        탈지분유 함유 식이를 섭취하는 흰쥐에서 칼슘과 비타민 D 수준이 무기질 대사에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of calcium (Ca) and vitamin D (vit. D) levels on metabolism of various minerals such as Ca, P, Mg, Fe, Zn, Cu, and Cr. The comparison was made on the rats that were placed on diet containing powdered skim milk with different Ca and vit. D levels for 5 weeks. A total of 42 5-week-old Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into 7 groups as follows: Control group consisted of normal Ca and normal vit. D (0.5% Ca, 1,000 IU vit. D); Experimental groups were divided into low (0.25%) and high (1.0%) calcium levels; and vit. D group was divided into low (10 IU), normal (1,000 IU), and high (5,000 IU) subgroups. The weight gain and food efficiency ratios of the rats were not significantly different with increasing dietary Ca levels. The absorption rates of 7 minerals (Ca, P, Mg, Fe, Zn, Cu, and Cr) were significantly decreased with increasing dietary Ca levels. Also, fecal excretion of P significantly increased with increasing dietary vit. D levels (p<0.05), and urine excretion of Fe was significantly increased with increasing dietary vit. D levels (p<0.001). The result indicated that higher Ca intake affected on bioavailability of other minerals, due to interactions among minerals in the process of intestinal absorption. However, vitamin D intake had no effect on bioavailability of several minerals. Therefore, it could be suggested that adequate Ca intake is important for balance of the minerals.

        위화(胃火) 1호(號)로 호전(好轉)된 만성위염(慢性胃炎) 환자(患者) 치험(治驗) 2례(例)

        Objective: This study was designed to investigate the effect of Wihwa herbal-acupuncture on chronic gastritis. Methods: Wihwa herbal-acupuncture was administered two times a week. The following points were selected: CV12(中脘), CV13(上脘), S36(足三里), Liv3(太衝). We checked pain rating score(P.R.S.), visual analogue scale (V.A.S.) and Gastroscopy. Results: After 6 weeks of treatment, the patient showed that clinical symtoms was disappeared, Lee's P.R.S. changed from 77 to 8 and Park's P.R.S. from 55 to 0 and gastric erosion disappeared on gastroscopy. Conclusions: These results suggest that and Wihwa herbal-acupuncture has good effect on chronic gastritis. But further studies are required to concretely prove the effectiveness of Wihwa herbal-acupuncture for treating chronic gastritis.

        급성 폐쇄각녹내장에서 합병증을 중심으로 본 초음파유화술의 임상결과

        Purpose: To evaluate the intraoperative and postoperative complications and outcomes of phacoemulsification of cataract in eyes with prior iriodotomy for acute angle closure glaucoma. Methods: This retrospective case-control study included 30 eyes which underwent phacoemulsification. All 30 eyes had prior acute angle closure treated by laser iridotomy (ACG group). A second group that had phacoemusification for cataract only served as control (Control group). Results: The ACG group showed significantly shallow anterior chamber (1.56±0.18 mm) and short axial length (22.32±0.60 mm). At 2 months after surgery, visual acuity was improved in both groups and IOP was significantly decreased in the ACG group. Posterior synechiae, small pupil and zonulysis were more commonly found in the ACG group than the control group. Intraoperative iris trauma and postoperative persistent mydriasis were also more common in the ACG group. Conclusions: During cataract surgery in eyes with prior iriodotomy for acute angle closure glaucoma, there are many preoperative risk factors such as shallow anterior chamber, zonulysis, and small pupil. These increase the risk of posterior capsule rupture and bullous keratopathy. To reduce the complications and improve the visual acuity, a careful preoperative examination and proper intra- and post-operative management by skillful surgeons are needed.

        휴대형 자동, 수동형 및 탁상형 자동 각막곡률검사기로 측정한 각막곡률의 신뢰성

        Purpose: To compare the keratometry measurements by the handheld Nikon Retinomax K-plus2, the on-table Canon RK-5 autokeratometer, and the manual Topcon OM-4 keratometer and to evaluate the degree of agreement among the three instruments. Methods: Adults (n=30) and children (n=40) presenting toa tertiary eye hospital clinic were examined by an optometrist. Topcon OM-4 keratometer, Nikon Retinomax and the on-table Canon RK-5 autokeratometer analyses were performed in order. The horizontal and vertical keratometry data were measured. The vector components of astigmatism, mean bias and agreement among the three types of measurements were evaluated. Results: There were no significant differences among the three keratometers in horizontal or vertical keratometry or in central corneal astigmatism in both the adult and child groups (p-value>0.05). The keratometers which were estimated with Retinomax K-plus2 were highly correlated with those by on-table RK-5 autokeratometer (min. 0.89, max. 0.97) and Topcon OM-4 keratometer (min. 0.67, max. 0.94) in the adult group, while in the child group, the three instruments showed slightly decreased correlation (min. 0.45, max. 0.97 on RK-5, min. 0.36, max. 0.92 on OM-4), especially in the left eyes. Conclusions: The handheld Retinomax K-plus2 provided comparable data to that of the conventional on-table Topcon and manual keratometers. This instrument will beuseful in the clinic to measure keratometry in children or immobilized patients who have difficulty sitting during the examination.

        각막굴절교정수술 이후 안압 상승의 위험인자

        Purpose: To investigate changes in intraocular pressure (IOP) after corneal refractive surgery and determine risk factors associated with increased IOP (IIOP). Methods: This retrospective observational study was comprised of 450 eyes of 225 patients, each of whom had corneal refractive surgery in Seoul National University Hospital between January 2004 and January 2008, and were followed for more than one month. IIOP was defined as IOP above 130% of the predicted IOP, adjusted according to corneal thickness and repeated more than twice after postoperative 1 week or after anti-glaucoma medication was needed. Correlation and stratified regression analyses were performed for eyes with myopia and IIOP. Logistic regression analysis was performed to assess risk factors of IIOP and need for medication. Results: IIOP was detected in 22.2%, and anti-glaucoma medication was required in 12.0%, of eyes. The mean IIOP of the medication group was 5.6 ± 3.4 mmHg. Stratified regression analysis showed that the proportion of IIOP did not differ significantly by the degree of myopia. Logistic regression analysis revealed that statistically significant risk factors of IIOP were female gender, preoperative low IOP, and thicker cornea. The statistically significant risk factor of need for medication was the corneal thickness. Conclusions: Thick corneal thickness was found to be a significant risk factor of IIOP after corneal refractive surgery was performed, and IIOP was not affected by the degree of myopia.         자동차용 박강판 겹치기 이음부의 CO<sub>2</sub> 아크 용접에서 다중회귀분석기법을 이용한 용입깊이 예측에 대한 연구

        Welding is an essential process in the automotive industry. Most welding processes that are used for auto body are spot welding and $CO_2$ welding are used in a small part. In production field, $CO_2$ welding process is decreased and spot welding process is increased due to welding quality is poor and defects are occurred in $CO_2$ welding process frequently. But $CO_2$ welding process should be used at robot interference parts and closed parts where spot welding couldn't. Because of the 0.65mm ~ 2.0mm thickness steel sheet were used in the automotive industry, poor quality of welding area such as burn through and under fill were happened frequently in $CO_2$ process. In this paper, we will study about the penetration depth which gives a huge impact on burn through changing a degree of base metal, welding position and torch angle. Voltage, current and welding speed were fixed but degree of base metal, welding position and torch angle were changed. And Cold- Rolled(CR) steel sheet was used. Penetration depth was analysed by multiple regression analysis to derive approximate calculations. And reliability of approximate calculations were confirmed through additional experiments. As the results of this research, we confirmed the effect of torch and plate angle to bead shape. And we present a possibility that can simulate more accurate to weld geometry, as deduced the verification equations that has tolerance of less than 21.69%.

        차체 플러그 용접품질에 영향을 미치는 아크 위치에 대한 실험적 기초 연구

In production field, $CO_2$ arc welding process is decreased and spot welding process is increased due to welding quality is poor and defects are occurred in $CO_2$ arc welding process frequently. But $CO_2$ arc welding process should be used at robot interference parts and closed parts where spot welding couldn't. $CO_2$ welding is divided into lap welding and plug arc spot welding. In case of plug arc spot welding, burn through and under fill were caused in various welding environment such as different thickness combinations of base metal, teaching point, over the two steps welding and inconsistent voltage/current. It makes some problem like poor quality of welding area and decrease the productivity. In this study, we will evaluate the effect of teaching point through the weld pool behavior and bead geometry in the arc spot welding at the plut hole. Welding position is horizontal position. And galvanized steel sheet of 2.0mm thickness that has plug hole of 6mm diameter was used. Teaching point was changed by center, top, bottom, left and right of the plug hole. At each condition, the phenomenon of weld pool behavior was confirmed using a high-speed camera. As the result, we find the center of plug hole is the most optimal teaching point. In the other teaching point, under fill was occurred at the plug hole. This phenomenon is caused by gravity and surface tension. For performance of arc spot welding at the plug hole, the teaching condition should be controlled at a center of plug hole.

        Oligonucleotide chip를 이용한 홍화자약침액(紅花子藥鍼液)이 간암세포주(肝癌細胞柱)의 유전자(遺傳子) 발현(發顯)에 미치는 영향(影響)

        Objective : It has long been known about the osteogenic effect of CTF-HAS on bone tissues. However, it has not been determined the effect of CTF-HAS on cancer cells. The purpose of this study is to screen the CTF-HAS mediated differentially expressed genes in cancer cells such as HepG2 hepatoma cells lines. Oligonucleotide microarray approach were employed to screen the differential expression genes. Methods : CTF-HAS was prepared by boiling and stored at $-70^{\circ}C$ until use. Cells were treated with various concentrations of CTF-HAS(0.1, 0.5, 1.5, 10, $20mg/m{\ell}$) for 24 h. Cytotoxicity was tested by MTT assay. To screen the differentially expressed genes in cancer cells, cells were treated with $1.5mg/m{\ell}$ of CTF-HAS. For oligonucleotide microarray assay, total RNA was used for gene expression analysis using oligonucleotide genechip (Human genome U133 Plus 2.0., Affimatrix Co.). ResuIts : It has no cytotoxic effects on HepG2 cells in all concentrations (0.1, 0.5, 1.5, 10, $20mg/m{\ell}$). More than twofold up-regulated genes were 19 genes. The number of more than twofold down-regulated genes was 13. Discussion : This study showed the screening of CTF-HAS mediated differentially regulated genes using combined approaches of oligonucleotide microarray. The screened genes will be used for the better understanding in therapeutic effect of CTF-HAS on cancer field.
