범죄과학에서 패턴증거에 해당하는 지문, 족적, 필적 등은 흔한 증거의 형태로 과학적인 분석을 통해 용의자를 범인으로 특정하는데 도움을 줄 수 있다. 그러나 현재까지도 패턴증거의 분석은 검사자의 주관과 경험에 의존하여 결론짓고 있다. 본 연구는 패턴증거 중 족적에 관한 분석을 주제로, 객관적인 이미지 매칭방법론인 MC-COMP를 응용하여 두 족적의 유사성을 수치화하는데 목표를 둔다. 두 족적 이미지로부터 corner, SURF, BRISK, ORB 기술자를 사용해 특징점을 추출하고, 최대 클릭 (maximum clique) 방법을 이용하여 두 이미지의 정렬한다. 두 이미지의 정렬이후, 3가지의 유사성 점수, 최대 클릭의 크기, 겹치는 정도, 중앙값의 거리차이를 계산하고, mated pair와 non-mated pair를 구성하여 유사성의 분포의 차이를 계산한다. 또한 족적증거의 형태가 온전치 않고 일부만 발견되는 현상을 응용하여, 두 이미지 중 하나에 대해 (1) toe, (2) middle-toe, (3) middle, (4) bottom으로 나눠 매칭을 시도하였다. 그 결과, 이미지 특징점 중 SURF와 corner가 이미지 매칭에 있어 가장 효과적인 것으로 나타났으며, 이미지가 일부만 매칭에 사용해야 하는 경우, middle 또는 bottom을 포함하는 것이 정보손실이 가장 적은 것으로 나타났다.
도시 지표 특성 반영을 통한 여름철 기온 통계적 상세화 개선

Due to the recent increase in heatwave intensity and frequency, there is a growing demand for high-resolution temperature information for heatwave impact assessment and response. Particularly in urban areas vulnerable to heatwaves, there is a need for high-resolution temperature information that reflects the unique characteristics of the urban surface. In this study, statistical interpolation using spatial information representing surface characteristics of urban areas in Korea was applied to downscale the 5km-resolution Korea Meteorological Administration temperature data to a finer 1km resolution. Using national spatial information, terrain variables reflecting topographical features were computed, as were urban surface variables representing the characteristics of urban areas. Applying terrain variables and urban surface variables, we statistically downscaled temperature information and analyzed temperature observations from meteorological stations operated by both the Korea Meteorological Administration and KT Telecommunication within the urban area. The temperature observation data from KT, which are from an urban environment, was more suitable for analyzing the downscaled data focusing on urban areas. In addition, the temperature downscaling results with the addition of urban surface variables produced more realistic urban temperatures compared to the temperature downscaling results using only terrain variables. The application of urban surface variables is expected to contribute to the production of realistic temperature data reflecting conditions according to the spatial distribution of urban areas. This can provide valuable information for analyzing urban heat vulnerability, establishing countermeasures, and developing plans to improve urban thermal environments.
도시지표특성 모수 적용을 통한 태양복사모델 개선 효과 분석

Sudden change in an urban thermal environment has an intimate effect on resident’s daily life, prompting increased interest in and demand for improvement of urban thermal environments. In order to improve the urban thermal environment, heat vulnerability information that reflects the actual physical environment is needed in a format that can be controlled as spatial information. In addition, a quantitative method is need to analyze heat stress, as experienced by urban residents. In this study, solar radiation flux simulation results for Seoul metropolitan’s main residential and commerce area are analyzed, and the accuracy of these results is enhanced by improving the urban simulation index. The SOLWEIG model is used in this study as it can simulate high-resolution solar radiation flux and mean radiant temperature using data such as the sky view factor, reflecting shapes of buildings and vegetation, shadow pattern, temperature, humidity, and solar radiation. In order to reflect domestic condition and geographical characteristics, a correlation equation of solar altitude angle and the difference in surface temperature and atmospheric temperature by land cover is derived. Based on this, a comparative analysis is performed on the simulation result using the SOLWEIG model and solar radiation observation data.

In this study, bacterial cellulose production from pure and crude glycerol by Gluconacetobacter xylinusKCCM 41431 was achieved under static culture condition. The effect of crude glycerol-derived inhibitorswas investigated (glycerol concentration, pH, and salts concentration). Significant inhibitory effects instatic cultivation were observed in the following conditions: above 40 g/L of initial glycerol concentration,pH 6, or 10 g/L of salts concentration. Especially, inhibition in bacterial cellulose production by G. xylinuswas strongly represented compared to the other bacteria. In addition, improvement of bacterial celluloseproduction was achieved with optimization of the culture medium composition. The highest bacterialcellulose productivity using pure and crude glycerol was 1.05 and 0.99 g/L/day, respectively.
동네예보 여름철 기온 자료의 상세화를 위한 통계적 내삽 방법의 비교

The purpose of this study is to find a method for generating high-resolution weather forecast data for predicting heat waves. Digital forecast data of 5km resolution provided by the KMA was detailed by 1km resolution by applying model output statistical methods. As a result of comparing the performance of each method during June-August 2018, GPRM showed better efficiency than IDW and Co-Kriging, and represented the interpolation surface topography and land cover effect well. In particular, due to the increased daily maximum temperature correction effect in the urbanized and agricultural area where people live, it is possible to provide more improved information on the demand for responding to the risk impact from the highest temperature in summer.
