In order to find methods to encourage active private participation for efficient road maintenance, this study examined the status of the road improvement project and the development of the private capital utilization improvement project. Based on this, the study conducted a case study and a financial feasibility study that applied the new business method and selected the applicable business method. As a result, it is analyzed that the method of using Crowd Funding is more advantageous than the private scheme of the private capital utilization improvement project. This is because it will be highly effective in raising funds from users of highway users, especially users of improvement projects. In addition, it can also mean that the road users who suffer from inconvenience due to the construction can return the toll profit of road construction to the user.

In this paper, the main objective is to determine the mechanical responses due to the axial forces on thrust bearing for an automotive turbocharger. The rotating shaft in a turbocharger is supported by the bearings, usually oil-lubricated radial journal bearings and a thrust bearing. The axial forces acting on the thrust bearing have significant influences on the mechanical friction losses, which reduces the efficiency and performance of high-speed turbocharger. There are simple well-known formulas such as Petroff’s equation for calculating the mechanical frictional losses in these types of bearings. However, it's difficult to estimate the accurate axial forces from this formula. Thus, this work determined the relationship between thrust forces and strains by measuring and calculating the strains on thrust bearing and compared both results. The result shown that behaviors of axial strain are changed linear and non-linear depend on the boundary condition. Therefore, it’s possible to predict the magnitudes of the axial forces by measuring the strains under operating turbocharger.
Improvement in Steam Stripping of Sour Water through an Industrial-Scale Simulation

Sour water containing hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen cyanide, and ammonia is mainlypurified by steam stripping. Increased concern in recent times over effluent water quality and energy saving has causedsour water striping to atract considerable attention. However, the development of the operation methodology andstructure of this process has not ben systemic, leading to inefficiencies in the systems commonly used. In this paper,the characteristics of a sour water stripping column are investigated by using an industrial-scale simulation. From theseresults, we propose several guidelines (high fed temperature, low composition of CO2 in the feed, need of rectifyingsection, low mass flow rate of the second recycle stream, high reflux ratio, and modified structure using a pump-aroundside cooler) for improving stripper performance through changes in the operating condition and process structure. Theproposed structure and guidelines can be applied not only to reduce steam consumption and lower the ammonia con-centration in the effluent water but also to operate the system stably.

포스포리파제 C-감마1$(phospholipase\;C-{\gamma}\;1;\;PLC-{\gamma}\;1)$은 활성화될 경우 세포 내의 이차전령인 inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate$(IP_3)$와 diacylglycerol(DG)을 생성하는 중요한 세포 신호전달 분자이다. 튜불린은 미세소관과 방추사의 주요 구성 단백질로서 알파형과 베타형의 두 가지 동위형이 있는데 이들은 모든 진핵세포에 존재하면서 이형 이합체를 형성한다. 이 중 베타형 튜불린은 사람의 경우 6종의 또 다른 동위형이 존재하는 것으로 밝혀졌는데 이들은 각 조직에서 그 발현양상이 서로 다르게 나타난다. 이전의 연구에서 우리들은 $PLC-{\gamma}\;1$과 4종의 베타튜불린 동위형 즉, ${\beta}1$, ${\beta}2$, ${\beta}3$ 및 ${\beta}6$이 세포 내에서 서로 결합할 수 있으며 또한 외부의 자극이 전달될 경우 이들 4종의 동위형이 $PLC-{\gamma}\;1$을 활성화시켜 준다는 사실을 보고한 바 있다. 이번 실험에서는 이전의 연구에서 조사하지 못하였던 베타 튜불린의 나머지 두 가지 동위형 즉, ${\beta}4$및 ${\beta}5$가 $PLC-{\gamma}\;1$에 결합하여 $PLC-{\gamma}\;1$의 활성을 증가시켜줌으로서 세포 내에서의 신호전달계를 조절하고 있음을 확인하였다. 이 결과는 이전의 연구결과와 연관 지워볼 때, 6종의 모든 베타형 튜불린은 세포 외부의 자극이 있을 경우 $PLC-{\gamma}\;1$을 활성화시켜줌을 시사한다.

Background and Objectives Metabolic syndrome is a medical problem featured by the coexistenceof several risk factors such as, heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. The associationbetween metabolic syndrome and incidental paranasal sinusitis has not been definitely provedyet. This study was established to prove if metabolic syndrome might be related to incidentalparanasal sinusitis. Subjects and Method Of 5682 patients who had undergone brain MRI for regular checkupsbetween 2011 and 2018 at Kangbuk Samsung Health Care Center, we analyzed 2882 caseswith normal sinus and incidental paranasal sinusitis that had been deciphered by specializedradiologists. Data of various components of metabolic syndrome were also used. Multivariablelogistic regression analysis was performed to calculate the odds ratio (OR) of having incidentalparanasal sinusitis between subjects with metabolic syndrome components and thosewithout. Results Of 2882 patients aged over 18 years (mean age, 51.8±9.47 years; 55.4% male), 353incidental paranasal sinusitis subjects (232 male with mean age of 51.39±9.27 years and 121female with mean age of 52.43±9.69 years) were identified. Metabolic syndrome was identifiedin 554 patients. The adjusted OR of having incidental paranasal sinusitis was 3.03 (95%confidence interval [CI]: 1.58-5.83) in female with metabolic syndrome. In female, the adjustedOR of having incidental paranasal sinusitis was 2.10 (95% CI: 1.20-3.67) in those with lowhigh density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol (<50 mg/dL) and 1.83 (95% CI: 1.06-3.16) in thosewith higher body mass index (BMI) (≥25 kg/m2). Conclusion Results of this study suggest that female with metabolic syndrome, low HDLcholesterol, and high BMI have higher risks for incidental paranasal sinusitis.
