Harmonization of DNA codes and expressed proteins using Janus particle
배기현,문성준,최지현,이경진 한국공업화학회 2016 한국공업화학회 연구논문 초록집 Vol.2016 No.1
The Janus particle has been attracted because the particle can be conjugated with different functional groups on each hemisphere. However, the practical application of the Janus particle was extremely rare without Janus printing and some cascade catalysts. Here, we introduce practical application of Janus particle as harmonization of geno- and pheno-type of protein on single particle. The Janus platform was successively fabricated via Pt-sputtering on the amino-silane treated silica sphere. DNA including green fluorescence protein (GFP) and streptavidin-binding protein (SBP) sequence was conjugated with one side of the Janus particle via thiol-metal conjugation. And then, the other side of the particle was covered with streptavidin by EDC/NHs coupling. The specific DNA of protein was expressed in emulsion using in-vitro expression. The GFP can conjugated with the other side of Janus particle by the SBP. As the results, the Janus particle could be applied to DNA screening platform.
호주와 일본의 대아세안 지원 협력 비교: 다자 효용성을 중심으로

This article aims to compare how the Australian and Japanese governments promote multilateralism in assisting the development of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) as a regional cooperative entity in Southeast Asia. As prominent middle powers advocating multilateralism in East Asia, it is widely perceived that the Australian and Japanese governments share similar policy priorities in supporting the development of ASEAN as a core regional institution that will contribute to the enhancement of regional multilateral architecture. However, this consensus does not explain variance in specific foreign policy preference of each government. In spite of seemingly similar objectives and rhetoric about multilateralism, this article identifies differences between Australia and Japan in designing specific policy directions on how to support multilateralism in ASEAN. It particularly claims that the differences reflect the extent to which each government prioritizes multilateral utility of ASEAN. While the Australian government focuses on ASEAN’s growing multilateral utility of ASEAN in strengthening its compatibility and complementarity with other global governance institutions, the Japanese government pays less attention to it but accommodates the principles and practices of Westphalian multilateralism. It implies an uncoordinated multilateralization of regional institutions in the region including ASEAN, in which major players practice multilateralism proactively but their definition and purpose of multilateralism diverges.

In this paper, a fuzzy compensated PID control system is proposed for formation control of mobile robots. The control system consists of a kinematic controller based on the leader-follower approach and a dynamic controller to handle dynamics effects of mobile robots. To maintain the desired formation of mobile robots, the dynamic controller is equipped with a PID controller; however, the PID controller has poor performance in nonlinear and changing environments. In order to improve these problem, we applied the additional fuzzy compensator. Finally, the proposed control system has been evaluated through computer simulation to demonstrate the improved results.
