Bang, Jung-hwan Globalization ProjectⅡ(2019.11.4∼11.11) to inform Bang Jung-hwan’s world is a special event organized by the activities of the trilateral cultural exchange group across Denmark, Germany and Austria in 2019 after the Bang Jung-hwan globalization event that began at the Athens Korean Language School in 2018. In particular, 2019 marked the 120th anniversary of Bang Jung-hwan’s birth. It is the first time to hold a commemorative event overseas, not at home, in time for its birth date, “Nov. 9,” so there is a special historical feeling. The first event of the “2019 Project to Announce to the World of Bang Jung-hwan” was to visit Andersen’s grave, birthplace and memorial. We dedicated “The Andersen Fairy Tale selected by Bang Jung-hwan” (interpretation Jang Jeung-hee) to Andersen’s tomb and donated it to the Andersen Memorial Hall. The Vienna Korean Language School event consisted largely of three parts. In the first period, 11 children’s literature writers participated in the “Hangeul School Book Class.” From the second period, the ceremony was held in the auditorium to mark the 120th anniversary of Bang Jung-hwan’s birth. The participants performed Bang Jung-hwan’s “토끼의 재판(judgment of rabbit)” The third part held the “Bang Jung-hwan and the Korean Children’s Literature Exhibition 120” at the Hangeul School Gallery. The event has a historical meaning that it was the first time in Europe to celebrate the 120th anniversary of Bang Jung-hwan’s birth. It was also an opportunity to promote the Korean equation to the world. It is necessary to further develop the project so that the spirit of Bang Jung-hwan, a pioneer in the Korean children’s movement and children’s literature, can be passed on to children around the world.

A series of novel ascorbic acid derivatives, polyethoxylated ascorbic acid (PEAA) were synthesized by coupling ascorbic acid with polyethylene glycol (PEG) of two molecular weights (MW: 350 and 550) at the C-2 or C-3 hydroxyl group (2PEAA350, 3PEAA350, 2PEAA550, 3PEAA550) to increase the stability and retain the activity, as a skin whitening agent. Their stability, scavenging activity against free radical, inhibitoiy activity against tyrosinase and inhibitory activity of melanin synthesis in B16 melanoma cell of PEAAs were evaluated in vitro and compared with those of ascorbic acid and 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid (30EAA), a known stable vitamin C derivative. Among PEAAs, 2PEAA350 and 2PEAA550 liad high scavenging activity against free radical, inhibitoiy activity against tyrosinase and inhibitoiy activity of melanogenesis but low stability. 3PEAA350 had high stability and moderate scavenging activity against free radical, inhibitoiy activity against tyrosinase and inhibitoiy activity of melanogenesis. The stability, scavenging activity against free radical and inhibitoiy activity of melanogenesis of 3PEAA350 were higher than those of 30EAA. The most stable 3PEAA350 among PEAAs was nontoxic in various toxicological tests. These results suggest that PEAA would be a good whitening agent for enhancing stability and bioavailability.

Korea has been ranked as the country with the highest suicide rate for the last 10 consecutive years. This study investigated the current condition of suicide in Korea and its fundamental causes through related studies and research. It was discovered that the most important factors contributing to teenage suicide are related to academics and attaining entrance into university. For those in their twenties and older, the number one cause of suicide was found to be related to financial issues. This study further found that the root cause of troubling financial issues is closely related to social elements such as injustice, corruption, and inherited wealth. It was further discovered that, compared with other countries, economic incompetence in Korea brings with it a sense of self - degradation, relative deprivation, worthlessness, anger, and frustration, all of which play a role in suicidal behaviors. Furthermore, this study explored suicide from a Buddhist point of view and suggests applying the teachings of the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path to help those at risk. Also, this study suggests the use of meditation programs such as MSC, CFT, MBCT, MBSR, as well as the cultivation of mindfulness, loving - kindness for self, and self - compassion. Finally, the importance of developing a social network to support those at risk of suicide, as well as the need to securing government funding for such projects is emphasized.

This study stemmed from the belief that evaluation, when designed and implemented in a learning-oriented way, could promote individual, team, and organizational learning. The purpose of this study was to examine what and how evaluation stakeholders learn when they are involved in a learning-oriented evaluation of a HRD program. This study was designed based on a single case study approach. A hospital organization was chosen as a research site because of its accessibility and convenience. Qualitative methods such as semi structured interviews, participant observations, and document review were used to collect data throughout the evaluation process. Inductive and thematic analysis was the main framework for data analysis. This study found that when learning-oriented features such as participation, reflection, and dialogue were built in the evaluation process, the evaluation team members were engaged in and aware of their own learning. The evaluation team members learned about the program being evaluated and others` perspectives. Also, their learning resulted in changes in their thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes (process use). The learning oriented features of the evaluation-participation, dialogue, and reflection-helped the evaluation team members to learn from the process. There were however challenges that hindered the evaluation team members` learning such as limited time, unexpected work situations, and research design.

Japanese folktales that feature cows can be divided into those that describe the mutually beneficial relationship between humans and cows, and those that discuss cows from an ecological perspective. The former includes folklore, such as “Cows and Buddhism” and “Repenting as a Cow,” and the latter includes “The Origin of the Twelve Branches.” The reason cows are depicted as mythical creatures in “Cow and Avalokitesvara” is because the twelve animals that appear in Buddhist scriptures are believed to be akin to Buddha. Thus, it is believed that they deliver enlightenment to people. Kshitigarbha appears as a young monk in the “Cow and Kshitigarbha” because of the unique Japanese faith in Earth, where Kshitigarbha is considered to be a guardian bodhisattva for children. The image of a “boy riding a black cow” metaphorically depicts people whose nature is aligned with Buddhism, as described in the Ten Bulls. “Repenting as a cow” is a widespread folklore that is meant to teach people the value of hard work, life, and good deeds. In these folklores, cows are depicted in light of human laziness, disregard for the value of life, and evil deeds.

The purpose of this study is to arrange the type and feature of Rabbit Tales in Japan. First of all, the type of Rabbit Tales is divided into two types like <Trickster> type and <Moon rabbit> type. The <Trickster> type can be classified with the primary ``Self-centered type`` and secondary ``Decentralized type`` again. As to the feature of ``Self-centered type``, the rabbit deceives the opposite thoroughly in order to achieve its own purpose. In connection with the feature of ``Decentralized type``, the rabbit plays a role in the judge who punishes the assailant from the victim``s shoes contrary to the selfish figure as shown in the ``Self-centered type``, and there are a lot of recorded tales. This study was to deduct that the relationship between two Tricksters had developed from ``Self-centered type`` to ``Decentralized type`` based on the ``Theory of Child Development`` by Piaget. Accordingly, it is considered as the tales of ``Self-centered type`` are original stories, and the tales of ``Decentralized type`` are moral stories adding sense of justice written in future ages. The <Moon rabbit> type has contents that the rabbits are living on the moon, and it was originated from the Buddhist tales that the Sakra devanam Indra made the rabbits live in the moon forever as the rabbit in the country called India had behaved the Bodhisattva-practice. In addition, the image of Moon rabbit which presented the eternal life like perpetual youth because the rabbits were always sanctified in the Taoism in China.
