Purpose: The aim of this study was to compare quality of life of long-term survivors after a subtotal or a total gastrectomy for gastric cancer. Materials and Methods: The European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) QLQ-C30 questionnaire and QLQ-STO22 questionnaire were used to assess quality of life of 166 patients on their 5th annual follow-ups after gastrectomy for gastric cancer. One hundred twenty-six patients underwent a subtotal gastrectomy and 40 patients a total gastrectomy. Results: The subtotal gastrectomy group revealed a trend to have better quality of life in functional scales (physical, role, emotional, cognitive and social), fatigue, pain, dyspnea, diarrhea and financial difficulties. The total gastrectomy group showed a trend to have better quality of life in the global health status and quality of life, nausea and vomiting, insomnia, appetite loss and constipation. In all scales of the EORTC QLQ-STO22, the subtotal gastrectomy group had a trend to have better quality of life. However these did not reach the statistical significance. Conclusion: Surgeons may not limit the extent of resection concerning long-lasting poor quality of life. Oncologically sound resection is recommended.

In urban areas, runoff flow is drained through sewer networks as well as surface areas. Therefore, it is very important to consider sewer networks as a component of hydrological drainage processes when conducting urban inundation modelling. However, most researchers who have implemented urban inundation/flood modelling, instinctively simplified the sewer networks without the appropriate criteria. In this research, a 1D-2D fully coupled urban inundation model is applied to estimate the influence of sewer network simplification on urban inundation modelling based on the dendritic network classification. The one-dimensional (1D) sewerage system analysis model, which was introduced by Lee et al. (2017), is used to simulate inlet and overflow phenomena by interacting with surface flow. Two-dimensional (2D) unstructured meshes are also applied to simulate surface flow and are combined with the 1D sewerage analysis model. Sewer network pipes are simplified based on the dendritic network classification method, namely the second and third order, and all cases of pipes are conducted as a control group. Each classified network case, including a control group, is evaluated through their application to the 27 July 2011 extreme rainfall event, which caused severe inundation damages in the Sadang area in Seoul, South Korea. All cases are compared together regarding inundation area, inflow discharge and overflow discharge. Finally, relevant criterion for the simplification method is recommended.
멀티미디어 자료를 활용한 교육용 프로젝트기반 웹사이트 개발

프로젝트기반 학습은 학생들의 탐구력 향상과 창의성 신장에 많은 효과가 있음에도 불구하고 학교 정규수업 시간에 이를 수행하기에는 여러 가지로 제약이 따랐다. 그러나 최근에 인터넷이 널리 보급되면서 기존의 학교 수업에서의 시공간의 제약을 해결하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 프로젝트 주제와 관련된 멀티미디어 자료를 사용하고 인터넷 서비스를 활용하여 학생들이 지속적으로 프로젝트에 참여할 수 있도록 하고 프로젝트 진행과정을 모두 볼 수 있는 프로젝트 기반 웹사이트를 개발하고 구현하였다. 개발한 웹사이트의 타당성을 검증하기 위해서 초등학교 4학년 한반을 대상으로 30일에 걸쳐 프로젝트를 진행한 결과 학생 중심의 자기주도적 학습 능력과 새로운 주제 발굴에 대한 탐구력이 향상되었다.

Using existing tunnel for section enlargement and remodeling is being considered as an optimal alternative in order to solve traffic jam in tunnel. The existing method has been performed while blocking the traffic flow. Recently, New enlargement method was developed which can maintain traffic flow during the construction by using protector. It can minimize social loss due to keeping traffic flow. On the other hand, installing and operating protector can cause economic disadvantages. So, social cost estimation considering traffic flow should be considered for relevant economic evaluation of tunnel section enlargement methods. This paper presents the social cost estimation method of tunnel section enlargement methods considering traffic flow. In addition, to compare economic efficiency existing method with new method, suggested method was applied to Maebong Tunnel.

In this study we compared three models for small area estimation, Fay-Herriot, Hierarchical Bayses model and spatio-temporal model about charter, monthly rent price index. Charter, monthly rent price of Korea are important issue in these days. Because housing type rapidly changes from self to charter and monthly rent. The accuracy of the estimation was checked on four scales, that is ARB, ASRB, AAB, ASD. In this result, the spatio-temporal model among applied models has most optimal scales about small area estimation of charter and monthly rent index.

CNC 가공에 있어서 가공정밀도와 생산성을 동시에 향상시킬 수 있는 기술의 개발이 필수적이다. 이러한 고정밀 고속가공을 위하여 이 논문에서는 신경망을 이용한 이송속도 신경망 적응제어 기법을 제안한다. 이 제어기는 신경망을 이용한 모사기와 이 신경망의 인버젼 알고리듬을 통한 반복학습 제어기로 구성된다. 신경망 모사기는 CNC 시스템의 비선형성과 불확실성으로 인한 이송속도와 윤곽오차 사이의 비선형 특성을 모사하고, 신경망 인버젼 방법과 목적 함수의 정의를 통해 반복학습 제어기법으로 허용 오차 내에서 최적의 이송속도를 실시간으로 구해 냄으로써 가공 성능을 향상시킨다.제안한 방법은 원, 코너, 인볼루트 윤곽 가공의 모의 실험을 통하여 성공적으로 평가되었다. Finding a technique to achieve high machining precision and high productivity is an important issue for CNC machining. One of the solutions to meet better performance of machining is feedrate control. In this paper we present an adaptive feedrate neuro-control method for high precision and high speed machining. The adaptive neuro-control architecture consists of a neural network identifier(NNI) and an iterative learning control algorithm with inversion of the NNI. The NNI is an identifier for the nonlinear characteristics of feedrate and contour error, which is utilized in iterative learning for adaptive feedrate control with specified contour error tolerance. The proposed neuro-control method has been successfully evaluated for machining circular, corner and involute contours by computer simulations.

This paper describes the forming of fine gear housing using RP system. In order to apply 3D model formed through CAD software to RP system, it is necessary of transforming 3D model into STL file format. Besides, when the same shape is formed repetitively, we must solve the program that the shape accuracy of prototype is irregular. Therefore, we will make an experiment on influence of 3D model, file transformation and prototype on facetres, AutoCAD system value. On the basis of experimental result, we will develop an automatic file transformation program for RP. In the final process, we will manufacture on a better prototype according to the experiment result of fine gear housing.
자동화 굴삭로봇의 운용단위 작업계획수립을 위한 로컬영역설계모듈 개발

오늘날 숙련된 굴삭기 운전자의 부족현상은 갈수록 심화되고 있으며, 자원개발 및 새로운 생활공간 창출 등을 목적으로 운전자가 접근하기 어려운 극한환경에서 토공작업의 필요성이 증가함에 따라 전 세계적으로 토공완전자동화를 위한 무인화 굴삭로봇 개발의 노력이 경주되고 있다. 국내에서도 지난 2006년 말부터 국토해양부 건설기술혁신사업의 일환으로 '지능형 굴삭시스템' 연구단을 구성하여 연구를 지속하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 지능형 굴삭시스템의 작업계획생성시스템이 갖추어야 할 세부요소기술 중, 굴착작업의 위치, 범위, 목표, 순차 등 굴삭로봇의 운용단위 작업명령정보를 생성하기 위한 정보화단위를 제공하는 로컬영역설계모듈의 연구개발내용에 대하여 설명한다. 로컬영역의 설계는 굴삭로봇의 제원, 작업메커니즘, 휴리스틱 및 구조적안전성 등 여러 영향요소가 고려되어야 안전하고 효율적인 굴착작업을 보장하는 작업계획을 생성할 수 있다. 따라서 로컬영역의 설계요소를 분석하기 위하여 현장조사를 통한 개념적 설계를 수행하고, 상세설계를 통해 설계변수를 도출하였으며, 휴리스틱 및 구조적 해석요건을 만족하도록 설계내용을 정량화하였다. 마지막으로 로컬영역설계모듈을 개발하기 위한 알고리즘을 구축하고, 개발된 모듈을 검증하였다.
선형기반 시설물을 위한 Flexible BIM 시스템의 설계

Despite the significant benefits of BIM (Building Information Modeling), it is not being vitalized for the facilities that are designed based on the horizontal and vertical alignments because of the lack of flexibility in manipulating surface models generated based on alignments. Alignment-based design produces a surface model in one piece through the definition of the typical cross-section along the alignment. Therefore, linking these alignment-based 3D surface models, that are not modularized and difficult to partition, to the required attribute information is very difficult This paper presents design of a flexible BIM technology suitable for the alignment-based civil infrastructure by providing the partitioning functionality for surface models, the contents library for cross-sectional design components, and the attribute information along with the critical functionalities needed for the design, construction and maintenance of alignment-based civil infrastructure.
LCCA기반 터널 자산관리 시스템 개발을 위한 연구개발 프레임웍 설계

As many parts of Korea are mountainous, many tunnels have been constructed to be in step with rapid economic development since 1970's. However, the interest on maintenance of tunnels is far less than the awareness of need for tunnels. As the tunnel maintenance system is the responsive maintenance system which responds to the problems found during the inspection, it will be very difficult to respond to each problem with the limited budget and manpower of the government agencies when the number of aged tunnels rapidly increase in the future. As such, this study presents the need for the LCCA (Life Cycle Cost Analysis) based tunnel asset management system to transform the tunnel maintenance to a preventive management system in a strategic and long-term viewpoint and proposes the framework for development direction. It observed the asset management implementation cases of social infrastructure in other countries and analyzed the need for asset management technique to manage the tunnels in Korea. Moreover, it applied the LCCA model, which is the economic and engineering quantitative decision making technique, for tunnel asset management to present the concrete direction for development of an asset management model and designed the R&D framework to systemize it.
