The Henoch-Schnlein Purpura (HSP) is a systemic small vasculitis, characterized by palpable purpura, abdominal pain, hematuria or proteinuria, and arthritis. The etiology is unknown but it is manifested by allergic reaction, so it is called Anaphylactoid Purpura. The prognosis of disease is usually good, but about 50% of patients have experienced recurrences. Oral corticosteroid is treatment of choice, but it cannot prevent recurrence of Disease. We experienced two case of young patients who suffered from the Henoch-Schnlein purpura. We prescripted Mokyangbinrang-hwan, Insamyang-witang, Gwibi-tang. For both two patient, symptoms were much relieved.

The Tolosa-Hunt syndrome is a symptom complex with unilateral painful ophthalmoplegia associated with retro-orbital pain, proptosis and Ⅲ, Ⅳ, Ⅴ-1, Ⅵ cranial nerves palsy due to nonspecific granulomatous inflammation in the superior orbital fissure or cavernous sinus. We experienced a 50 years old female patient with Tolosa-Hunt syndrome who had several clinical signs and symptoms such as ocular pain, headache, sensory loss of face, diplopia, and visual disturbance. In the point of Differentiation of Syndrome(辨證). this subject was diagnosed as Deficiency of yin in liver and kidney(肝腎陰虛), and was administrated with Yangyeummyungmoktang-Gamibang. After treatment of acupuncture and herbal medicine above symptoms were improved.

SLE 유사 환자 치험 1례

Systemic lupus erythematosus is a disease of unknown etiology that affects many organ system and is characterized by the presence of multiple autoantibodies that participated in immunology mediated tissue injury. A 36 years-old female patient was admitted to ward due to high fever and erythematous rash on face and hole body. She exhibited itching sense, joint pain, nausea, fatigue, sensitivity to light. The homatologic finding revealed anemia, decrease of lymphocyte, low platelet count, but LE cell, Anti nuclear antibody(ANA) were negative. In the point of Differentiation of Syndrome(辨證), SLE can be thought to be a category of Seasonal febril disease(溫病). This subject diagnosed as Domination of intense evil heat(熱毒熾盛), and was administrated with Chungonpadocyem-gamibang(淸瘟敗毒飮加味方). The clinical and laboratory findings of our patient were improved by herb medication, acupuncture therapy and general supportive measure.

만형자 추출물이 염증 및 알레르기 반응에 미치는 영향

Objectives : This study was carried out to investigate the anti inflammatory and anti allergy effects of Vitex rotundifolia Linne fil. extract(VRE). Results : 1. In vitro test, VRE was used to determine the modulation of cytokine secretion, the activation of inflammatory and allergic factor and the inhibition of gene expression. The cell survival rate of Raw 264.7 and Jurkat T cells didn``t decrease and accordingly cytotoxicity wasn`t observed. In anti-allergic assay, the secretion of IL-2, TNF-α, IL-4, IL-5 and IFN-γ were suppressed on Jurkat T cells induced by dust mites. And the gene expression of COX-2 was suppressed in HMC-1 stimulated by calcium ionophore A23187. In anti-inflammatory assay, the gene expression of TNF-α, COX-2 were suppressed on LPS-activated Raw 264.7 cells. And the secretion of IL-6 and IL-8 were suppressed on EoL-1 cells induced by dust mites. P38 and ERK activation of MAPK decreased generally. VRE showed potent inhibitory activity of NO production. 2. In vivo test, we used NC/Nga mouse induced by atopic dermatitis to observe the effects of VRE on the weight, water and feed, blood test, weight of organs, total IgE and histological change of main organs. Quantity of water and feed were not changed, therefore it didn``t affect the weight directly, and no change was observed in related main organs, thus maybe there is no organ toxicity by test substances. And the symptoms were decreased significantly, and the thickness of epithelial cell layer and the number of mast cells were inhibited significantly by the difference of dosage. The number of total complete blood cells and IgE in serum were not changed significantly. Conclusion : These results suggest that VRE has anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effects. Therefore VRE could be used effectively on improvement or treatment of atopic dermatitis. However, further study is needed to prove which component of VRE indicates effective pharmacological action.

末梢性 眩暈을 主症狀으로 入院한 患者 1例에 對한 症例報告

Introduction: Vertigo is one of the common symptoms that we can see often clinically. It is hallucination to motion of oneself or surroundings. Vertigo include not only simple whirling sensation but also leaning or falling down sensation. Particularly in vestibular neuritis, the principal symptoms is dizziness and accompanied by nystagmus, gait imbalance, nausea, vomiting. Cause of vestibular neuritis is inflammatory disease such as common cold. Objective: The aim of this study was to estimate the efficacy of oriental-treatment on vestibular neuritis patient Subjects: We diagnosed one patient who had severe vertigo and gait imbalance as "dizziness retention of phlegm"(담훈) and treat orientally. Conclusion: After oriental-treatment for 15 days, walk balance was improved and no more vertigo was appeared. We could assume that in the vertigo and gait inbalance due to vestibular neuritis, the acupuncture and herbal medicine can be used.

정보통신 업종 대졸 초기 경력자의 이직의도와 이직행동 결정요인 분석

The purpose of the study was to examine the influential factors affecting the college graduating newcomers's turnover intention and behavior in information and technology industries. We adopted a panel survey data and analyzed the variables in terms of turnover. As the result of the study, we found that job satisfaction, job and skills match, wage and etc impacted on their turnover intention. In addition, educational level, job and skills match, work environment, corporate welfare level, turnover intention affected their turnover behavior in IT industries. However, their turnover behaviors varied by a series of influential factors, not just turnover intention variable. If the newcomers have the turnover intention, their intention behavior has been affected by organizational satisfaction, wage satisfaction, and welfare systems. Otherwise, their turnover behavior has been affected by the educational level, wage satisfaction, welfare system, union participation, and employment types. We suggest the need for stable policies that prevent newcomers from doing turnover in their industries. 본 연구의 목적은 IT업종에 진입한 3년 미만의 대졸 초기 경력자들을 대상으로 이들의 이직의도와 이직행동에 영향을 미치는 결정요인들을 파악하여 분석하는 것이다. 한국고용정보원의 대졸자 직업이동 경로조사 자료를 바탕으로 연구 대상자를 선별적으로 추출하고 변인들을 설정하였다. 연구결과, 이들이 이직을 하려고하는 태도나 성향에 영향을 미치는 요인들은 직무만족도, 업무와 기술 수준의 일치도, 임금만족도, 승진만족도, 노동조합 가입여부 요인 등이었다. 또한 실제 이직을 실행하도록 영향을 미치는 요인들은 교육수준, 업무와 기술수준 일치도, 복리후생, 근무환경, 이직의도 등이었다. 그러나 이러한 이직행동에 영향을 미치는 요인들은 이직 시, 대상자의 자발적인 이직의도가 있었는지 여부에 따라 다소 상이하였다. 이를 통해 IT업종의 대졸 초기 경력자들의 조기이직을 통제할 수 있는 방안들을 마련해야 한다는 점을 제언하였다.

양심탕가미방(養心湯加味方)으로 호전된 수장족저(手掌足底) 다한증(多汗症) 환자 4례 보고

Hyperhidrosis of the palms and soles is a disorder characterized by excessive sweating that occurs in the hands and feet and that cause severe psychological, social and/or professional disability. The pathophysiological cause is still unknown but the condition is related to over-activity in the Sympathetic Nervous System. We experienced four young patients with hyperhidrosis of the palms and soles that was thought to be initiated by emotional distress, nervousness, stressful situation and anxiety. In the point of Differentiation of Syndrome, this subject was diagnosed as consumptive fever of the Heart and a weakness of the Spleen and damp heat, and was administrated with Yangshimtang-Gamibang. After treatment of herbal medicine and acupuncture, hyperhidrosis and other symptoms of patients were improved.
