Objectives: Osteoporosis is a disease of bones that is thought to result from an imbalance between bone resorption and bone formation. Although osteoporosis itself has no symptoms, osteoporosis caused by osteoclasts leads to an increased risk of fracture. Here we examined the effects of cornus officinalis on receptor activator of nuclear factor-kappaB ligand (RANKL)-mediated osteoclast differentiation. Methods: We evaluated the effects of cornus officinalis on RANKL-induced osteoclast differentiation from bone marrow-derived macrophages (BMMs) and performed a cytotoxicity assay, reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), and Western blot analysis. Results: Cornus officinalis significantly inhibits RANKL-mediated osteoclast differentiation in a dose-dependent manner, but without cytotoxicity against BMMs. The mRNA expression of tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP),osteoclast-associated receptor (OSCAR), c-Fos, and nuclear factor of activated T cells cytoplasmic 1 (NFATc1) in BMMs treated with RANKL was considerably inhibited by cornus officinalis treatment. Also, cornus officinalis inhibits the protein expression of c-Fos and NFATc1. Cornus officinalis greatly inhibits RANKL-induced phosphorylation of p38 and c-JUN N-terminal kinase (JNK). Also, cornus officinalis significantly suppresses RANKL-induced degradation of I-κB.
Research status for long term half‐life PET radioisotopes in KIRAMS

It is essential use of long term half life radioisotopes for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging study of biopharmaceuticals because most of biopharmaceuticals have long biological half-life. Some representative isotopes are 124I, 64Cu, 89Zr and so on. These PET radioisotopes and their radiopharmaceuticals have recently received growing interest because of long half life and good imaging properties. Furthermore, 64Cu and 89Zr can be used in a number of radiopharmaceuticals due to its ease of conjugation to peptides and antibodies using the proper chelator. In recent years, since 124I was first developed in 2005, we have been studied to develop an efficient method and procedure for producing these radioisotopes, and we have made considerable progress in production of long term half life radioisotopes. 아바타를 활용한 진로탐색 미술 프로그램 - 칼라코드 앱을 중심으로 -

본 연구는 자기 이해를 바탕으로 자신의 가능성을 발견하고, 하고자 하는 일에 대한 가치를 찾도록 하는 진로 탐색 프로그램으로서 아바타 제작 미술활동을 개발하고 적용한 후 그 효과성과 칼라코드 매체를 활용한 자신의 명함, 영상을 감상함으로써 얻을 수 있는 효과성을 제시하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 중학교 1학년 학생을 대상으로 총 5차시, ‘과거시제’, ‘현재시제’, ‘미래시제’로 구성하여 진행하였다. 그 결과 진로탐색을 위한 아바타제작 미술교육 프로그램을 통해 얻은 교육적 효과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학생이 자신에 대한 마인드맵을 통해 내면을 알아감으로써 자신의 특성과 흥미를 깨달아 자신이 하고자 하는 일의 가치를 알게 되었다. 둘째, 자아 탐색을 통해 자기이해를 높여 아바타 제작을 함으로써 진로탐색의 계기를 마련할 수 있었다. 셋째, 칼라코드 매체를 이용해 미래의 ‘명함’ 및 ‘자기영상’을 감상함으로써 진로 설계를 현실화할 수 있는 자기주도적인 태도를 함양할 수 있었다. This study was to develop and apply the avatar art activity as a career search program to find out the possibility of oneself based on self-understanding and to find out the value of work. Furthermore, this study has suggested the effect obtained by appreciating their own business card and images in the use of color code media. Art program has been conducted for five sessions in ‘past tense’ ‘present tense’ and ‘future tense’ on first graders in Middle School. As a result education effect obtained from the art program for career exploration in manufacturing Avatar is as follows. First, there was an effect as to how students ended up knowing their inner strength through mind-map realizing their characteristics and personal interest. Secondly, Avatar was manufactured by enhancing an understanding about them through self-exploration. Third, students appreciated their ‘business card’ and ‘video clip’ by using color code media building self-leading attitude in realizing career design.

본 연구는 일반의약품인 OTC (over the counter drug)의 약국이외 판매에 따른 갈등의 이슈에 대하여 개선대책을 제시하는데 연구목적이 있다. 연구방법은 선행 문헌연구, 도서관 연구(library method), 기관 및 직능단체, 소비자 등을 방문하여 심층면접방법(depth interview method)에 의해 연구결과를 도출하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 선진국의 사례를 우리나라 특성에 맞게 의약품을 분류하여, 국민의 편의성과 오․남용의 부작용이 없는 간단한 의약품에 대해서는 슈퍼, 편의점에서도 판매 되는 것이 좋을 수 있다는 인터뷰 결과는 소비자 지향적이어야 한다. 둘째, 정부에는 업태 간 갈등(intertype conflict)에 대한 의약품 OTC 유통, 약국유통의 개선방안과 약국의 환경요소 연구내용으로 합리화 방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구의 공헌은 국내에 OTC 유통의 업태 간 갈등에 대한 연구 논문의 효시로 정부, 유통단체, 소비자측면에서 개선방안과 방향 제시로 우리나라 OTC 유통에 지침이 되고 있다. The purpose of this study was to find solution to the conflicts caused by selling over-the-counter (OTC) drugs at general retail stores besides pharmacies. For this purpose, I used literature method, library method, and depth interview method on organizations, vocational institutions, and consumer groups. In result, several findings were discovered. First, the interviewees responded that pharmaceutical items must be classified effectively and simple drugs that are not subject to the risk of misuse or abuse shall be sold at supermarkets or convenient stores for the convenience of consumers. Second, this study proposed measures for the government to distribute OTC drugs in a way that can prevent intertype conflicts, improve pharmaceutical distribution, and rationalize the environment of pharmacies. The significance of this study is that it is the first study done on the intertype conflicts concerning OTC distribution of Korea and it provides guidelines to OTC distribution by suggesting improvement measures for the government, distributors, and consumers.
