This case study was performed to assess the effectiveness of taping therapy for the patient who have patellofemoral joint pain during knee extension exercise. The results were as follows: 1. Pain degree of VAS was decreased at every taping therapy. 2. A number of knee extension was increased at every taping therapy. 3. Diameter of quadriceps was increased at every taping therapy. 4. Pattern of gait was normalized at every taping therapy. We found improve of pain degree, a number of knee extension, diameter of quadriceps, and pattern of gait. These results are imply that taping therapy may have effectiveness to those who have patellofemoral joint pain during knee extension exercise.

Purpose: Stenosing tenosynovitis is a stenosing condition of the sheath of the abductor pollicis longus and extensor pollicis brevis tendons at the radial styloid process. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of kinesio taping on the pain and grip power in patients with de Quervain's disease. Method: 20 female with de Quervain's disease was recruited. This procedure was performed with or without taping procedure. Pain levels were assessed using a visual analogue scale, and spherical and pinch grip powers were assessed using a dynamometer. Results: 1. Resting pain, Finkelstein test pain, and Tenderness using VAS scale was showed significantly reduced after taping application(p<0.01). 2. Spherical grip power using dynamometer was showed significantly increased after taping application(p<0.01). 3. Pinch grip power using dynamometer was showed significantly increased after taping application(p<0.01). Conclusion: So we thought that kinesio taping therapy had effects on the pain release and grip power increasing to the small or local muscle groups and joints.

Lateral epicondylitis is characterized by pain at the lateral aspect of the elbow, commonly associated with resisted wrist or finger extension and gripping activities. Lateral epicondylitis is also known such as lateral epicondylosis, tennis elbow, or tendonitis of the wrist extensor muscles, especially extensor carpi radialis brevis. Lateral epicondylitis is a common musculoskeletal lesion in the clinical states, so physical therapist usually meet a patients who has the lateral epicondylitis. But many of physical therapists are treating patients based on a self know-how, so I want to describe a systematically about lateral epicondylitis and give a objective information on the lateral epicondylitis. And now I want that they will be treat patients with lateral epicondylitis not a self-experience but based on a objective information.
Endodontic treatment of maxillary lateral incisors with anatomical variations
이문환,하정홍,진명욱,김영경,김성교 대한치과보존학회 2013 Restorative Dentistry & Endodontics Vol.38 No.4
Maxillary lateral incisors usually exhibit a single root with a single canal. However, maxillary lateral incisor teeth with unusual morphology of root canal system are frequently reported. These cases of variable root canal anatomy can be treated well by nonsurgical endodontic methods. A detailed description of root canal morphology is fundamental for successful endodontic treatment. Treatment using an operating microscope, radiographs from different angles, and cone-beam computerized tomography (CBCT) can produce more predictable endodontic outcomes.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of Kinesio taping(KT) on the maximal power and muscle activity of erector spinae. 30 male subjects were allocated in this study and randomly divided into experimental and control groups. All subjects were measured for maximal power of trunk extensors and muscle activities of iliocostalis lumborum, longissimus, and multifidus between pre and post experiment. Maximal power was calculated using a dynamometer(Power Track Ⅱ, JTECH medical, USA), and muscle activities were calculated using a surface EMG(MP150 BIOPAC System Inc. CA. USA). Maximal power of trunk extensor showed no significant difference between pre and post intervention in both groups(p>0.05). Muscle activity of iliocostalis lumborum, longissimus, and multifidus showed no significant difference between pre and post intervention(p>0.05). Finally, there was no significant difference between Experimental and control group in maximal power and muscle activity of trunk extensor. These study results suggested that KT did not affect increase or decrease in maximal power and muscle activities of trunk extensor.

Taumatic pulmonary pseudocyst is a rare complication of chest bunt trauma. Recently, we experienced a case of traumatic pulmonary pseudocyst in right lower lobe. The patient`s anterior chest was directly strucken by steering wheel and his car was intervened between two cars. He complained of both chest pain and dyspnea. He was diagnosed as multiple rib fractures with pulmonary contusion, initially. And then the right pulmonary lesion changed to traumatic pulmonary pseudocyst in 10 days after trauma. He was treated sucessfully with conservative management. In this article, we present the case and review the traumatic pulmonary pseudocyst with related articles.
