The purpose of this study is to experimentally analyze the seismic performance of beam-column specimens with vertical irregular, which were reinforced with RHS (Replaceable steel haunch system). a steel haunch system. To evaluate the seismic performance of the RHS, three specimens were manufactured and subjected to cycle loading tests. Retrofitted specimens have different beam-upper column stiffness ratio as a variable. The stiffness ratio of beam-upper column were considered to be 1.2 and 0.84. As a result of the test, the specimen reinforced with RHS showed improved maximum load and effective stiffness, and energy dissipation capacity compared to the non-retrofitted specimen with same beam-upper column stiffness ratio. This thesis elucidates the limitations and possibilities of the prospects that recent new cognitive theory have provided to the study of religion. For this, first, I examine the efforts of the cognitive theorists of religion to integrate two different methods in the study of religion, explanation and interpretation. Despite diverse efforts, it is found that such an integration has not yet been fully achieved. Secondly, as a case for assessing the contribution of the cognitive theory to the study of religion, I examine the analyses of magic by several cognitive theorists of religion. Compared to the past analyses with other methods, cognitive analyses of magic is found to be not greatly new. In conclusion, as there are some limitations in the synthesis and novelty of the cognitive study of religion, its possibilities need to be more scrupulously reassessed.
