This study aims to evaluate the sound insulation performance of Korean traditional paper(Hanji) windows as a material of environmental friendly building. Six types of traditional windows with 4 types of traditional window positions, were installed in l/2.5 scale model house. And then according to KS F 2235, comparative sound level differences between outdoor and indoor were measured. The main results are as follows; 1) TL(Transmission Loss) of Korean traditional paper windows, which cover one eighth of total balcony window, are ranged from 15 to 19 dB(A) in the living room and from 8 to 11 dB(A) in the balcony space. 2) TL of Korean traditional paper windows, which cover one fourth of total balcony window, are ranged from 10 to 19 dB(A) in the living room and from 8 to 10 dB(A) in the balcony space. 3) TL of Korean traditional windows with one side-one layer paper is ranged from 10 to 21 dB(A) and two side-one layer paper is 15 to 23 dB(A) and two side-two layer paper is 19 to 23 dB(A) respectively.

2001년 7월을 기하여 정보통신기반보호법이 발효되고 통신, 전력, 상수도 공항, 철도 정부주요 시설, 제1금융권 등 국가 주요 정보통신 기반시 설에 대해서 정보보호 감리가 의무화된다. 미국의 경우도 유럽의 강화된 정보보호지침에 대응하기 위해 2003년 발효 예정인 세이프 하버법에 대응하기 위한 각 기관, 단체, 기업들의 노력이 가시화되고 있다. 전세계의 정보보호 관련법이 각 자 자국의 이익을 중심으로 제정중인 시점에서 기술 분0티 전문가들이 좀 더 국가의 이익과 공공의 안녕에 부응하는 대응책을 마련하여 국익에 도움이 되는 방향으로 법제도가 운용될 수 있도록 관련법을 숙지해야 할 때이다. 그리고 전체 기술사들이 한마음으로 정치, 경제, 학술 등 각자 맡은 분야에서 분발 할 것을 촉구한다. As of July 1. 2001, the Law of Information 8t Telecommunication Protection has been compulsory to audit protection status on national information and Telecommunications Infra facilities such as communication, electricity, waterworks, airport, railway, primary facilities of government and the first financial circles. In U.S. institutions, organizations and corporations in each field are trying to prepare for Safe Har-bor agreed on Internet privacy regulation between U.S. and Europe to be effective in 2003. The Safe Harbor was motl-vated by strict European standard. Other countries make privacy and information protection law according to their own interest. Therefore Korean technical experts have to develop the law responding to national interest and public welfare. Besides scientific Held, experts in the field of politic, economy and academy also have to work hard to develop the law.
Ni-Cr-Mo-V강의 템퍼링에 의한 미세구조 변화와 하한계 피로균열진전 특성

Near-threshold fatigue crack growth characteristics was investigated on the Ni-Cr-Mo-V low alloy steel, which has the different microstructure obtained by tempering at various temperature. The specimens were austenized at 950℃ and then followed by tempering at 200℃, 530℃ and 600℃. Strain rate was obtained from strain gauge attached on the crack tip and crack opening point was observed through load-strain curve. Threshold stress intensity range(ΔK_(th)) was increased with increasing tempering tempuerature, but the effective threshold stress intensity rage(ΔK_(eff.th)) was not affected with the increasing temperature. Grain size increased with increasing tempering temperature.
단순흉부촬영과 Duel-Energy, Digital Tomosynthesis의 물리적 특성 비교평가에 관한 연구

목 적 : 본 연구는 간접방식 디지털 방사선시스템에서 chest phantom을 이용하여 환자 두께 변화에 따른 단순흉부촬영, Duel-Energy(이하 DE), Digital Tomosynthesis(이하 DTS) 영상을 물리적 평가를 하고자 한다. 대상 및 방법 : 연구에 사용되어진 General x-ray DE, DTS 검사는 본원 GE사의 Discovery XR656 장비를 사용하였다. Quality chest phantom(Duke07-646) 뒤에 Polymethylmethacrylate(PMMA) 0cm, 5cm, 10cm, 15cm를 놓고 동일조건으로 Lung section, Heart section을 나누어 조사하였다. DE 는 soft-tissue 영상을 대상으로 시행하였다. 이렇게 얻어진 영상으로 SNR, CNR, RMSE를 구하였으며, 각각의 수치를 비교 분석하였다. 결 과 : Phantom test에 의한 SNR은 두께가 증가함에 따라 대체적으로 비례하여 증가하였지만, 단순흉부촬영(lung section) 10cm일 때, SNR이 증가했다가 15cm일 때는 감소하는 결과가 나타났다. PMMA를 두지 않은 것과 PMMA 15cm와의 DTS는 최대 약 1.9배, DE 에서는 약 4.4배 정도 차이를 보였다. CNR은 Lung section에서 0~5cm구간은 감소하지만 10~15cm 구간은 상승하는 것으로 나타나며 Heart section에서는 DE에서만 10~15cm구간이 상승하는 것으로 관찰되었다. 또 한 PMMA를 두지 않은 것과 PMMA 15cm와의 Lung에서 DTS는 최대 약 5.3배, DE는 약 1.5배, Heart에서 DTS는 최대 약 18배, DE는 약 5배정도 차이가 크게 나타났다. RMSE값은 DTS에서의 Small ROI 값이 단순흉부촬영보다 Lung에서 23.7배, Heart에서 5.1배 더 높게 나타났다. 결 론 : 단순흉부촬영, DE와 DTS는 검사하고자 하는 목적이 다르다. 하지만 물리적인 화질 평가만 보자고 한다면 그 차이가 크다. 이번 연구에서는 SNR, CNR, RMSE와 같은 물리적 방법으로 분석한 결과 Lung, Heart section 포함하여 DTS에서 가장 우수한 화질평가를 받았 다. Purpose : Purpose of this study is to evaluating the Physical Characteristics of General chest radiography, Duel-Energy (hereinafter DE) and Digital Tomosynthesis (hereinafter DTS) according to patient weight changes by using a chest phantom in indirect digital radiography systems. Materials and Methods : General chest radiography, DE and DTS test were used GE s Discovery XR656 equipment in the study Quality chest phantom (Duke07-646) placed in front of Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) 0cm, 5cm, 10cm, and 15cm were exposed separately Lung and Heart section under the same conditions. DE was performed to target the soft-tissue imaging. Was thus obtained image to obtain SNR, CNR, RMSE, each of the levels were compared. Result : SNR was increasing in proportion according to increasing thickness generally by phantom test. General chest (lung section), when the SNR increases 10cm, but when 15cm, decreasing the results appeared. Not put PMMA and PMMA 15cm in DTS is up to approximately 1.9 times and DE in about 4.4 times differed. The CNR in Lung section 0 ~ 5cm intervals are reduced, but 10 ~ 15cm interval appears to be rising in the Heart section was observed to rise 10 ~ 15cm interval only DE. In addition, DTS of not put the PMMA and PMMA 15cm is up to about 5.3 times in the Lung, DE showed the difference of about 1.5 times. In Heart, up to about 18 times, DE is a difference of about 5 times increased. RMSE values of Small ROI in DTS were 23.7 times higher than those of General chest shooting in Lung and were 5.1 times higher in Heart. Conclusion : General chest radiography, DE and DTS are different from the purpose of examination. However the difference is greater, if only wanted to observe the physical quality performance. In this study, SNR, CNR, the analysis by physical methods such as RMSE, including Lung and Heart section received the highest quality rating in DTS.

Background : Many investigators have found transforming growth factor-${\beta}1$ (TGF-${\beta}1$) to be elevated in tumors. Changes in responsiveness to TGF-${\beta}1$ have been linked to malignant transformation, tumor progression and tumor regression. Many malignant cell lines of epithelial or hematopoietic origin are refractory to the antiproliferative effects of TGF-${\beta}1$. However, a little is known about the association of TGF-${\beta}1$ with progression of malignant tumor. Methods : In this study, we measured the plasma level of TGF-${\beta}1$ in various cancer patients and evaluated the utility of plasma TGF-${\beta}1$ as a possible tumor marker. Plasma TGF-${\beta}1$ levels were measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay in cancer patients and normal controls. Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) as tumor marker were compared with TGF-${\beta}1$ in the aspects of sensitivity and specificity. Results : The mean of plasma TGF-${\beta}1$ levels was $1.219{\pm}0.834ng/ml$ in normal controls, $5.491{\pm}3.598ng/ml$ in breast cancer, $12.670{\pm}10.386ng/ml$ in lung cancer, $5.747{\pm}3.228ng/ml$ in hepatocellular carcinoma and $10.854{\pm}7.996ng/ml$ in cervical cancer. In comparison with CEA and AFP, TGF-${\beta}1$ is more sensitive. Conclusion : We conclude that the high levels of TGF-${\beta}1$ are common in the plasma of cancer patients. These results suggest that the plasma TGF-${\beta}1$ level can be a potent tumor marker in various cancer patients.
