문화콘텐츠로서의 『국역 고려사』 전산화 방안

This study is to emphasize the necessity to informatize <Korean- translated GoryeoSa(Goryeo History)> as one of cultural contents with the publication of new Korean-translation and commentary of <GoryeoSa>. In addition to it, it is also necessary to set up the more advanced computerization plan of <Korean-translated GoryeoSa> for ordinary readers to keep up with the informatization age. First of all, it is necessary to arrange <GoryeoSa> in the chronological order and restore <Annals of Goryeo Dynasty> for its computerization. Then, it is necessary to make Goryeo History system for the computerization as a cultural content for ordinary people. Reflecting diverse demands of ordinary people, it should also contain the computerization plan as an educational material for elementary and high schoolers to be an intensive but encyclopedia-like system that comprehends the history and the culture of Goryeo Dynasty. And the Goryeo cultural contents produced like this should be provided to anyone who wants with no economic and social restrictions. 이 글은 『고려사』가 새롭게 국역․역주되어 출간된 것을 계기로, 문화콘텐츠로서의 『국역 고려사』 전산화 및 정보화 사업의 필요성에 대해 살펴본 글이다. 이제 새롭게 『고려사』가 국역․역주 되었으므로, 이를 바탕으로 학술적으로 시급한 『국역 고려사』의 전산화 작업이 이루어져야 할 것이다. 이어서 정보화 시대에 맞춰 보다 점진되고 일반 대중을 위한 『국역 고려사』의 전산화 방안이 추구되어야 할 것이다. 우선 『고려사』의 편년화 작업을 추진하여 『고려왕조실록』의 복원과 전산화 작업이 이루어져야 할 것이다. 이어 일반 대중을 위한 문화콘텐츠로서의 고려시대사 체계를 만들어 전산화하는 작업이 이루어져야 한다. 일반인의 다양한 요구를 반영하면서, 초․중등 교육 자료로서의 전산화 방안, 고려시대 대백과사전과 같은 형태의 고려시대 역사와 문화가 집약된 전산화 체계가 구축되어야 할 것으로 생각된다. 더불어 이렇게 제작된 고려시대 문화콘텐츠는 경제적, 사회적 조건에 의해 제약받지 않고 원하는 누구에게나 제공되는 체계를 갖추어야 할 것이다.

Sodium hypochlorite solution has been widely used as endodontic irrigant due to its ability to dissolve pulp tissue debris and its antimicrobial action. This in vitro study was conducted to evaluate the solvent action of sodium hypochlorite solution on vital plup tissue under various conditions include concentration, exposure time, and temperature. The percentage of weight loss due to pulp tissue dissolution was calculated with weight difference of lyophilized specimens before and after the exposure to test solutions. The results were as follows; Statistical analysis indicated that the ability of both 5.0% and 2.5% sodium hypochlorions to dissolve pulp tissue was sighificantly greatet than that of distilled water, but no significant difference was found between 5.0% and 2.5% sodium hypochlorite solutions. There was no significant increase in the pulp tissue dissolving of sodium hypochlorite solutions, as exposure time increased 2 minutes, 5 minutes, and 10 minutes. Of the given temperatures, no significant difference was found in the solvent action of sodium hypochlorite solution on pulp tissue between 20℃ (room temperature) and 37℃ (body temperature).

In Joyce's age, Irish priests were regarded as the dominant subjects of society. The priests participated in the political actions and many social activities. They also were concerned with the secular affairs such as the fox hunting, materialism. In addition they had the haughtiness as the imperialist who thought of themselves as the ideal stereotype. So the Irish priests treated the young students as the inferior beings or the Others. To criticize these states quo, Joyce described the priests as the men who represented the imperial figures in Portrait. In Portrait there are many priests(Fathers) who represent the imperial articulations and behaviors in Clongowes and in Belvedere College. Especially Father Arnall, Father Dolan, and rector showed the students their haughty and violent articulations / behaviors as the imperialists as follows. At first, Father Arnall had the four imperial aspects in his articulations and behaviors. He represented the slippages of articulation in 'the sermon of the hell' and 'the quotation of bible'(116-46). Also he infused the Britain / imperial historical view into the students(8). And he ignored the students' identity(50), forcing the prefects and officers to set good examples to their fellow students(118). Secondly, Father Dolan who hit the Stephen unfairly and cruelly had the four imperial aspects, too. He presented the lack of affection for the colonized students. And he didn't admit the colonized individual reality. Futhermore he held scorn in the school's law and broke the law with his haughtiness. He always enjoyed the linguistic violence to the students, too. Finally, the rector of the college represented the imperial images. He had the disgusting images such as "waning figure, the shrewd northern face, and the craft of jesuits." Futhermore in spite of misunderstanding Stephen's false piety, he inducted Stephen to be a priest. Eventually he was absurd enough not to recognize the Other's identity correctly. It represented the imperial partiality of judgment. In conclusion the Irish priests represented the typical figures of imperialism consciously or unconsciously. Their articulations and behaviors, however, had the contradiction in themselves, for they were only agents and mimics of colonialist authority. Therefore the irony of the imperial representation of these priests was that on the contrary they were reducing the imperial authority because of the partiality on their representation.

Impaired control of lower limb movement is often major causes of functional disturbances that affect patient’s independent activities in daily living. Although the ability to apply what has been learned to different or new environmental contexts is an important goal in motor rehabilitation of neurological patients, little is known about how distance control practice using lower limbs would influence their capability of motor transfer in patients with cerebellar ataxia. Twelve patients with cerebellar ataxia and 12 age- and gender-matched healthy controls participated in the study. Participants practiced horizontal reaching to targets with 3 distances (5cm, 10cm, and 15cm) with their right lower limbs and later performed transfer tests 1) with different distances (7cm and 13cm), and 2) with same distances at vertical direction. The results indicated that patient group showed a significant transfer effect when performing the task with novel distances, but not to different direction. These findings suggest that motor transfer for distance control of lower limb can happen through repeated practice in cerebellar patients. However, it appears that a task-specific principle needs to apply to facilitate the effectiveness of rehabilitation in their control of lower-limb movements.

Objectives: This study investigated the efficacy of Korean medical treatment for a headache (suspected CPSP) patient with a history of cerebral infarction. Methods: We treated the patient using Korean medical treatments (herbal medicines-Kamiseokyong-tang, acupuncture, pharmacopuncture, and chuna). The treatments were measured using the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) and the Neck Disability Index (NDI) for headache and post neck pain. General health status was evaluated using the European Quality of Life Five Dimensions (EQ-5d) Scale. Results: We observed improvements in the NRS, NDI, and EQ-5d scores after the treatments. Conclusions: This study suggests that Korean medicine may effectively treat headaches (suspected CPSP) with accompanying cerebral infarction.

Surgical Treatment of a Life-Threatening Large Retropharyngeal Hematoma after Minor Trauma : Two Case Reports and a Literature Review

Only a few cases of anterior longitudinal ligament (ALL) injury related with retropharyngeal hematoma without fracture have previously been reported. The treatment of choice for retropharyngeal hematoma is generally considered to be conservative care, but we believe that early surgery of this pathology would be better in certain situations. Here, we describe two cases with life-threatening large retropharyngeal hematomas related with ALL injuries and operated on at an early stage. Two previously healthy patients visited the emergency room with neck pain and dyspnea after falling. Serious neck swelling was observed and lateral neck X-ray showed severe widening of the prevertebral space. Due to dyspnea progression, emergency endotracheal intubation was performed. Although there was no primary cause of the retropharyngeal hematoma on preoperative examination, ALL tearing was intraoperatively confirmed during early surgery. The in-hospital evolutions of the patients were favorable after surgery. We should bear in mind the possibility of ALL injury and perform early surgery where possible given the earlier convalescence and good prognosis.
