        Inhibitory Effects of Hwanggigunjung-tang on the secretion of PGE2, NO and Cytokines in LPS-stimulated BV2 microglial Cells

        황기건중탕은 보비익기(補裨益氣) 및 거습열(祛濕熱)하는 효능(效能)으로 신체(身體)의 허약(虛弱)을 개선하며 염증(炎症)을 유발할 수 있는 외사(外邪)의 침입을 방어하여 인체의 면역기능(免疫機能)을 강화하는 처방으로 면역관련 세포중 하나인 microglial cell를 대상으로 면역세포에 황기건중탕이 어떠한 효능을 발휘하는 지를 살펴보았다. 물로 전탕(煎湯)한 황기건중탕을 여과한 후 실험한 결과 BV2 microglial cells에서 LPS로 자극하여 염증을 유발하는 주요 물질인 NO의 분비를 세포독성 없이 억제하였다. 또한NO를 생성하는 효소인 Cox-2의 발현도 감소시켰다. 그리고 기타 염증전구 물질들이 $TNF-{\alpha}$, $IL-1{\beta}$, IL-12도 황기건중탕의 용량이 증가함에 따라 의존적으로 감소함을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과를 보아 황기건중탕은 면역관련세포인 microglial cell에서 염증 관련 인자들의 분비 및 생성을 억제를 통하여 면역관련 상태를 개선시키는 것으로 사료된다.

      • 홍채표지와 비만지표와의 상관성 연구

        Objectives This study analyze the correlation between iris markings and the obesity level shown in body composition indices. And It quantitatively evaluates iris markings according to the level of obesity to improve a clinical application plan for the iris analysis. Methods This study analyzed the iris and body composition through the quantization of iris markings for 28 female patients. It calculated descriptive statistics by using SPSS 13.0 and investigated correlation coefficients of non-parametric Spearman in order to analyze the relation between iris markings and body composition indices. Results Considering the correlation between iris markings and body composition indices, an area of the pupil had a significant positive correlation with height and with fat-free amount such as body water, protein, and minerals. BMI showed significant positive correlations with the length of the autonomic nerve wreath and the ratio of the autonomic nerve wreath, and the area of the autonomic nerve wreath. Moreover, the number of lacunas in the pancrea area had a significant positive correlation with weight and BMI. Conclusions This study objectifies the quantification of iris markings to identify the correlation between iris markings and the level of obesity. The study results will be used as a basic data to make standards for the diagnosis of obesity, the treatment of related diseases, and the diagnosis of iris markings for prevention.

        유산균을 이용한 비상품 발효 토마토의 품질 특성

        본 연구에서는 비상품 토마토를 이용한 가공품의 개발 가능성을 알아보기 위해 토마토에 Lactobacillus plantarum을 접종하여 발효물을 제조하였으며, 발효 기간의 변화와 상품과 토마토와의 차이점을 분석하였다. 생균수 측정과 이화학적 분석을 통해 비상품과 여부에 관계없이 토마토의 발효는 다른 영양물질의 첨가 없이도 활발하게 이루어짐을 확인할 수 있었다. 비상품 토마토는 발효 후 더 높은 폴리페놀 함량으로 기인한 DPPH 라디칼 소거능이 상품과보다 높았다. GC-MS를 이용한 대사산물 분석에서는 발효 48시간까지 대사산물 패턴이 급격하게 변화하는 것으로 나타났으며, 상품과와 비상품과 사이에 초기 대사산물의 차이가 발효 후 유사해지는 것으로 확인되었다. 상품 토마토와 비상품 토마토 발효물은 일부 당과 유기산, 아미노산 함량에서 차이를 보였으며, 이는 초기 토마토의 성분이 다르기 때문으로 추정된다. 이상의 결과를 종합하면 비상품 토마토는 생과로서는 상품성이 떨어지더라도 유산균 발효를 통한 가공식품으로서의 개발 가치가 있을 것으로 생각된다. 또한, 이러한 결과는 채소와 과일의 발효 가공 연구에 있어서 대사산물의 변화를 실시간으로 모니터링하는 방법으로 GC-MS를 활용한 대사산물 분석이 활용될 수 있음을 시사한다. This study examined the quality characteristics of fermented tomato by Lactobacillus plantarum. A gas chromatography-mass spectrometry dataset coupled with multivariate statistical analysis was used to investigate the metabolic changes in tomato during fermentation and to assess the possibility of its development as a processed product using non-marketable (immature and overripe) tomatoes. Non-marketable tomatoes exhibited higher 1,1-diphenyl- 2-picrylhydrazyl regent radical scavenging ability than the control tomatoes due to the higher polyphenol contents after fermentation. The metabolites of tomato changed rapidly until 48 hours after fermentation. Although the contents of some sugars, organic acids, and amino acids were different, the metabolite patterns between the non-marketable and control tomatoes were similar after fermentation. These results suggest that non-marketable tomatoes have development value as processed foods through fermentation by lactic acid bacteria, despite their inferior commercial value as a raw material.

        Objectives Iridology is a field of study that diagnoses various systemic diseases through analysis of colors, structural characteristics and changes in iris. The purpose of this study was to review previously published study results of the iridology. Methods The studies were searched with the keyword "iridology" through search engines such as SCOPUS, Pub med, RISS, and NDSL. Total of 36 iridology-related studies published from 1980 to 2012 were analyzed. Results Most diagnoses of systemic disease through iris markings were insignificant. The studies on relevance of gene polymorphism and iris constitution were highly significant. The studies on relevance of Sasang constitution and iris constitution varied in results depending on diagnosis methods. The studies on relevance of iris constitution and diseases had significant results. The structural characteristics of iris were related to certain personality. Conclusions The studies on utility of iris diagnosis and diagnostic markings were negative, but the relevance of constitution, heredity, and iris diagnosis was positive. A persistent in-depth study on relevance of iris and constitution is needed in the future.

      • 생사(生絲) 품위향상(品位向上)을 위(爲)한 기초조사(基礎調査) 연구(硏究): 견층(繭層) Sericin과 용체(龍體) 단백질(蛋白質)의 용해거동(溶解擧動)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究)(3)

        This study is to investigate the content of crude protein intruded in the sericin of cocoon shell and pupa by treatment of buffer solution (pH 1 to pH 13) 20 ml per 1 gram for 30 and 60 minutes at 30℃, 60℃ and 100±2℃, respectively. The results obtained are summarized as follows. 1. The quantity of total crude protein obtained from cocoon shell and pupa by treatment during 30 minutes at 30℃ was dissolved as the largest quantity of 11.874 mg/g at pH 1 and l5.93mg/g at pH 13, but dissolved the smallest quantity 1.75g/g at pH 5 as known. and tile quantity of crude protein treated for 60 minutes is 13.437mg/g at pH 1 and 22.50mg/g at pH 13. Also, the smallest quantity is 2. 813mg/g at pH 5 as known. 2. By the treatment during 30 minutes at 60℃, the dissolved largest quantity was 13.12mg/g at pH 1 and 21.875 mg/g at pH 13, but the smallest quantity is 2.375mg/g at pH 5 as known. After treatment for 60 minutes at 60℃, the dissolved largest quantity was 17.500 mg/g at pH 1 and 31.56mg/g at pH 13, but the smallest quantity is 3.849 mg/g at pH 5. 3. The dissolved crude protein from the cocoon shell and pupa by treatment for 30 minutes at 100±2℃ was the largest quantity of 147.000mg/g at pH 1 and 398. 125mg/g at pH 13, but the smallest quantity is 75.00mg/g at pH 5 as known. After treatment for 60 minutes at 100±2℃, the largest quantity was 253.76 mg/g at pH 1 and 460.625mg/g at pH 13, but the smallest quantity is 139.375mg/g at pH 5 as known. 4. The dissolved crude protein from the cocoon shell and pupa was not different in quantity by treatment at 30℃ or 60℃. But dissolved crude protein was large quantity from cocoon shell more than pupa, as known. 5. The treatment of cocoon shell and pupa during 60 minutes at 100±20℃ was increased to the dissolved largest quantity of crude protein of 19.20% at pH 1 and 22.18% at pH 13 from the cocoon shell and 6.12% at pH, an d 23.87% at pH 13 from the pupa. But dissolved crude protein was increased to the larger quantity from pupa more than cocoon shell.

        가미 태음조위탕과 저열량 식이를 병행한 체중 감량 프로그램에서 발생한 이상 반응 분석

        Objectives: The objective of this study was to assess the safety of Gamitaeeumjowee-tang by analyzing adverse events in weight loss program in combination with Gamitaeeumjoweetang and low-calorie diet. Methods: A retrospective review of adverse events in weight loss program in combination with Gamitaeeumjowee-tang and low-calorie diet from the electronic medical chart (n=124) between June 2015 and December 2016 was conducted. Three Korean Medicine Doctors (KMDs) reviewed adverse events for two times, during week 2 to 4 and at week 10, after starting weight loss program. Adverse events were evaluated in terms of causality, severity and system-organ classes. Also, agreement among the three KMDs was made through further discussion in case of disagreement after independent review. Results: The overall rate of adverse events was 37.1% during week 2 to 4 and 16.9% at week 10. For causality of adverse events using the World Health Organization-Uppsala Monitoring Centre causality categories, 52.2% were evaluated possible at week 2-4 and 57.1% were evaluated unlikely at week 10. All symptoms were evaluated as mild by LDS scale. Nausea (15, 12.1%) was the most frequent adverse event at week 2-4 and dizziness (6, 4.8%) was the most common at week 10. Conclusions: Adverse events decreased over time. There were no serious adverse events and none of the subjects were dropped due to adverse events. Continuous study is needed to prove the safety of Gamitaeeumjowee-tang for treating obesity.

        비전형자폐 소아 환자 치험 2례 보고

        Objective : The purpose of this study is to assess the clinical effect of Yukmijihawangtang gamibang on autism. Methods : This clinical study was carried out with two atypical autistic children. We treated them with the herb medicine(Yukmijihawangtang gamibang) for several months and observed them once a month. And we checked the dregrees of autism with Korean-Autism Diagnostic Scale at June 29 and October 13. Results : Two cases's dregrees of autism were improved significantly. Autistic probability of case 1 was below the average at first test and very low at second test And case 2 was above the average at first test and very low at second test. And language was improved at last. Conclusion : Yukmijihawangtang gamibang was effective in the treatment of autism and more study about this disease is needed.

        1. Ascorbic acid는 병B 배자까지는 점차적으로 증가하고 그 후에는 감소함을 알 수 있었다. 2. Triglyceride 및 total cholesterol은 병A 배자까지 증가하고 그 후는 감소함을 알 수 있었다. 3. Phospholipid는 병A 배자에서 감소하고 병B 배자에서 증가 다시 감소하였다가 점청기배자에서 부화직전까지 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 4. Free Fatty acid는 병A 배자에서 감소하고 병B 배자와 기A 배자에서 증가를 나타내고 다시 감소하였다가 부화직전에 증가하는 것을 알 수 있었다. As a result of investigating the change of Ascorbic acid and Lipid which have a relation with metabolism of a silkworm egg in the process of the growth of embryo is silkworm eggs. The following facts have been found 1) Ascorbic acid has gradually increased before the period of the Byong B embryo and it has decreased after period of Byong B embryo. 2) Triglyceride and Total cholesterol has gradually increased before the period of the Byong B embryo and it has decreased after period of the Byong B embryo. 3) Phospholipid has gradually decreased before the period of the Byong A embryo and it increased during the Byong B embryo and decreased again at same stage. It has increased from the head pigment of embryo to hachting. 4) Free Fatty acid decreased during the Byong A embryo stage and increased from the Byong B embryo stage to the Ki A embryo stage and decreased again and increased shortly before the hachting.

        소셜 미디어 전환의도 동기요인: 소셜 네트워크 스트레스를 중심으로

        소셜 미디어의 사용은 참여자들 간의 지식공유 활동, 사회 네트워크 형성, 다양한 사람들과의 소통기능 등과 같은 다양한 장점을 갖고 있다. 그러나 이러한 장점에도 불구하고 프라이버시와 사생활 침해, 피싱공격, 심리적 스트레스 등 다양한 부작용 또한 야기되고 있는데, 그 중 특히 소셜 네트워크 스트레스라는 새로운 개념의 스트레스가 주목받고 있다. 본 연구는 소셜 네트워크 스트레스의 개념을 정립하고, 소셜 미디어 환경에서 소셜 네트워크 스트레스가 전환행동에 미치는 영향을 살펴보려 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 소셜 네트워크 스트레스의 선행요인 및 결과요인으로 구성된 연구 모델을 제시하고, 구조방정식 모델을 기반으로 하는 LISREL 8.7을 이용하여 연구모델을 실증적으로 검증하였다. 실증분석 결과, 소셜 미디어상에서 자기표출과 지식공유 활동은 소셜 네트워크 스트레스에 유의한 긍정적 영향을 주었으며 이는 소셜 미디어 전환의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 끝으로 본 연구의 이론적, 실무적 시사점을 논의하였고 연구가 지닌 한계점을 제시하였다. The use of social media has many advantages such as knowledge sharing, social networking, and communicating with other people. However, it has given rise to various side effects including stress, Which is defined as social network stress in this study. This study aims to conceptualize social network stress and investigate its effect on switching behavior in social media. For this purpose, we present a research model that consists of the antecedents and consequences of social network stress and test it empirically using LISREL 8.7 based on the structural equation model. The empirical results showed that knowledge sharing and self-disclosure had positive impact on social network stress, which in turn positively influenced social media switching behaviors. In conclusion, we discussed both theoretical and practical implications of this research and suggested its limitations.
