Objectives: The subject of this research is the catechism on medicine between the doctors of Joseon and Japan in the 18th century through Choson Delegation(朝鮮通信使 ). Methods: The author intended to review and analyze the contents of catechism related to Acupuncture and Moxibustion and determined the characteristics of Joseon and Japan ?s Acupuncture and Moxibustion. Results: At the time, Japanese doctors had a grasp on most theories of Acupuncture and Moxibustion and were very specialized clinically. They usually used filiform needles with various techniques, and already they had many different schools in practice. However, they wanted to know if their Acupuncture and Moxibustion skills were up to the international standard, especially to Joseon, whom they regarded as a country advanced in Acupuncture and Moxibustion. They wanted to com- pare and contrast their Acupuncture and Moxibustion with Joseon's. 18th century Joseon was high time for Acupuncture and Moxibustion. Various tools were used in surgery, and varieties of needles were used to stimulate acupuncture points. The development of tools evinces the precision of Joseon's Acupuncture and Moxibustion at the time. Also, comprehensive works such as DongUiBoGam(東醫寶鑑) and UiHaklpMun( 醫學入門) greatly influenced Acupuncture and Moxibustion. Because of this impact, it can be deduced that Acupuncture and Moxibustion emphasizing Jang(臟) and Bu(腑) organs and Internal Injury developed greatly. In addition, acupuncturist Holm(許任)'s fame continued from the 17th century into the 18th century, and his medical practice left a huge mark on not only Joseon but other eastern Asian countries as well. Conclusions: We found out the evidences that there were a lot of exchanges of acupuncture and moxibustion between Korea and Japan based of the Joseon TongShinSa (Emissary)'s record of catechism on medicine in the 18th century.
하상 인공구조물에 의해 유도되는 지하수-하천수 시스템의 상호작용

This study investigated the interaction between groundwater and stream water systems, which is caused by the artificial weir on streambed, enforcing external stresses on the groundwater system. The study area is in Nami Natural Recreation Woods located in Chungcheongnam-do Geumsan-gun Nami-myeon Geoncheon-ri. In this study both of hydrophysical methods (hydraulic head) and hyrdochemical investigations (pH, EC, major ion analysis) were applied. In order to identify the relationship between each of study results, cross-correlation analysis is performed. From results of hydrophysical methods, water level fluctuation at BH-14, installed by the weir, shows the double-recession pattern much more frequently and much higher amplitudes than the fluctuation at each of other monitoring wells. Using the results by hydrochemical investigations, hydrochemical properties at BH-14 is similar to the hydrochemical characteristics in stream water. To analyze the interrelationships between the results from each of applied methods, cross-correlation analysis was applied. Results from the correlation analyses, water levels at BH-14 and stream weir showed the highest cross-correlation in hydrophysical aspects. On the other hand, the correlation between stream weir and bridge was the highest in hydrochemical aspects. The difference between the results from each of methods is due that the hydrophysical response at BH-14, such as water level, is induced by the pressure propagation-not with mass transfer, but the hydrochemical interaction, caused by mass transport, takes much more times. In conclusion impermeable artificial weir on streambed changes the interfacial condition between the stream and surrounding aquifers. The induced water flux into the groundwater system during flood period make water level at BH-14 increase instantly and groundwater quality higly similar to the quality of stream water. Referred similarities in both of water level and water quality at BH-14 become much higher when water level at weir grow higher.
Resonance Frequency Analysis(RFA)를 이용한 임플란트 종류간의 초기 안정성 비교

Purpose: The objective of this study was to compare initial implant stability measured by RFA between different implant systems during the initial healing period. Material and Methods: Fifty-four patients (36 males/18 females) who had been treated at the Department of Periodontology, Chonbuk National University Dental Hospital during the period between January and November in 2007 were included in the study. The mean age of the subjects was 49 years old (18 to 77). A total of 104 implants (Type A: 3i $Osseotite^{(R)}$, Type B: $Replace^{(R)}$ select, Type C: ITI implant) were placed following the manufacturer's standard surgical protocols. Implant stability quotient (ISQ) readings were obtained for each implant at the time of surgery, 2-, and 4-month postoperatively. Result: No implant was failed during the observation period. At the baseline, the difference between mean ISQ values of 3 implant systems was statistically significant (p<0.05). However, at 2-, and 4-month following implant surgery, no significant difference was observed between ISQ values of the implant systems. In the same implant, the ISQ values of Type B and C implants increased (p<0.05), but those of Type A implants decreased during the 2-month healing period. The mean ISQ values of Type B and C implants showed a increasing tendency, while those of Type A implants were stable for the 4-month follow-up period. Conclusion: Within limits of this study, it can be concluded that implant design and surface topography of implant might influence the ISQ value and changing pattern during the initial healing period.
적외선 스테레오 카메라를 이용한 소형 이동체의 거리 측정

본 논문에서는 스테레오 적외선 카메라를 이용하여 소형 및 고온으로 날아가는 이동체의 거리를 실시간으로 측정하는 시스템을 제안한다. 이동체와 주변 환경의 온도 차이를 측정하고 고속으로 이동하는 소형 이동체의 거리를 자동으로 측정하기 위하여 적외선 스테레오 카메라 시스템을 구축하였다. 우선 적외선 카메라를 이용하여 취득한 고온의 이동체 영상으로부터 주변의 온도분포와 이동체간의 온도차를 이용하여 이동체영역을 검출하고, 이동체의 움직임 정보와 적외선 카메라 영상의 밝기정보를 결합하여 이동체를 추적한다. 좌우 적외선 카메라 영상에 대하여 각각 추출된 이동체 영역을 중심으로 스테레오 정합을 수행하여 시차정보를 추정하고, 카메라 파라미터와 시차정보를 이용하여 실시간으로 이동하는 이동체의 거리를 추정한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 적외선 스테레오 카메라 시스템을 검증하기 위하여 고온의 이동체를 촬영할 때, 3차원 궤적(x,y,z) 측정기를 함께 가동하여 이동체가 이동하는 거리를 측정하여 이를 기준 거리(ground truth)로 설정하였다. 3차례의 비디오 데이터로부터 실험한 결과, 적외선 스테레오 카메라를 이용한 고온/소형 이동체의 거리오차 측정 결과는 평균적으로 9.68%로 추정되었다. 스테레오 적외선 카메라의 타이밍 문제(jitter)를 고려하면, 실제로 추정 오차는 줄어들 것으로 판단되기 때문에, 향후 적외선 카메라를 이용하는 다양한 이동체의 거리 및 위치를 측정하는데 응용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. This paper proposes a real-time distance measurement system of high temperature and high speed target using infrared stereo camera. We construct an infrared stereo camera system that measure the difference between target and background temperatures for automatic target measurement. First, the proposed method detects target region based on target motion and intensity variation of local region using difference between target and background temperatures. Second, stereo matching by left and right target information is used to estimate disparity about real-time distance of target. In the proposed method using infrared stereo camera system, we compare distances in three dimension trajectory measuring instrument and in infrared stereo camera measurement. In this experiment from three video data, the result shows an average 9.68% distance error rate. The proposed method is suitable for distance and position measurement of varied targets using infrared stereo system.

Objectives : The Dongui Bogam in My Hand', which is an output of computerizing Donguibogam (Principles and Practice of Eastern Medicine), is an interim outcome of the research project led by the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine. This study examined the process in which Donguibogam, a record in Chinese and a classic of Oriental medicine, expanded into a modern content. Methods : This study will classify the modernization of Donguibogam into three 'contents' that form Donguibogam, 'container' that will hold the contents, and 'community' that is the consumer of Donguibogam. Towards the end, this study will sketch out the status of computerizing Chinese records in Korea, and point out the reality faced by computerization of ancient documents on Oriental medicine as well as the direction for the future. Results : 'The Dongui Bogam in My Hand' has been downloaded more than 10,000 times for 4 months since it releases in August 2014, and is used for at least 6,000 times on average every month. This achievement can be due to the two following reasons. First, the application contains high-quality contents such as the original text of Donguibogam as well as Korean and English translations. Second, it satisfied the needs of Donguibogam users with ① the Browse function that well displays the table of contents, ② the Search function that separates the title from the main text, and ③ the Personalization function designed to link and share relevant knowledge. Conclusions : Computerization of Chinese records was triggered by the request of the academia, but it was accelerated after being selected as a public laboring project to overcome the IMF crisis. However, computerization of ancient documents is not a simple task but a field of study to modernize classical knowledge. The success or failure of computerization of Chinese records is determined by whether high-quality modern 'contents' are secured, whether the 'container' design adequately implements the search, browse and link functions, and how well it fulfills the needs of the consumer 'community'.

“Sikui-simgam (『食醫心鑑』, Book for Alimentotherapist)” written by Jameun, a doctor of Tang (唐) in the 9th century, propagated alimentotherapy in Korea, China, and Japan for a long time. In this study, Sikui-simgam medical theories were studied and the medicinal ingredients and types of food therapy were analyzed to understand alimentotherapy characteristics. “Sikui-simgam” is the first food therapy formulary diverged from herbal therapy forms. Various ingredients from “Sikui-simgam” show the food culture of the Tang age and report much about cooking and cultural history. Many prescriptions in the books are the origins of present-day food culture; thus, they are important clues to understand the present food culture. This book also describes actual prescriptions in detail. Various types of prescriptions with different ingredients are unique characteristics of food therapy and show the various possibilities for food therapy prescriptions. The food therapy prescriptions of “Sikui-simgam” were designed for medical specialists, as the book contains doses and incompatibilities for food therapy. Such food therapy prescriptions were used to treat diseases, so they were used with strict standards.

This study confirmed that a doctor named Lee, Seok-gan whose name has been widely known but whose real identity has remained unclear, was an active Confucian doctor in the 16th century. In addition, through the newly discovered 「Daeyakbu」among his family line, writings, and relics that have been handed down in a family, this study looked into his medical philosophy and medicine culture. The author of「Ieseokgangyeongheombang」(Medical Book by Lee, Seok-gan(李石澗), Seok-gan is the same person as an active famous doctor Lee, Seok-gan(李碩幹, 1509-1574) in the 16th century. Such a fact can be confirmed through「Samuiilheombang」,「Sauigyeongheombang」 and the newly opened 「Ieseokgangyeongheombang」. Lee, Seok-gan was born in the 4th ruling year of king Jungjong (1509) and was active as a doctor until the 7th ruling year of king Seonjo(1547); his first name is Jungim with the pen name-Chodang, and he used a doctor name of ‘Seokgan.’ He was known as a divine doctor, and there have been left lots of anecdotes in relation with Lee, Seok-gan. Legend has it that Seokgan went to China to give treatment to the empress, and a heavenly peach pattern drinking cup and a house, which the emperor bestowed on Seokgan in return for his great services, still have remained up to the present. Usually, Seokgan interacted with Toegye Lee Hwang and his literary persons, and with his excellent medical skills, Seokgan once gave treatment to Toegye at the time of his death free of charge. His medical skills have been handed down in his family, and his descendant Lee, Ui-tae(around 1700) compiled a medical book titled「Gyeongheombangwhipyeon(經驗方彙編)」. Out of Lee, Seok-gan’s keepsakes which were donated to Sosu museums by his descendant family, 4 sorts of ‘Gwabu’(writings of fruit trees) including 「Daeyakbu」 were discovered. It's rare to find a literary work left by a medical figure like this, so these discoveries have a deep meaning even from a medicine culture level. Particularly, 「Daeyakbu」 includes the typical “Uigukron”. The “Uigukron”, which develops its story by contrasting politics with medicine, has a unique writing style as one of the representative explanatory methods of scholars’ position during the Joseon Dynasty; in addition, the distinctive feature of “Uigukron” is that it was created in the form of ‘Gabu’ other than a prose.
Convolutional Neural Network Architecture 에 따른 Cone beam artifact 제거 성능 비교

CBCT(Cone beam CT) is widely used in diagnosis and treatment planning of implant dentistry, orthopedics, and interventional radiology. However, the reconstructed images by CBCT geometry generate cone beam artifacts, which would disturb lesion detectability and degrade diagnostic accuracy. In this work, we present convolutional neural network(CNN) based cone beam artifacts correction method, which is computationally efficient and achieve better performance in artifact correction. We compared the performance of the cone beam artifacts reduction via U-Net and ResNet models, which are trained with simulated CBCT images. Our result showed that U-Net performs better than ResNet in cone beam artifact reduction.
