This is a case report on an unusual - heavy buccal frenum in young lady which was treated by frenectomy, vestibuloplasty and total-palatal mucosal free graft. The authors noticed that this abnormal condition lead several chronic complications in young patient as like as premature loss of upper molar teeth, early and rapid loss of alveolar bone around insertion of frenum, over - extended eruption of lower molar teeth and abnormal mandibular movements, etc. After frenectomy and surgical extension of buccal vestiblue on both upper and lower posterior regions, we obtained a full - sized palatal mucosal graft and moved it on upper and lower extension area seperately as two pieces of free grafts to offer inherent function of denture - bearing mucogingiva and same color - matching with oral mucosa and to prevent post - operative relapse of vestibular height. We discussed here about unusual abnormality and their complcations of unusual buccal frenum and its treatment.

In this paper, we propose a novel multipath mitigation scheme using maximum slope change of the correlator output between the received and locally generated reference signals. Since the proposed scheme employs only the prompt correlator, it does not require a high speed digital signal processing for the narrow early-late spacing, unlike the narrow correlator (NC) and strobe correlator (SC). Moreover, in the presence of the multipath, the proposed scheme has an unbiased tracking error, whereas the NC and SC schemes have a biased tracking error due to the non-symmetric property of the correlation output.
High-Resolution Multi-Beam Tracking With Low Overhead for mmWave Beamforming System

In millimeter wave communication, the beamforming technique with accurate angle information plays a key role to overcome the high path-loss and mitigate the interference. Particularly with multiple mobile stations (MSs), accurate multi-beam tracking without any knowledge of dynamic model is challenging. In this regard, we propose the model-free multi-beam tracking algorithm combining the Q-learning with auxiliary beam pair-based angle estimation in multi-MS environment. The proposed scheme benefits from low pilot overhead and high-resolution angle estimation. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme outperforms the conventional schemes in terms of the effective sum-rate.
과제 지향적 활동프로그램이 치매환자의 자기효능감과 일상생활활동, 삶의 질에 미치는 영향

목적 :본 연구는 치매거점병원 입원하고 있는 치매 환자를 대상으로 과제 지향적 활동프로그램이 자기효능감과 일상생활활동, 삶의 질에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 실시하였다. 연구방법 : 2015년 2월부터 동년 3월까지였고, 대상자 선별 기준에 따라 12명의 대상자를 선별하였고, 치료 중재는 1일 1회 30분, 주 5회, 총 4주간(20회기) 실시하였다. 치료 중재 전⋅후 자기효능감과 일상생활활동, 삶의 질을 측정하기 위해 자기효능감 척도(Self-Efficacy Scale: SES)와 기능적 독립 측정(Functional Independence Measure: FIM), 치매노인의 삶의 질 척도(Geriatric Quality Of Life-dementia: GQOL-D)를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS version 20.0 통계 프로그램을 사용하여 분석하였다. 빈도분석, 대응표본 t-test, 피어슨 상관분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 : 첫째, 과제 지향적 활동프로그램을 통해 치매환자의 자기효능감(SES)이 통계학적으로 유의하게 향상되었다(p< .001). 둘째, 과제 지향적 활동프로그램을 통해 치매환자의 일상생활활동(FIM)이 통계학적으로 유의하게 향상되었다(p< .001). 셋째, 과제 지향적 활동프로그램을 통해 치매환자의 삶의 질(GQOL-D)이 통계학적으로 유의하게 향상되었다(p< .001). 결론 : 본 연구의 결과를 통하여 과제 지향적 활동프로그램이 치매환자의 자기효능감과 일상생활활동, 삶의 질에 유의미한 효과가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 치매환자에게 적용할 수 있는 적합한 활동프로그램이 될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. 앞으로 더욱 다양한 과제 지향적 활동프로그램 개발을 기대해 본다. Objective : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of task-oriented activities on self efficacy, activities of daily living skills, and quality of life in patients with dementia. Method : Twelve patients with dementia were participated for one month period of the experiments ; the interventions were given five times a week for four week, performed thirty minutes once a day. Self-efficacy was evaluated by Self-Efficacy Scale(SES) and ADL was assessed by Functional Independence Measure (FIM) and quality of life were by Geriatric Quality Of Life-dementia (GQOL-D). The data was analyzed using the statistical program SPSS version 20.0. Intervention results was paired t-test and Pearson correlation coefficient. Result : First, Scores of Self-Efficacy Scale(SES) were significantly increased(p< .001). Second, Scores of FIM were significantly increased(p< .001). Third, Scores of Geriatric Quality Of Life-dementia (GQOL-D) were significantly increased(p< .001). Conclusion : This study indicated that the task-oriented approach program may affect on self-efficacy, activity of daily living skills, and quality of life for patients with dementia. In conclusion, the findings of this study indicated that the task-oriented approach program can be useful for patients with dementia. Further studies, such as controlled trials, need to be followed to verify the effectiveness of the intervention.
급성 뇌경색증의 뇌동맥내 국소적 혈전용해술에 의한 치료

Purpose : To evlauate the efficacy of direct intracranial thrombolytic therapy in patients with acute atherothrombotic and embolic stoke. Materials and Methods : Forty-one patients with cerebral thromboembolic disease, all in the area of the middle cerebral artery and including two cases of internal carotid artry occlusion, were treated with microcatheter-directed local intraarterial thrombolysis, using 180,000 to 1,000,000unit urokinase and 15 to 50mg of tissue plasminogen activator (tPA). The time elapsed before treatment ranged from260 to 470 minute (mean : 380 minutes). The effect of treatment was assessed by cerebral angiography, by CT and by the clinical outcome. Resulsts : For 25 patients (61%), complete vessel recanalization was successful, In eightand three cases, respectively, the result was partial recanalization and residual stenosis. In 21 patients (51%), both acute neurologic and functional outcomes improved significantly within 24 hours and in 92% of patients, within one month. Hemorrhagic transformations occured in five patients (12.2%), and in five others there were high density lesions around the basal ganglia and temporal lobe, which was cleared on CT within 24 hours This suggested transient extravasation of the contrast media rather than true hemorrhage. tPA showed better results than urokinase in terms of the rate of recanlization (68.7% vs 56.7%) and the occurrence of hemorrhagic infarction(6.3%vs 16.9%). Conclusions : Local intraarterial cerebral thrombolysis is thought be an effective method in the treatment of acute brain infarction, but in some patients may cause intracerebral hemorrhage in some patients.
부반송파 내 공통 펄스를 이용한 비모호 TMBOC 상관함수 생성 기법

Although Time-Multiplexed Binary Offset Carrier (TMBOC) signals offer many advantages including efficient bandwidth sharing and high signal tracking accuracy, there is a risk of false signal tracking due to autocorrelation side peaks. To solve this problem, in this paper we propose an unambiguous correlation function for TMBOC signal tracking. The TMBOC subcarrier has a complex shape since the subcarrier is generated by combining two kinds of sine-phased BOC subcarriers. The sine-phased BOC subcarriers forming the TMBOC sub-carrier have common pulses at the center of each subcarrier. Using these common pulses, we propose an unambiguous TMBOC correlation function generation scheme applicable to the TMBOC subcarrier. In numerical results, we confirm that the proposed correlation function provides a better signal tracking performance than those of conventional correlation functions.
