Ginseng root, as a folk medicine, has been used in far eastern countries for thousands of years. Ginseng extract has been shown to have a variety of effects on the activity of the central nervous system, promoting stimulation as well as inhibition of the cortical activity. A survey of the relevant literatures has indicated that the putative anxiolytic activity of red ginseng has not been scientifically investigated. Therefore, the present study was designed to assess anxiolytic effect of gingseng total saponins(GTS). The putative anxiolytic effects of several fractions of GTS were investigated in mice using an elevated plus maze paradigm. Single dose administration of TS Fr.-I showed anxiolytic action in mice. Anxiolytic effect induced by TS Fr.-I was similar to that induced by diazepam. TS Fr.-II, TS Fr.-III and TS Fr.-IV did not show the anxiolytic action compared with that of TS Fr.-I. It was suggested that regulation of GABAergic neurotransmission may be important in the action of GTS. The Interaction of GTS fractions with benzodiazepine receptor was performed using rat cortical membranes. GTS inhibited the binding of [3H] Ro 15-1788 on the benzodiazepine receptor. Among from TS fractions, the binding activity of GTS in the TS Fr.-IV was highest, which did not show the anxiolytic activity. From these results, we conclude that GTS has anxiolytic action, and this is not related to benzodiazepine receptor binding activity.

This essay deals with the tendency of the study of East Asian religions in Korea, and the current situation of academic exchanges of East Asian Scholars in religious studies. The purpose of it is groping to establish ‘East Asian Religious Studies` by East Asian Scholar’ communal efforts. I reviewed 7 academic unit and their journals such as Religion and Culture of Center for Religious Studies(Seoul National University), Journal of Korean Religions of Institute for the Study of Religion (Sogang University), Journal of Religion and Culture of Center for Religious and Cultural Studies(Hanshin University), The Critical Review of Religion and Culture(The Korean Institute for Religion and Culture), Korean Journal of Religious Studies(Korean Association for Religious Studies), and Journal of New Religions(Korean Association for the New Religions). There are several characteristics of the study of East Asian religions of Korean Scholars that I found out in journals mentioned above. First of all, Korean Scholars of religious studies have been centered upon the study of religions in China and Japan. And their studies were different in the time of religions they study each country, that is their studies were mainly concentrated upon the archaic religions of China and the modern Japanese religions. Secondly, it was very intermittent and indeterminate that Korean academic circle have exchanged with East Asian scholars in last three decades. I were not able to find any trend or tendency in academic interchange among them. And it is another considerable fact that papers of a few scholars are a lot, but a great number of scholars contributed one or two articles. I suggested some roles and overtures for ‘East Asian Religious Studies’ on the bases of my findings in review of journals such as a communal invitation of East Asian scholars of academic units in religious studies of Korea, the establishment of East Asian Association for Religious Studies, the joint research among East Asian scholars, the translation of papers other languages of East Asian countries, and etc.

This paper put its purpose on the critical review to the relation of theology and rituals of ‘The Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea’(PROK) as a protestant denomination in Korea. PROK was established in 1953 as a new denomination of Presbyterian Church with ‘Missio Dei’ theology. That had meant PRO made clear its identity as a church of the participation in the social and political affairs. In 1980s, PROK renewed its theology into ‘the theology of justice, peace and integration of creation’, There was some widen concerns about nature and international relations including North Korea. In the time of 50thanniversary, PROK promoted new theology in the spirit of Holy Year of Jubilee, which is ‘the theology of grace, life and service.’ The history of PROK was realization process of its theologies in churches and societies. And a lot of rituals of PROK were reflections of its theologies. I have researched the change, renewal and invention of the rituals in the official books of common worship of PROK with critical perspectives, and found some characteristics of PROK as a protestant denomination in Korea: Firstly, it the spirit of freedom that PROK could change and realize its theology with rituals. So PROK is known most liberal denomination in Korea. Secondly, PROK is a progressive denomination in a sense of its invention of ritual such as the memorial worship of democratization, ceremonies for divorced persons, and etc. Thirdly, PROK shows its characteristic in adapting the traditional rituals of Korean culture. Several churches of PROK used to apply the terms, musical tools, and structure of Korean folk rituals in Sunday main worship. Lastly, though PROK changed its theology two times, ‘Missio Dei’ theology plays an important role its activities in social and political affairs. It remains as the symbol of PROK.

본 연구는 서비스업 전문직 종사자를 대상으로 개인-조직 적합성과 개인-직무 적합성이 긍정적인 행동으로 이어지는 경로에서 동일화의 매개효과를 검증하고자 한다. 동일화의 매개효과는 사회적 일체감 모형을 통하여 설명하였으며, 개인-조직 적합성은 조직 일체감을 통하여, 개인-직무 적합성은 직업 일체감을 통하여 행동으로 이어지는 경로를 검증하였다. 233명의 서비스업 전문직을 대상으로 검증한 결과, 개인-조직 적합성은 직접적으로, 그리고 조직 일체감을 통하여 간접적으로 역할 행동에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 개인-직무 적합성은 직접적으로, 그리고 직업 일체감을 매개하여 간접적으로 역할 행동에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과와 관련한 시사점, 한계점, 추후 연구과제에 대해서도 논의하였다.

본 논문은 전략적 인사관리의 보편론적 접근법과 상황론적 접근법을 적용하여 인사관리부문의 전략적 역할수행이 독립적으로, 그리고 전략변화가 있는 기업에서 전략변화와의 상호작용을 통해 조직성과에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. 연구 자료는 상시근로자 100인 이상을 고용하고 있는 우리나라 기업의 인사담당자(팀장급)와 기획담당자(팀장급)에게 설문조사를 수행하여 획득하였다. 분석결과, 인사관리부문의 전략적 역할수행은 보편적으로 조직성과를 향상시키며, 전략변화와의 상호작용을 통해서도 조직성과에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 세부적으로, 전략변화 시기에 인사관리부문의 전략적 역할을 크게 수행하면 조직성과가 향상되는 것으로 관리자들이 지각하는 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 방어형 전략에서 공격형 전략으로의 변화가 있을 때 인사관리부문의 전략적 역할이 크게 수행되면 계량적인 성과지표가 향상되는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 전략적 인사관리의 보편론적 접근법과 상황론적 접근법을 모두 만족시키는 결과이다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 연구의 의의, 한계 및 추후연구과제에 대해서도 논의하였다. We investigated the impact of HR department's strategic role on organizational performance, based on universalistic approach and contingency approach of strategic human resource management. We used contingency variable as strategic change. We collected data from a HR manager and a strategic planning manager in 300 firms, which had above 100 full-time workers. Results of the study showed that HR's strategic role increased organizational performance universally, and that the interaction between HR's strategic role and strategic change also improved organizational performance. We also discussed the implications and limitations of our study, and suggested the direction for future research.
인지된 팀 활성화 및 훈련개발투자가 연구개발인력의 태도에 미치는 영향: 연구개발강도와 혁신환경의 조절효과에 대한 다수준 연구

연구개발인력(이하 연구인력)을 어떻게 관리하느냐는 기업의 혁신역량 강화 및 지속적인 경쟁력 제고에 있어서 매우 중요한 과제이지만, 어떤 요인들이 연구인력의 태도에 영향을 미치는 가에 대한 연구는 매우 부족했다. 본 연구는 한국직업능력개발원의 2009년도 인적자본기업패널조사 자료를 사용하여 개인수준에서 인지된 팀작업 활성화 및 훈련개발투자가 연구인력의 직무만족과 조직몰입에 미치는 영향과 이러한 관계에 영향을 미치는 조직수준의 연구개발관련 상황요인(연구 개발강도 및 혁신환경)의 효과에 대해서 위계적 선형모형(Hierarchical Linear Model) 분석을 활용한 다수준 연구를 통하여 살펴보았다. 분석결과, 자율성과 다양성이 높고 소통과 협력이 활성화된 팀작업, 교육훈련과 경력개발에 대한 투자는 연구인력의 직무만족과 조직몰입을 높이는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 기업의 연구개발강도는 이러한 인사 관행들과 연구인력의 태도 간의 관계를 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 연구개발투자를 많이 하는 기업일수록 인사 관행이 연구인력의 직무만족및 조직몰입에 미치는 정( + )의 효과를 강화하는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 우리는 연구의 이론적・실천적 시사점과 연구의 한계 그리고 추후 연구 과제를 제시하였다. How to deal with R&D workers is important to reinforce innovation capability and obtain continuous competitiveness of corporation. It is not enough for research on the determinants of R&D worker’s attitudes. In individual level, we examined the relationships between perceived HR practices and job satisfaction/organizational commitment. And we investigated the effect of environment factors on these relationships as multi-level research using hierarchical linear model. We used the data of human capital company pennell data collected by Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education & Training in 2009. The results showed the positive effects of autonomous, diverse, highly communicated and cooperative team work and HRD to job satisfaction and organizational commitment. We also found that R&D work intensity moderated the relationship between perceived HR practices and R&D worker’s attitudes. We also suggested theoretical and practical implications, limitations, and future research agendas.
