HFC 망에서 트래픽의 종류에 따른 IEEE 802.14와 MCNS 의 MAC 성능비교

Bidirectional cable TV networks using HFC(Hybrid Fiber Coaxial) networks need MAC (Medium access control) protocols to have efficient access in upstream channels. In this paper, we have studied and evaluated several contention resolution algorithms and mapping of higher layer traffic described in IEEE 802.14 and MCNS (Multimedial Cable Network System) MAC protocols with respect to IP, ABR and CBR traffic types. IEEE 802.14 MAC protocol demonstrates better performance for transmitting ATM cells while the MCNS MAC protocols for the IP traffic.

Since 1960's, in the complex tendencies appeared in various development of fine arts. It has the difference of the characteristic of expression in the early 20th century. It has relations between contemporary architecture and modern painting, as a result of analysis the basic contents of the plastic as purity art. This study aims the extraction of art meaning and the characteristic of expression of contemporary architecture through the interrelationship between contemporary architecture and modem painting on the basis of the movements, the contents of expression and the form of expression since 1960's.

The IEEE-1394 High Performance Serial Bus provides the real-time isochronous transport with capability of bandwidth reservation, however, there is a problem that isochronous bandwidth is used inefficiently on transmitting multimedia data with variable rate via the isochronous transport. To improve utilization of isochronous bandwidth, this paper proposes a bandwidth stealing technique to be able to recognize available isochronous bandwidth without any effects on current isochronous transmissions with reserved bandwidths, standard nodes and extended nodes with the bandwidth stealing technique can be connected together on the same bus. The ABR-1394 transport enables applications to utilize available isochronous bandwidth efficiently. In the respect of the utilization of available bandwidth, ABR-1394 is similar to the ABR service of ATM, however, it is different in that an ABR-1394 node itself can do flow control independently without any help from the network.
