Purpose: To determine whether benign and malignant bone tumors with associated pathologic fractures can be differentiated using radiologic findings. Materials and Methods: Seventy-eight patients (47 men and 31 women, age range: 1–93 years) with a bone tumor and an associated pathologic fracture from 2004 to 2013 constituted the retrospective study cohort. The tumor size, margin, and enhancement patterns; the presence of sclerotic margin, the peritumoral bone marrow, soft tissue edema, extra-osseous soft tissue mass, intratumoral cystic/hemorrhagic/ necrotic regions, mineralization/sclerotic regions, periosteal reaction and its appearance; and cortical change and its appearance were evaluated on all images. Differences between the imaging characteristics of malignant and benign pathologic fractures were compared using Pearson’s chi-square test and the 2-sample ttest. Results: There were 22 benign and 56 malignant bone tumors. Some factors were found to significantly differentiate between benign and malignant tumors; specifically, ill-defined tumor margin, the presence of sclerotic tumor margin and an extraosseous soft tissue mass, the absence of cystic/necrotic/hemorrhagic portions in a mass, the homogeneous enhancement pattern, and the presence of a displaced fracture and of underlying cortical change were suggestive of malignant pathologic fractures. Conclusion: Some imaging findings were helpful for differentiating between benign and malignant pathologic fractures.
청피 추출물이 식중독 유발 미생물의 증식에 미치는 영향

This study was performed to investigate the antimicrobial effects of the Citrus unshiu Markovich extracts against food-borne pathogens. First, the Citrus unshiu Markovich was extracted with methanol at room tempetsture, and fractionation of the methanol extracts from Citrus unshiu Markovich was carried out by using petroleum ether, chloroform, ethyl acetate, and methanol. The antimicrobial activity of the Citrus unshiu Markovich extracts was determined using the paper disc method against food-borne pathogens and food spoilage bacteria. The ethyl acetate extracts ofCitrus unshiu Markovich showed the highest antimicrobial activity against Bacillus cereus and Shigella sonnei. A synergistic effect was found in combined extracts of Citrus unshiu Markovich and ffedyotis diffusa Willd as compared to each extract alone.Finally. the growth inhibition curve was determined using ethyl acetate extracts of Citrus unshiu Markovich against Bacillus cereus and Shigella simnel. The ethyl acetate extract of Citrus unshiu Markovich showed strong antimicrobial activity against Bacillus cereus at due concentration of 5,000 ppm. The 5.000 ppm of ethyl acetate extract from Citrus unshiu Markovich retarded the growth of Bacillus cereus more than 24 hours and Shigella sonnet up to 24 hours. The ethyl acetate extracts of Citrus unshiu Markovich have shown an antimicrobial effect against Bacillus cereus and Shigella sonnei.
정서 지원 부모교육에 대한 유치원 부모의 인식 및 요구

The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for related research by exploring kindergarten parents’ perceptions and demands for emotional support parent education. An online survey of 405 parents of kindergartens located in Gyeonggi-do was conducted to collect data and analyze technical statistics using SPSS 21.0. The survey will examine the feelings of parents who feel when playing with their children and the perceptions and demands of kindergarten parents on emotional support parent education. Through this study, it was confirmed that parents have a high demand for play-oriented parent education programs that strengthen parental and child emotions, and that workshop-oriented programs should be organized to support parent-child emotional understanding, emotional competence, and play methods and interactions.
상아질 접착제의 중합 시간 조절에 따른 복합레진의 중합 수축 방향의 변화

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of adhesive curing timing on the direction of polymerization shrinkage of light-curing composite resin. In this study, the curing times of adhesive and composite resin were measured by differential scanning calorimeter(DSC). 28 extracted human molars were embedded in clear resin and box-type cavities were prepared. Based on DSC data. the experimental teeth were divided into 4 groups. Group 1: no bond: Group 2: late curing: Group 3: Intermediate curing: Group 4: Early curing. After treating with adhesive, the buccal cavities were filled with Z-100 hybrid composite resin and the lingual ones were filled with AEliteflo flowable composite resin. The depressions at the surface were measured by surface profilometer, then the specimens were embedded in clear resin and sectioned. Impressions were obtained and used to get epoxy resin replicas. The epoxy replicas were gold-coated and observed under SEM. Average Maximum Gap(AMG), Gap Proportion(GP), Average Marginal Index(AMI) were used to compare the shrinkage gap of each group. The results were statistically analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis One Way ANOVA, Student-Newman-Keuls method. The results of this study were as follows. 1. Average Maximum Gap. Gap Proportion, Average Marginal Index and depression at the surface of Z-100 hybride composite resin were smailer than those of AEliteflo flowable composite resin(P(0.05) 2. When the bonding between composite resin and tooth structure was strong, the shrinkage gap was small, and depression at the surface was deep(P<0.05). 3. In the well-bonded group. light-curing composite resin shrank toward bonded cavity wall. not toward light source. The result suggested that the direction of polumerization shrinkage was affected by the quality of bonding in the dentin-resin interface. The strong was the bonding between composite resin and tooth structure, the smaller was the gap and the deeper was the depression at the surface. Then the flow to compensate the polymerization shrinkage proceeded from surface to bonded cavity wall.
