Sulfamethoxazole의 오존산화처리에 관한 연구

The ozonation of sulfamethoxazole (SMX) was performed at 20℃ using a pilot scale countercurrent bubble column reactor. Ozonation systems were combined with UV irradiation and TiO2 addition. As the oxidation reaction proceeded in each treatment system, the pH of the sample decreased and in the O3/UV/TiO2 system, the pH change was the largest from 4.54 to 2.02. Under these experimental conditions, the scavenger impact of carbonate is negligible. The highest COD and TOC removal rate was observed in the O3/UV/TiO2 system due to the UV irradiation and the photocatalytic effect of TiO2. Also, the highest mineralization ratio(ε) value is 0.2 in the O3/UV/TiO2 system, which means theoxidation capacity of the systems. The highest SMX degradation rate constants calculated by COD and TOC values (COD and TOC) were 2.15 × 10-4 sec-1 and 1.00 × 10-4 sec-1 in the O3/UV/TiO2 system, respectively. The activation energy (Ea) of ozone treatment follows the Arrhenius law. It was calculated based on COD and TOC. Each activation energy decreased in order of single O3> O3/TiO2> O3/UV > O3/UV/TiO2 system. The result showed that ΔH≠ is more effective than ΔS≠ in each SMX ozontaionsystem, that is characteristic of the common oxidation reaction.

The aniline degradation in aqueous solution under the ozonation alone and the combination of illuminated TiO2 photocatalysis and ozonation has been studied in laboratory scale batch reactor. Flow rate of ozone 1.0 L min-1 and ozone concentration of 200 ± 10 mg L-1 were maintained constantly, and the pH, CODMn and TOC was measured in 10 min intervals during the 60min at oxidation processes. From the experimental results obtained, the relationship between the oxidation and mineralization degree was investigated. As a result, the decomposition rate of organic compounds dissolving in the aqueous solution was higher than ozonation alone. The pseudo first-order rate constants for the elimination of CODMn and TOC were 3.58 × 10-4 sec-1, 1.80 × 10-4 sec-1, and activation energy was 1.72 kcal․mol-1 and 1.72 kcal․mol-1 at 20℃, respectively.

The proteinase-activated receptor (PAR-2) belongs to the family of seven transmembrane region receptors, like the thrombin receptor, it is activated by specific proteolytic clea vage of its extracellular amino terminus and a synthetic peptide (SLIGRL). The earthworm protein fraction (EPF) extracted from Lumbricus rubellus elicted dose- and endothelium-dependent relaxations in phenylephrine-contracted rat thoracic aorta, whereas heat inactivated EPF (0.5 ${\mu}g$ /ml) had no effect. In the presence of the nitric oxide synthase inhibitor NG-methyl-L-arginine (1.8 micro M), EPF (0.5 ${\mu}g$ /ml)-induced relaxations were partially inhibited. Furthermore, EPF (0.5 ${\mu}g$ /ml) dramatically caused relaxation of thrombin-desenstized rat thoracic aorta. These results indicate that EPF activates PAR-2 in vascular endothelial cell. Intravenous injection of EPF (20 mg/kg, bolus) into anesthetized rats produced a marked depressor response. EPF (0 ~ 80 ${\mu}g$ /ml, gradient) was very effective on increasing of perfusion volume in rabbit ear vessel preparations. These results imply the usefulness of EPF as a vascular smooth muscle relaxant and indicate that the activation of PAR-2 may be a mechanism of EPF on hemokinetic improvement.
2,4,6-trichloroanisole의 오존산화 처리반응에 관한 연구

Ozonation was investigated for removal of 2,4,6-trichloroanisole (TCA) known as a odor causing substance in laboratory scale bach reactor. Ozonation were carried out under various experimental conditions including irradiation of UV, addition of TiO2 and variation in reaction temperatures. Our results confirmed that the combination of UV irradiation and presence of TiO2 in the ozonation improved the removal TCA and mineralization in aqueous solution because of promotion of hydroxyl radicals. The pseudo first-order rate constants and activation parameters were calculated based on TOC values.
