of same displacement in a result of inclination test, the centroid of the developed kayak was less distributed by 22.7% than the HOBIE-KONA kayak, based on the bottoms of the ships. This makes the difference for righting arm (GZ) lessened to some degree because the developed kayak is lower than the HOBIE-KONA kayak in the centroid. In the dynamic stability of ship bodies, the HOBIE-KONA kayak showed a little excellent performance. However, in rudder force and resistance factor, the developed kayak was more outstanding than the HOBIE-KONA kayak.

Recently, demand for water leisure sports gradually increases according to the change of given social circumstance and the change of customer needs due to the increase of free time and the increase of the national income all over the world. Accordingly, needs for various hull designs increase, not the hull design of a standardized canoe·kayak. Therefore, in this paper, we designed a kayak for water leisure by using the collaborative filtering technique in order to make it possible to actively cope with the change of increasing customer needs for various hull designs. In the collaborative filtering technique, Pearson correlation coefficient was used in order to calculate users similarity weight. Besides, an analysis was made according to the elements such as hull, body, and propulsion system of kayak in order to select emotional words according to the kayak design reflecting users preference. Besides, a kayak model in the aspect of customer preference was presented through factor analysis.
